I saw Mr Chahal yesterday after struggling with ankle problems since pregnancy, and more recently suffering two injuries that have caused my ankle to give way without warning. The pain and swelling have become overwhelming, especially from midday into the evening, and I finally knew it was time to seek help. From the moment I met Mr Chahal, I felt completely at ease. He was incredibly kind, calm, and transparent, taking the time to explain his thoughts clearly and compassionately. There was absolutely no pressure to make any decisions, and as someone who struggles with anxiety, this meant more to me than I can put into words. He explained possible causes and treatment options in a way that was reassuring rather than alarming, and I never once felt panicked. Sadly, some consultants can make you feel as though you’re being dramatic or exaggerating your symptoms, but Mr Chahal was the complete opposite. There was no judgement, only understanding, respect, and genuine care. I felt truly listened to, and that alone was incredibly comforting. Mr Chahal is everything you would hope for in a consultant. Calming, honest, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He has a quiet confidence that immediately builds trust, and it’s clear he is an expert in his field. I left my appointment feeling hopeful, supported, and reassured that I am finally in the right hands. Thank you so much, Mr Chahal. Mr Kumaran Thiruppathy

I saw Mr Kumaran Thiruppathy at Circle Reading Hospital in October 2025 for troublesome internal haemorrhoids. He quickly made an accurate diagnosis and clearly explained my condition and the treatment options, including rubber band ligation. I went ahead with banding of my internal haemorrhoids, which was done efficiently and with great care, and he talked me through each step so I knew exactly what was happening. Since then my symptoms have improved a lot, with much less discomfort and bleeding in everyday life. At my follow‑up appointment in January 2026, we mainly reviewed how things had improved after the procedure and discussed ongoing management and prevention. Mr Thiruppathy listened carefully, answered all my questions, and gave clear, practical advice. Overall, I’ve had an excellent experience under his care and feel much more comfortable and reassured now. I would highly recommend Mr Thiruppathy and the team at Circle Reading Hospital to anyone needing assessment and treatment for haemorrhoids.

I received my care at the Spire Regency Hospital in Macclesfield following a unicompartmental knee replacement in November 2025, and the standard of care throughout was excellent. From recovery through to the ward, the post-operative care was consistently compassionate, professional, and attentive. Every member of staff I encountered — from nursing and medical staff to healthcare assistants, physiotherapists, and catering staff — was kind, supportive, and clearly committed to patient wellbeing. Although I didn’t manage to note everyone’s name, those I did were outstanding and a real credit to the hospital. The physiotherapy support was particularly impressive. My post-operative physiotherapist understood exactly how far my knee should be bending at each stage and struck the right balance between encouragement and reassurance. This helped me overcome the understandable mental barriers around pain and guarding, and I was given a clear and structured recovery exercise plan to follow at home.

Dr Nish Shah cared for me throughout my pregnancy from 22 weeks onwards, after I was admitted to hospital with a complication (PPROM). This was one of the most difficult times in my life, as we had to make some extremely hard decisions in a very short space of time in order to achieve the best possible outcome for both me and our baby. Sadly, I went into labour shortly after 22 weeks, and Dr Shah was there to deliver my baby and to manually remove the placenta in theatre. Throughout this incredibly unexpected and traumatic experience, I felt exceptionally well cared for. My recovery has been excellent — the bleeding stopped after just four days and I felt almost back to normal within two weeks. Dr Shah remained calm and provided clear, compassionate and excellent medical advice throughout a very challenging time for us. I would highly recommend him to anyone and will certainly be under his care again for my next pregnancy. Thank you.

Miss Mehra is my consultant and performed my total abdominal hysterectomy. She has done a wonderful job. She is incredibly skilled and her surgical skills are excellent. She kept me informed and despite me delaying the surgery for almost a year, Miss Mehra was very understanding and did not put any pressure on me to do the surgery. She gave me all the information I needed and allowed me time to digest and come to my own informed decision. Miss Mehra made me feel genuinely looked after and was very empathetic, calm and reassuring. Despite my anxiety and nerves about the surgery, I am truly thankful for her profressionalism and kindness throughout the whole process. Miss Mehra has also recommended alternative treatment for my symptoms post surgery and has also offered to see me to ensure continuity of care.

The staff seemed very friendly and efficient in what seemed to be quite a busy little private out patient's department. I had to have quite a few test's and checks but didn't have to wait long in-between different department's. When I got to see the consultant he was very professional and explained to me exactly what my condition was, how it was affecting my vision . He then explained how he proposed to try to correct the problem, the likely time scale for the procedure, and the cost. I also felt that he was very clear to manage my expectations when the procedure does go ahead.

He was excellent in every way. He had a superior knowledge of the issue I was presenting with, did a thorough physical exam and ordered further tests to pinpoint the problem.
