I was referred to Emily by Mr. Minas, my gynaecologist, as I wanted to see whether nutrition could help with my endometriosis and adenomyosis. I have been in pain since my surgery, and I hoped that starting an anti-inflammatory diet might make a difference. From my very first appointment, Emily left a wonderful impression. She is warm, easy to talk to, and made me feel completely comfortable. She listened carefully to all my concerns and provided personalised advice that genuinely felt like magic for me. She recommended a low FODMAP diet and gave me a clear list of foods to enjoy more of and foods to limit. With her guidance, I was able to combine both anti-inflammatory and low FODMAP principles in a way that worked for my lifestyle. She also introduced me to Field Doctor meals, which were incredibly helpful since I don’t always have time to cook. Even though I’ve only seen her three times, the reassurance and knowledge she has given me are invaluable. She answered all my questions, shared helpful recipes, and taught me practical ways to make my meals low FODMAP without feeling restricted. I also appreciate that she encourages balance—letting me enjoy the foods I love occasionally while focusing on better choices overall. It’s only been a couple of weeks since changing my diet, and my pain and bloating has already improved. Emily’s support, expertise, and kindness have truly put me on the right path. I also want to mention Aaron, the Camu Clinic secretary, who has been extremely helpful in managing my appointments and making sure I receive the links for my virtual sessions with Emily. His assistance has made the whole process smooth and stress-free. I’m very grateful for the excellent care and support I’ve received from both Emily and the team.

I was struggling to get a face to face appoinment with my NHS GP. Filling out their triage forms where tick boxes didn’t cover half my symptoms and not enough room in the comments to describe my issues and concerns was getting me nowhere. So I decided to go private. Daleswood was recommended to me by a friend. I was happy to pay for a 30min consultation where I could go through the history and symptoms I was experiencing. Mr. Ellis suggested Holep surgery to my prostate which was very enlarged. He also suggested the operation could help to prevent another infection. I honestly can't speak highly enough of Dr Salooja (and indeed have sung her praises to family and friends a lot). Dr Salooja offers a level of care that I just think is completely exceptional. She is incredibly personable, takes time to engage, listen and explain whatever medical issues are being discussed, in depth. I'm in my mid-40s and believe she has the best interpersonal skills of any healthcare professional I've ever met. I feel in very safe hands with regards to the medical investigations, discussions around treatment and outcomes; Dr Salooja is clearly extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Very grateful to be under her care.

The reception was not particularly efficient. I’d paid for the consultation in advance but asked for payment. I did have to pay for blood tests & waited 25 minutes because the receptionist was unable to transfer the amount from the laptop to the card machine. The dryer in the first floor toilet was broken but no hand towels were provided to dry my hands. It was the same exactly a week earlier. I also received numerous text messages & emails most were repetitive & caused confusion as several arrived the same day. The saving grace was thankfully the clinical staff were friendly & efficient.

The reception staff were very warm and welcoming and brought me a cup of coffee Dr Dickenson was as usual very warm and welcoming.. She fully discussed the way forward and proceeded to inject the requested skin filler on my face By the following day when it had settled I was absolutely delighted with the results . I have visited the Coogan Clinic now for over 3 years since arriving in Eastbourne.. Dr Dickenson is wonderful —highly skilled and experienced and very reassuring .. Sam Wilde did an amazing job on my hip. I had a steroid injection and an extremely gloomy prognosis from the consultant with regard to osteoarthritis. Without Sam I would have gone into a deep depression! Sam talked me through a programme of rest post the steroid injection followed by a slow return to exercise with various adaptations. A year and a half later I am back to exercising 6 times a week with (so far) no issues other than the odd twinge from my hip. I am incredibly grateful and can't rate the treatment I got highly enough.

I had an injury last year on my left calf alongside recurring main in my right foot so wanted to get them checked. Dr Lord effectively assessed my calf, showed a very small tear, and then looked at my feet and told me there’s minor thickening in one of the tendons, which wouldn’t require any intervention but recommended physio for both including some effective stretching. Now I’ve got my report I can give to my physio and monitor it more effectively ACTUALLY knowing what’s wrong.
