This is my second knee replacement under Professor Jari at Spire Hospital and I am highly delighted with the result. I had my left knee replaced in 2021 and my right knee replaced in November 2025, both under Professor Jari using the Maco Robotic Surgery technique. I understand Professor Jari has performed many knee replacements using this Maco Robotic Surgery. I have had no issues with healing or infections following my surgery and the recovery is going very well. After just three weeks in recovery I am no longer using crutches for support and my Physio Therapist has signed me off as I have full mobility in my knee. Professor Jari does set a strict exercise programme which in my opinion is the key to full mobility and a quicker recovery time. I would strongly recommend anyone who is thinking of having a Knee replacement to consider the Maco Robotic Surgery under Professor Jari at the Spire Hospital. This surgery is more accurate, less painful and a quicker recovery time. I have friends who have had knee replacements done via a surgeon and they have taken much longer to recover and in some cases suffered issues following their surgery. I can only speak from my own experience but both my knee replacements are perfect. Finally Got Answers! I'm a student in my twenties and had been struggling for ages, suspecting I might have ADHD but not really knowing where to start. From my initial appointment with Mr Hoo, I felt all my questions were answered and felt at ease, from the onset I knew I would choose Mr Hoo as my surgeon. I had done a lot of research for my procedure and felt reassured from my initial appointment. Pauline (Mr Hoo’s nurse) was also very informative and patient regarding any questions which I had. My surgery was booked and due to unforeseen circumstances had to rescheduled, Brenda in appointments was very helpful and offered me a cancellation slot which I was very thankful for. On the day of surgery, I was admitted into the admission pod and here all staff were attentive, I met with the anaesthetist and Mr Hoo and thereafter went to theatre. The theatre nurse and anaesthetist were so lovely, talked me through everything and I felt reassured. Thereafter, in the recovery ward, the nurse was excellent when asked about pain, I was immediately given pain meds which eased the pain and brought upstairs to a room which the excellent care continued. Mr Hoo came to see me and answer any further questions, truly 5* service from the onset. The hospital was spotless and attention to detail by all staff was exceptional.

I had my surgery performed 4 weeks ago, at Spire St Anthony's Hospital, by Mr Ian Hunt. On the afternoon of the surgery date, he went through everything and confirmed a few things. I was extremely nervous and I worked myself up before the surgery. Mr Hunt and his anaesthetist, Dr Dassen Ragavan really reassured me and put me at ease. Mr Hunt is very much needed in this world., he is an absolute treasure. When I was in the recovery room after surgery, he visited my wife and daughter, and let them know that it was successful and everything went well. When I was back in my room, he visited us again and explained what happened. Even though it was a very stressful day for him, he was still smiling. He visited me every day during my stay. I am so grateful to be one of his patients and I await having my left side operated on by him for my slipping rib syndrome. Thank you so, so much.

Mr Awad has been absolutely amazing throughout my mother’s treatment. She’s been seeing him for around 4 months for a lower eyelid growth, which was both invasive and extremely painful. My Mum had the growth removed and eyelid reconstruction on the 18th Dec by Mr Awad and the results are truly fabulous. Vanessa S is the perfect person for her role and puts people at ease immediately. She secured me a hearing test and a consultation appointment on the same day. She also helped me with some of the administrative elements of using my private healthcare as the process has changed since I last used it. Very helpful, friendly, professional and reassuring. Dr. Alex Cappai listened to me and made me feel heard. She was quite friendly, and I felt at ease during the assessment. I was diagnosed with Adult ADHD mixed type in my fifties, which was a bittersweet finding. Dr. Cappai provided me with practical counsel that was extremely beneficial, as well as the time I needed to comprehend my diagnosis. The staff at Diverse Minds Clinic have been really professional and helpful throughout the process, and I would strongly suggest this service.

I spent 3 days at the Royal Free PPU as an in-patient following major surgery and I have nothing but praise for the treatment I recieved from start to finish. My surgery was scheduled speedily, the operation went as well as hoped, and all of the PPU team members who took care of me - Consultants, Doctors, Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and Housekeeping - were professional but at the same time, kind and reassuring. I was really anxious about the surgery and for me, the care that I received as an in-patient, made the whole experience so much less stressful.
