had a right knee replacement with Mr. Sam Rajaratnam just over two weeks ago on 3rd November 2025, and what I had feared would be a difficult and painful operation turned out to be completely painless. Sam is extremely kind, patient and reassuring — perfect for someone as nervous as I was. I had delayed doing this surgery for a year and a half and even cancelled the operation twice before finally going through with it! Mr. Rajaratnam has built an outstanding team, including an exceptionally experienced anaesthetist, Dr. Barry Philips; a kind and highly competent nurse consultant, Ms. Christine Howis; and an excellent senior physiotherapist, Felicitas Gatti, who visits me at home to guide my post-operative exercises. I was also extremely impressed by all the medical staff at the Cleveland Clinic hospital, who provided exceptional care throughout my stay. Whilst at the Cleveland, Sam visited me daily, and even came in today after my staples were removed to check on my progress. Mr. Rajaratnam’s expertise is evident—he has performed over 7,000 knee replacements—and the level of care and support I received was extraordinary. I was expecting a significant increase in pain once the stronger medication stopped a week after surgery, but to my surprise, I remained completely pain-free. I am extremely grateful to Sam and his wonderful team. I’ll be back for my other knee as soon as I’m up and running again!

I am a very active 51 year old man and Mr Atkinson fixed my medial meniscus tear which had been obstructing movement in my leg. After 8 weeks I am back swimming, practicing Yoga 5 times a week (all poses including deep squats and child pose) and I also started kick boxing again. I will be training jiu jitsu again in a week's time. I also climbed the stairs at Highgate tube station this week - all 100 of them - without any pain or locking. I had a very good experience with Mr Atkinson. From initial to final consultation I was very happy with the care given to me. In fact my girlfriend who is also a doctor was very impressed by Mr Atkinson's knowledge on a variety of questions she asked. He was very accommodating of her as well allowing her to talk to him on the phone and with me in my final consultation. I want to thank Mr Atkinson for putting me forward for this care, without this I would be struggling with my physical activities and now I have a new lease of life. Thank you so much.

I was at St Josephs for a repair to the rotator cuff of my right shoulder. Admission was at 11:00 hrs and I was shown to a private room with ensuite bathroom, bed, easy chair and TV with Internet and Sky access. A nurse took a set of observations and both the surgeon and anaesthetist came in to discuss my surgery and confirm my consent. At 12:00 I walked in gown and slippers to the operating theatre and once on the operating table I was connected to various monitors. A pre med drug was injected via a canula on the back of my right hand. At 13:00hrs I woke up in the recovery room with the operation complete. After a short while my bed was wheeled back to my room. Further sets of observations were taken and later I was given my choice of post op snack and coffee. A physio came to see me and gave me a sheet of recommended exercises. At 19:00 my daughter arrived to take me home. I was happy with all aspects of the day.

Excellent. I am currently undergoing IVF treatment with Professor Yacoub Khalaf at Guys Hospital in London. A few days ago Prof. Khalaf successfully collected 3 eggs, which I am very happy about. So far I am very impressed and completely satisfied with the high quality of medical care at the IVF clinic at Guys Hospital directed by Prof. Khalif. Previously I have undergone IVF treatments at one NHS and two private clinics in London, and I can confidently say that the integrity, honesty and personal care I have received from Prof Khalaf is exceptional, and well beyond that of the other clinics. The staff is well trained, and the process has been very efficient and easy. Unlike the other clinics they have not prescribed unnecessary medication or unnecessary scans. As a result the experience at Guys has been less emotionally and physically intrusive. My husband and I can recommend Prof Khalaf very highly.

Mr Chilcott is calm, gentle and an excellent surgeon. I am 2 weeks post op (full abdominal hysterectomy, removal of fibroids and oophorectomy). He explained the surgery in full in the initial consultation and worked together with the hospital to ensure i had all the necessary information needed in the lead up to the operation and discussed what would be needed post operation (HRT, blood thinners for an existing blood condition) to ensure i got back to full health. Operation day was a success and I'm left with a very neat scar. He came to visit me daily as I recovered in hospital and was accessible for any question (via the nurses or his wonderful PA, Paula) at any time. He's kind, flexible and very helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

I had a shoulder injury and having worked with KT before I knew that I needed to see her before it got any worse! After the initial consultation KT diagnosed it as bursitis. She gave me different exercises to help with the range of shoulder movement. KT liaised with my PT so that he was clear about what exercises I should be avoiding for the time being in the PT sessions. KT really clearly explained what the exercises would be helping with and why I should be doing them. After about 5 sessions, with progressive exercises over the sessions, my shoulder feels SO much better. KT is really encouraging and motivating. Her knowledge and manner are exemplary!

Dr Milestone could not have been more helpful or supportive during my recent time as his patient. I had been experiencing symptoms which had been unexplained for months, and which had led to a lot of anxiety for me. He was very kind, very clear in his explanations, and arranged the investigations I required with efficiency and speed. His department is known within the hospital for its quality and I found this absolutely to be my experience in practice. I am very grateful to him for his help. I was delighted by Cardiff Gate. I had a PSA blood panel. I would be HUGELY delighted if you would consider the following: Blood tests at Sancta in Swansea could gather blood work across greater Swansea Bay. As a suggestion to you, please consider offering that on ONE of your 2 visits per week to Sancta. say, offer morning bloods? Then charge clients a small extra fee to cover a courier to run them all back to Cardiff at midday. You don't really offer such a Bloods service ain Swansea at the moment and it would cover its costs and bring in regular business.

The staff were absolutely brilliant. So very friendly whilst remaining professional. My appointment was for 11.30 and whilst I accept there is always some waiting time I didn't expect 2 hours. I had another doctor appointment for 2.20 and I was beginning to panic that I would not be ablecto attend. My other complaint,along with several other patients was how very cold the rooms were We were sat in our winter coats and still feeling the cold. Paul, a staff member did eventually turn the heating on/up.

My hip operation was successful and carried out by Mr Edward Gardner. His professionalism in he listening and explaining about the operation. After the operation Mr Gardner used a vacuum pump on my scar to heal / seal and keep the wound clean; this has worked really well. My scar has closed cleanly. I now feel more confident in my mobility and I have no worries in returning to have the other hip replaced in the future by Mr Gardner.

Took the time to fully understand and wouod totally recommend.

Mr Sweeney was fantastic. Very reassuring and clearly very knowledgable in his area. I did however find that there were some mixed messages between initial consultation to feedback from nurses etc after surgery in terms of aftercare etc. (Told I would wear compression stockings for two weeks and then told I didn’t need to wear at all. Told could drive the next day but then told I couldn’t drive for 5 etc).
