I had two visits - a pre-surgical assessment and 3 days later I returned for breast cancer surgery with an overnight stay. I have a few hopefully constructive observations: There was no evidence that any information collected at the pre-op meeting was transferred to the team admitting me for my operation. The inefficiencies of this became laughable at times and is a waste of your precious resources and my time . Eg wanting to repeat mrsa tests and weight/height checks because they hadn’t checked their records from 3 days prior. I was told I couldn’t go down to surgery without a Pregnancy test. I had to be very firm that I had the right to refuse and was made to feel like I was being difficult when the truth was very different. The consultants stepped in to support my position and my right to self advocate. The number of different contact points with junior/assistant nursing staff during my 28hr stay was startling, I lost count. There was no continuity at all which led to more observations that necessary (literally 5mins apart because of a lack of communication) and at other times several hours without any contact at all I twice had to tell staff not to put blood pressure sleeve on the arm that just been operated on as they were clueless regarding the surgery I’d had. It’s a general ward so I accept there are no/fewer specialists (eg for breast cancer) but the lack of interest/knowledge was frustrating and in stark contrast to other private hospital experiences I’ve had during this journey. Minor point but there were no towels or toiletries in the en suite and the shower set up was totally impractical for post surgery washing (as the hand held show was missing). I was offered option to use en suite in another room - staff did their best to find a solution and my husband was able to support me.

He is not only an outstanding surgeon but an exceptional human being, and I cannot thank him enough for the care, precision, and compassion he showed throughout my entire journey. I would also like to express my heartfelt thanks to Janet, Dr Bosh, and all the nursing staff, as well as every member of the team right down to the wonderful ladies on reception, including Marianne. There are too many to name individually, but every single person played a role in making this experience extraordinary. The hospital itself does not feel like a hospital at all — it feels more like a health retreat where you leave as a better version of yourself. The environment, the warmth, and the standard of care are truly exceptional. For anyone suffering from sleep apnea, as I was, or dealing with any of the conditions treated by your specialists, I could not recommend HSSH and Mr Luke Cascarini more highly. Very chaotic administration after the initial consultation (errors and delays in invoicing, typos in the written opinion and delays in providing price information for surgery). I felt that the staff couldn't be bothered to get things moving and I had to keep chasing them. The package price quoted on the website for cataract surgery also turned out to be very misleading because the consultant wanted to charge an extra fee for fitting a toric lens, in addition to the extra cost of the lens itself. This pushed up the cost considerably. This extra, hidden, consultant's fee had not been made clear on the website and I felt that I had been induced into paying for a consultation on the back of misleading information about the cost of the surgery. The consultant may well have been an excellent surgeon (I don't know because I chose not to proceed) but these issues made me very uncomfortable and led me to lose complete confidence in the hospital. Going to Moorfields Private was a complete waste of time and money and the hospital ought to refund the consultation fee.

Very professional experienced physio. Nahor set clear goals from a holistic standpoint - focusing on regaining confidence, reducing pain and improving movement & feeling in the foot. He gave thorough explanations with many variations and tailored each session to address any concerns from the previous week. When I began physio with Nahor I had no movement in my toe and severe swelling in my foot as a result of starting physio 4 weeks later than recommended post bunion op. At this point I did not believe I would be able to get back to my previous active lifestyle. 6 weeks later I am back to regained movement and am back to gym, yoga and almost able to perform a lunge. Throughout the process Nahor created a calm, motivating environment which helped me progress further than I imagined.

Miriam is an absolute legend. I went to GP to check on my pelvic floor health after birth, unfortunately, they would not give you a full assessment about potential prolapse problems, they advised me to do pelvic floor exercises religiously right after few weeks of birth- which was the worse advice as it has caused tension around my pelvic floor area. then I went to Miriam, she provided me with 360 check up and told me the reason behind my issues and has given me clear advice on what to do next until our next appointment. If you are also experiencing the same, absolutely pay her a visit.

Miss Lobo has been nothing short of exceptional with me, every step of the way, during the most challenging time in my life. She made sure I got the full diagnosis incredibly quickly, referred me to the best oncologist immediately so I could get my treatment plan, reassuring me I was in the best hands. Post chemotherapy she then operated on me, and the result - aesthetically as well - is simply outstanding. She is both a consummate professional and a very caring person - anyone under her care is lucky.

The doctor was really rude and unprofessional about other members of staff to me. He also didn't check that I'd received appropriate amount of anaesthetic before doing the procedure leaving me in an unacceptable amount of pain for which he didn't apologise or check to see if I was ok. He also tried to do the procedure on the wrong eye and after checking the eye he could see where I'd had a previous procedure and said, "At least I can see you're not lying". I do not want this awful man near me ever again.

I would highly recommend this doctor.

Just needed a referral for an overseas routine scan and I achieved what I needed. NHS in their wisdom won't provide scans for those with a strong family history indicator which is fine but utterly absurd not to provide a referral just because a CT machine (superior to most in the UK) is located overseas. These scans can be life savers and it's useful that this provider can fulfil the common sense role that the NHS abdicates responsibility on.

When I was ready to be seen, I was greeted by Dr Michael Smith. His friendly and welcoming nature instantly put me at ease, even though I was already feeling anxious. Was a little confused and concerned with all the last minute changes for surgery, then to be told and left waiting in a room for surgery to then say ur appointment was not the appointment time when u came in on our computer so they did change my appointment time! Other than that surgeon was fantastic brilliant and friendly After Care - as given a bag of meds and a latter and cards for the doctor with no sore dressings for wound area.

Dr Aslam did Mohs surgery on my nose and I could not be more happier with the result. From the moment I first met him I knew he would do an amazing job. My local nurse removed the sutures and even she commented on how fabulous his stitching was. She told me it was the neatest she had ever seen. Now you cannot even see the scar. I am very happy and would not for a moment hesitate to recommend him for Mohs surgery. He is simply the best.
