Mr Tev Aho ; HoLeP Review ;October 2025 I was introduced to Mr Aho in October 2025 after my BPH prostate issue of 15 years became troublesome in a matter of weeks; I attended my local A&E as I could not empty my bladder due to something happening in my prostate, resulting in my being catheterised for 7 weeks; My prostate was given an MRI by the NHS, that showed an anomaly , and i was informed i should consider losing my prostate, as Surgery was my only option; I was 66 yrs of age at the time of the surgery; I spoke with Mr Aho, who is an absolute gentleman, with a fantastic bedside manner; He listened to my situation, explained very clearly what a HoLeP would involve, and we agreed to proceed; The procedure took place in London just 12 days after my discussion with Mr Aho, and all went well; I was discharged the next day, in my case with a catheter after my 2 months with one, and this was removed after 6 days; Once removed, i had no issues and found that i now had a high pressure ‘firehose’ when i urinated; I experienced no leaks, incontinence , ‘accidents’ etc, and only a mild tingling sensation where the equipment had been inserted for the procedure , that passed after a few weeks; After the catheter was removed, life returned to normal instantly; This is far better than the other surgery options, that can have ongoing issues , and I can’t thank Mr Aho enough for his skills and accepting me as his patient; The alternatives open to me were to horrific to consider; If you are considering this procedure , In my opinion, its by far the best option, and from a patient point of view, simple, quick, home in 2 days, and life gets back to normal fast; Mr Aho is without doubt a Godsend, of whom i have no hesitation in recommending .

I consulted Dr Alkholany after living with severe lower back and bilateral leg pain for nearly 20 years. Over that time I had seen multiple specialists and undergone previous procedures, yet I continued to struggle significantly with daily function and quality of life. From the very first consultation, Dr Alkholany approached my case with exceptional thoroughness and clarity. He listened carefully, reviewed my long history in detail, and provided clear clinical structure and validation to symptoms that I had understood myself for many years. His explanation of possible cluneal nerve involvement and long-term sensitisation felt thoughtful, logical and grounded in experience. What stood out most was his honesty and balance. He did not over-promise outcomes and was transparent about both the potential benefits and limitations of treatment. I felt respected, taken seriously and treated as an individual rather than simply another chronic pain case. Following the bilateral cluneal nerve hydrodissection, I have experienced meaningful improvement. My baseline pain has reduced, my sleep posture has changed significantly (I am no longer waking with my body tensed and elevated in the way I had for years), and I feel more rested with better overall energy. After two decades of persistent symptoms, even these early changes feel significant. For the first time in many years, I feel genuine hope that progress is possible and that the correct anatomical target may have been identified. I am sincerely grateful for Dr Alkholany’s expertise, professionalism and compassionate approach, and I would highly recommend him to anyone dealing with complex or longstanding pain.

We recently saw Dr Paraskevi Theocharis regarding my son’s chest pain, and I cannot speak highly enough of the care we received. From the moment we arrived, she was efficient, thorough and incredibly approachable. Most importantly, she was kind. My son was understandably anxious, but she immediately put him at ease with her calm manner and clear explanations. She took the time to speak directly to him, not just about him, which made a real difference. Her assessment was comprehensive and reassuring. She explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, without ever making us feel rushed. What truly stood out was that she went above and beyond after the appointment. She personally called the next day — on a Saturday — with his results, which gave us enormous peace of mind. She also made it clear that I could message her if we had any further concerns, which shows genuine care and professionalism. As a parent, having a doctor who combines clinical expertise with warmth and responsiveness is invaluable. We are extremely grateful for her support and would highly recommend her.

Dr Syed Asad Hussain

Dr Syed Asad Hussain is a pleasure to have as my consultant. He listened intently to all that I was telling him from the very beginning in regard to my symptoms and other background medical aspects that were ongoing. He then explained what course of action was required and this was arranged very quickly. He also liaised with 2 other consultants in different departments in order to narrow down a possible diagnosis. The blood tests and other tests organised assisted greatly in me receiving a diagnosis and clarity as to why I had been so poorly. I found Dr Syed Asad Hussain very personable, polite and empathetic which means a lot to someone who has felt frustration with awful symptoms for months with no real answers from my GP. I felt there was light at the end of a very dark tunnel and I am very grateful that he explained aspects in great detail and I never felt rushed during my appointments with him. Exceptional service received and I would certainly recommend him to others.

Mr Farid truly went above and beyond for me. After being diagnosed with cholecystitis in December and spending a week in hospital, I was eager to seek quick help. Shahid came highly recommended to me - and I’m so glad he did! From the first consultation, it was clear that he was on the ball and was able to fit me in for surgery faster than I’d hoped. My initial hospital experience in December had left me a little shaken, but with Mr Farid I finally felt like I was in safe hands. My operation ended up being a little more tricky than anticipated (or so I’m told!), which makes me even more thankful that I went with a good surgeon. The experience at Spire Hospital Leeds was also top notch, with absolutely wonderful staff (and a great lunch menu!). Mr Farid checked in on me frequently on recovery, which was highly appreciated. I am now recovering well at home.

recently had an umbilical hernia operation performed by Mr John Saunders, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the care I received. From the initial consultation through to the surgery and aftercare, Mr Saunders was professional, reassuring, and clear in explaining everything. He took the time to answer my questions and made me feel completely at ease about the procedure. The operation went smoothly, and my recovery has been excellent. The wound has healed very well, and I’ve had minimal discomfort, which is a real credit to his skill and experience. I’d also like to mention the wider team, who were kind and supportive throughout. Overall, I’m extremely grateful for the treatment I received and would highly recommend Mr Saunders to anyone needing similar surgery.

I cannot rate the hospital highly enough following my recent operation. From the moment I arrived I was looked after by a number of staff members, all of who could not do enough to ensure I was comfortable, informed and had everything I needed. In particular nurses Damian, Sonia, Cindy and Salmon were wonderful, also the catering lady who's name i didn't catch, Steve the pharmacist, Mr Murray the anesthetist, and Mr Lewis the surgeon. All the staff were very friendly and relaxed which helped me settle in a situation I could have felt very uncomfortable and nervous in. Even though this procedure was covered by insurance I would not hesitate to self pay in the future if needed to have this level of care again.

It was a serious situation, and I truly believe his swift, decisive care made all the difference. He performed my surgery himself, and throughout the process I felt completely confident I was in the best possible hands. I went to the clinic for egg freezing procedure. From the beginning everyone in the clinic was kind and responsive. My medical coordinator Karin, she was amazing, always very kind, and responsive. If you don’t speak Spanish, you don’t need to worry Karin speaks English perfectly as well as Dr Voskuilen. Dr Voskuilen is an amazing professional, she is kind and she made sure to explain everything very well to me. Dr Voskuilen made sure the dose of hormones was best suitable for me and I had regular scans to check the progress of the eggs. The procedure went really well without any complications. I am glad I chose Reproclinic.

I think Dr Perry is outstanding. He has been my neurologist for nine years.
