I’ve been seeing Mr Shilen Patel for around 10 months for ongoing TMJ and lockjaw issues. From the very first appointment, he was kind, approachable, and took the time to really listen. He arranged detailed investigations, including MRI and CT scans, and clearly talked me through all the treatment options — from mouthguards, Botox, and physiotherapy to surgery — so I always felt informed and reassured. After trying several treatments, surgery was recommended and carried out in November. One month on, Mr Patel has continued to check in regularly, offering excellent aftercare and answering any questions I’ve had during recovery. I’ve had a genuinely positive experience and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mr Patel to anyone dealing with TMJ problems!

I arrived at 8.50 for a 9 am appointment. Was taken for a urine test which was irrelevant to why I was there and I never saw any results of. At 9.01 I saw the Dr arriving in the clinic. I was told she had a telephone appointment. At 9.15 I saw a patient leave her consulting room and was eventually seen. Despite having filled out the pre questionaire with my medication Dr Carulli couldn't find it but instead wanted to go through them. But then in her covering letter to my GP missed out significant ones like statins. Dr Carulli listed herself as a specialist in Osteoporosis but didn't seem to know a lot - at one point asking why there were two scores in my DEXA scan (one is the T score one is the z score a WEB MD search can tell you that...).

De Holden has done more than she knows. She has been the first doctor that has listened to me and made me not only feel heard but also like I’m a whole person not a group of symptoms and issues with no end in sight. Dr Holden has a lovely manner about her and actually cares about her patients. The whole process was simple and the best decision I have made. I now need to work on a more in depth action plan to more forward with but know I can go back and get help to more forward if needed. This appointment helped me more than any medication could. It gave me my sense of self and not like I was making it all up. I wholly 100% recommend Dr Holden if you are struggling with joint pain because she cares and that is unfortunate rare today

Dr. Robertson promptly explored the possible causes of my discomfort with the molar,visually and with an X-ray, and established the tooth was infected. He clearly explained the pros and cons of the options of dealing with my infected tooth. I agreed that extraction was the best option and Dr. Robertson quickly and skilfully extracted my tooth. He then adjusted my denture which had been supported by the infected tooth and explained how to stabilise the denture in the new situation and what to consider in the future about adjustments to the denture or its replacement. I am very impressed with Dr. Robertson's expertise and friendly manner.

I had an acute pain in my right leg and had difficulty walking. Having had IDD treatment at Osteopath West before for sciatica I called and was given an appointment later that day. On arrival i was given a thorough examination and it was decided that I most likely had a pulled muscle as well as a nerve issue. I had some deep massage on my back and leg followed by an IDD session. The result today is that the pain is considerably better and i can now walk mush better than before. I am grateful for the prompt appointment and the service I received and would recommend Osteopath West to people in a similar position.

I had been in quite a lot of discomfort and loss of vision in my left eye. Mr Modi explained what had happened following my lens replacement many years previously. I was nervous as I suffer from closed angle glaucoma and have had many visits to hospital due to raised pressures over the years. I worried that my pressures may raise after the laser treatment. Mr Modi explained the procedure and I felt more at ease. He checked on how I was feeling through the procedure. I was amazed that I could see clearly again within a few hours. My pressures didn’t raise and I have recovered well. I am very grateful to Mr Modi.

Professor Allam carried out my sinus surgery and septoplasty. For the entire duration of the treatment he was very clear in setting expectations, what I should expect immediately after surgery and later during my recovery. He remained available either in person or through advice whenever I needed to reach out to him, as is often needed in any unexpected situations after surgery. It was very reassuring to receive his unbiased opinion as part of my recovery. The fact that my recovery went exactly as he predicted and advised reflects the vast experience he has in his field.

My entire experience with Dr Gamble and the staff has always been outstanding. My appointments are greeted with polite and friendly staff and everything is on time. I find Dr Gamble very friendly and easy to discuss my health matters with. He explains everyone very well and I always receive his report very shortly after my visit. It's nice not to have to try and remember the details of our discussions. I definitely that Dr Gamble listens and understands my feelings when we do discuss my health condition. I feel personally attended and not like the "next patient".

However, Dr Kush Joshi instantly knew the underlying cause and recommended an MRI on my lumbar spine. The results showed there was a problem with my lumbar spine and received appropriate treatment followed by a highly recommended physio. My overall experience was excellent, from the reception staff, being taken to the room, the 1:1 pre-operative discussions with Dr Lowe and Dr Barnard, to the nursing staff (continuity of the nursing staff and Daisy's approach and empathy), the theatre team and the post procedure care. I mentioned to Dr Lowe how impressed I was with the communication between the theatre team, which provided a great deal of confidence. I should also mention how well they communicated with me on a 1:1 basis explaining what they were doing.
