Dr Omar Ahmed was introduced to my case after a planned colonoscopy was performed. There was a complication with an abnormal polyp and he stepped in and took charge of the situation. He had to seek permission to perform the intricate surgery he wanted to perform and then succeed in performing it expertly. Dr Omar Ahmed wants to keep me in his care as a long term patient to ensure that any other abnormalities are dealt with as quickly, swiftly and in my opinion expertly as possible. I have never had this kind of treatment and care from any other doctor or consultant in the past and I can’t express how grateful and thankful I am that Dr Omar Ahmed treated me and wants to continue to treat me. My experience at the McIndoe centre was incredible. Throughout my surgery and stay the entire team were incredibly kind and caring. I was given plenty of reassurance prior to my surgery, everyone involved during my surgery was incredibly professional and the aftercare following my surgery was incredible. All of my nurses were incredibly kind and helpful and made the process so much easier. I had a great private room and bathroom, and the food was also great! Cannot recommend the McIndoe centre enough, they will be my first choice should I have any more procedures in future
