Mr Leach was absolutely fantastic from the moment I stepped into his office. After months of suffering and multiple GP and hospital visits, I’d become increasingly worried as severe neurological pain set in and my mobility rapidly deteriorated. Following my MRI, John immediately recognised the seriousness of my disc herniation and the level of pain I was experiencing. For the first time, I felt truly heard and understood. Within two days of our consultation, I underwent urgent surgery for a severe far-lateral herniated disc. The operation went extremely well, and John explained that the herniation was beyond the point of rehabilitation. The disc was severely compressing my L4/L5 nerve, causing significant muscle wastage and neurological pain that was difficult to control, despite the strong pain relief I was taking daily. After surgery, John set realistic expectations for my recovery — and it’s worth noting that I was wheeled into hospital, but I walked out the very next day. I’m pleased to say that, ten weeks on, I completed my first four-mile hike without any significant discomfort. I still have some nerve pain and numbness, but my mobility has improved dramatically.

What an amazing experience! From the moment I got to clinic, everyone was so welcoming. I was anxious as I'd had a couple of awkward and uncomfortable experiences with a nurse and GP prior to this appointment. But, the appointment it's self with Mr Treharne was so good! He explained the procedure clearly and had a good sense of humour. Him and the nurse prepped me and talked me through what was happening. They were both chatty, calm and good energy. This really was unlike any experience I'd had before. Also, during the scan, Dr Treharne noticed something unusual (but normal) and talked me through the findings. I really can't thank him, the nurse and the reception team enough. Also want to thank the lady that I initially booked the appointment with, she was attentive, answered additional nervous questions I had and they were able to give me a quick appointment (for which, I'll say was very reasonably cost too!) Thanks again for all of your help. I would 100% go back to Mr Treharne for anything related to this (or anything else TBH!) Diolch

After a year of back and forward to various different hospitals and appointments and symptoms being ignored, I finally and thankfully was seen by Mr Jacob. He was very professional, friendly and most importantly saw and heard my concerns. I got answers and was booked in for surgery. I had a very enlarged thyroid with numerous nodules that had previously been missed by other consultants and my symptoms absolutely debilitating. During surgery Mr Jacob found my thyroid had also grown around the back of neck so took a little longer. I felt great after my surgery, Mr Jacob came to see me the next morning and I was kept in updated of what was going to happen throughout and after the surgery. I had no questions unanswered and felt very cared for. Im extremely grateful that Mr Jacob was my surgeon and would highly recommend him. My scar is barely noticeable only two months later and my healing was fairly easy - thanks to Mr Jacob my procedure was a great success!

My almost 3 year old child recently saw Mr Hartley for adenoidtonsilectomy and grommets. The whole experience was brilliant, he reassured me and her through the entire process. He was extremely understanding of my concerns and addressed all thoroughly. Her recovery was amazing and he saw her as an emergency when she had a suspected ear infection without question. It was extremely easy to get an appointment with him and surgery was booked for the following week. I cannot recommend Mr Hartley more, in fact he is doing my other child’s procedure in a couple of weeks which was initially booked with another consultant but moved to Mr Hartley as I trust him and his team with my children’s lives. I wouldn’t want to see anyone else. And as a bonus, his Secretary Angela is amazing, she’s so helpful, knowledgeable and understanding, they all made an incredibly stressful, emotional experience a calm and positive one.

I arrived circa 15min before my appointment time as requested and was greeted courteously by the reception staff before being lead to an examination room to undergo a basic check of my eyesight and health check/questionnaire. On retuning to the waiting area I was almost immediately greeted by Mr Bhargava. The consolation was just 5min after the appointment time, which is excellent. The consultation was thorough and very professional, Mr Bhargava has a very good manner and following questioning and examination explained all the parameters relevant to my condition. Mr Bhargava then went on to detail treatment and advice in a concise but detailed way covering all aspects very well. I left feeling that the visit was well worthwhile and that I had been treated well in all aspects of the consolation. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Bhargava to friends and colleagues.

I can’t recommend Dr Emily Cary highly enough. She has been absolutely amazing in supporting me through the early stages of perimenopause. She took the time to tailor my care to me as an individual, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. All staff, from reception to nurses and surgeons, I found to be friendly, courteous, helpful and professional. I was generally rather nervous about the whole process, this being the very first time I experienced any form of surgery or a stay in hospital. However, I was treated with the utmost respect and understanding and felt well advised at all times, allowing me to make informed decisions at my own pace, without being pressured. I had to wait a bit longer than I had anticipated for surgery but by comparison to the NHS, it was efficient and slick. It is early days to comment properly on my shoulder replacement but things are progressing well although slowly and I am hopeful for the future.

The advice I received aligned with my own independent analysis using AI tools, particularly ChatGPT, which further reinforced my confidence in both the diagnosis and the prescribed treatment plan. Dr Chopra also addressed additional concerns beyond the initial reason for my visit, offering a broader treatment approach, which I appreciated. While I understand that diagnosing multiple issues within a half-hour appointment is challenging, the consultation was helpful and provided the reassurance and confidence boost I was looking for.

Mr Radley was the 5th consultant I saw regarding my operation and it was well worth the search. Mr Radley performed my operation with Robotic-assisted surgery enabling me to make a much faster recovery (weeks) all the other consultants wanted to perform open surgery which would have meant months of painful convalescence. Mr Radley beside manner was second to none as he ensured he visited me everyday after the operation to check on my progress. Simon personality and humility is very welcoming to the point your feel like friends and someone you can trust. I cannot thank Simon enough to enable me to recover so fast after major surgery.

I had a great experience at Cyprus ivf hospital. Aman was our coordinator and she was immediately responding to all our worries and questions. It is a clean and well equipped clinic. The prices were fixed and no extra expenses were placed. They let you now about the price from the beginning and you now as the procedure goes on, when and how much you have to pay. Transfer of the embryos took place only when the doctor was sure everything was ready. No rushing. They followed the correct protocol for my case and were always there for us any day any time! The room was well equipped and the food was good, with every need catered for. Special thanks for making allowances and letting me stay until late in my room on day of discharge. I would definitely recommend this hospital for an overall positive experience.

Mr Unnithan replaced my right hip in November at Ashford Hospital. The operation and the care given by the staff at Ashford was first rate and as a result, my recovery has been faster than I'd expected. The only problem has been an injury to my right foot and ankle sustained somehow during my time in hospital, which may now limit the pace of my recovery. Mr Unnithan has provided kind and clear support and advice on how to approach rehabilitation physio and a return to sport.
