After extensive research, my husband and I agreed that Vincenzo Maurino was the best person to perform our lens replacement surgery. We felt comfortable right from the initial consultation and knew we had made the right decision. Andrew was very warm and welcoming and explained everything to us clearly about appointments and payments. Mr Maurino took time to advise us on the best treatment and lenses to suit our individual needs. We were tested thoroughly by Mr Maurino’s excellent team. At no time did we feel under pressure to commit; however, we were so impressed with everything that we were anxious to book our procedures straight away. On the day of our surgeries, we arrived at Moorfields and were greeted by wonderful nurses who took great care of us. Mr Maurino talked us through the process both before and during surgery. Everything was very efficient, quick, and painless. We have no hesitation in recommending Mr Maurino and staff; in fact, we have already passed on Mr Maurino’s details to friends and family who are now looking to book. A massive thank you to the whole team for an excellent service. We are delighted and grateful for the life-changing experience and having 20/20 vision for the first time in our lives.

Nurses and clinicians very friendly and made the experience much more bearable (Dom, Karen, Svetlana and Maria - thank you!) Main issue with my experience was inability to get basic medication required for pain relief post-surgery. Was told my procedure would be finished and we could leave around noon. But my pain medication (codeine and paracetamol, so nothing complicated!) had to be couriered from a local pharmacy. We waited over 4 hours for it to arrive and it never came. In the meantime my numbing had worn off and I was in a lot of pain - my partner had to go and ask the nurses if there was any spare codeine I could have while I waited. We eventually gave up and went home after many hours wasted, and had to pay for a private prescription at a pharmacy near home. Appreciate delay was with pharmacy and nurses did their best to get updates, but this system is not working.

I’m grateful to Mr. Tsepov, Vicky, Nadia, and the full medical team for the care I received across my surgeries. From the first consultation to post-op support, I felt looked after in a steady, consistent way. Mr. Tsepov explained the plan clearly, set realistic expectations, and answered my questions without rushing. His calm and confident manner helped me feel safe, especially during moments where I felt anxious. Vicky, the nurse, was outstanding. She was attentive, warm, and reassuring. She noticed what I needed and acted quickly. That kind of care matters when you feel vulnerable. Nadia, Mr. Tsepov’s PA, was organised and responsive. Communication was clear and quick, and the admin side ran smoothly. That reduced stress at a time when I had limited energy. Thank you to everyone involved. He has a lovely way about him and is very pleasant to talk to and I am delighted to have had that consultation . His secretary Amanda was also incredible and she was lovely and caring and so so efficient and reassuring and she really does care and was so fast with E mails, phone calls and getting information together and she is also such a kind, warm hearted person . I went at 11 weeks for a scan and for a NIPT test. The booking process was excellent, the members on the phone were so helpful and considerate. My appointment with Dr Desi was on time and extremely thorough. She was so compassionate, caring and kind throughout the appointment, explaining everything each step of the way and being extremely thorough through the scan and explaining our NIPT options. It’s the best consulting experience I’ve had throughout my pregnancy. Reception staff were extremely helpful too. I would really recommend LPC to any expecting couples. I noticed the cleanliness of the office and waiting rooms. A very polite gentleman dealt with our car parking charge and wished us well - this was noted too. We were also kept informed of why the appointment was slightly late - this too was most appreciated since others in the waiting room were going ahead of us despite having later appointments. Simple things do make all the difference. Appointment itself was efficient as was the subsequent X-ray test downstairs. All in all - very pleased.

Joshua started by reviewing how I was and I showed him the exercises he'd taught me. Then he asked my opinion on what I felt was important to target next and helped with exercises for that. He also made a video on my phone of an exercise, talking me through it, so I could remember it. Unfortunately I don't live locally so can't access his expertise on a regular basis.
