I had a total hip replacement about 6 months ago after years of pain and stiffness in my hip joint. As I am only in my late 40s I was reluctant to get it replaced at a relatively young age. Since the procedure I have felt like a different person and the pain that I had went immediately after the operation. I have just had a routine 6 month checkup with Mr Malek and the hip has healed nicely. I chose Mr Malek due to his experience with minimal evasive hip surgery and from the initial consultation through to the operation and aftercare I have been highly impressed with the overall process and his work. He is very approchable and helpful and made me feel I was in good hands. Furthermore, there has been little damage to the affected area which has allowed me to recover very quickly. Eventually I will need my other hip replacing and I will be returning to Mr Malek for this procedure to.

Lal not only saved my life (laparoscopically!) he visited me twice a day during recovery, arranged a transfer to my chosen ward, and introduced me to a charming health coordination doctor. Lal is everything one would wish for in a medical professional, a brilliant surgeon, and a really lovely human being. My overall care at St Mary’s was first class and second to none, in which Lal played a key role.

Dr Charlotte Frise is an excellent doctor. Despite the multiple complications I had, she had time for me even when she was off duty. She saw me through until I sailed through. She treats patients like family and it’s heartwarming in difficult times. I begin to tear up when I express how I feel about the care she gave me. Am very impressed and grateful for her services. In a world all consumed with AI and perfection, I can honestly say Mr Fady Sedra outshines AI. 5 Stars for Mr Fady Sedra and the staff at The Cromwell Hospital, after my ACDF surgery I can say Mr Fady Sedra's attention to detail is unmatched. He has an excellent bedside manner and displayed a level of professionalism that is rare to find. Mr Fady Sedra went above and beyond to make sure I was well cared for. The X-Ray of my neck should be in an art gallery as it is truly a work of art by Mr Fady Sedra. I highly recommend for any complex spinal work.

The 12-month or so wait time was out of Ravi’s hands and in fact the timing of the procedure worked well for me in the end due to it being right before the Christmas holidays.
