During my recent experience at Cleveland Clinic London, I was under the care of Professor James Teo and Dr. Dipesh Patel for my diagnosis of myelitis. I’d like to share a review of the care, diagnosis, and treatment I received during my short inpatient stay and subsequent outpatient follow-up. Diagnosis: The professionalism and expertise of both Professor Teo and Dr. Patel were evident. They took the time to thoroughly review my medical history, listen attentively to my symptoms, and conduct a series of comprehensive tests. The diagnostic process was meticulous, involving advanced imaging and laboratory analyses, all explained clearly, which left me feeling confident about my care. I was admitted as an inpatient for a couple of days, and my stay was exceptionally comfortable and reassuring. The modern hospital environment and top-notch facilities contributed to a positive experience. The nursing staff was attentive and highly trained, providing outstanding care around the clock. I appreciated their responsiveness to my needs, ensuring I felt comfortable during my brief stay. Daily visits from Professor Teo and Dr. Patel allowed me to discuss my progress and any concerns I had, reinforcing my sense of being valued and cared for. Following my inpatient stay I transitioned smoothly into outpatient care. My follow-up appointments have been invaluable, with thorough evaluations of my ongoing recovery. The clinic’s proactive communication, including test results, appointment reminders and prompt responses to my queries, has greatly supported my journey. They also provided me with educational resources to help manage my condition effectively. In conclusion, my experience at Cleveland Clinic London, particularly under the care of Professor Teo and Dr. Patel, has been exemplary. Their dedication to providing personalized and compassionate care, paired with their expertise, has made a significant difference in my ongoing recovery journey. I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to Dr James Noake at Pure Sports Medicine for his ongoing efforts in diagnosing a long-standing misdiagnosed knee injury following several unsuccessful procedures. Dr Noake identified relevant pathology on imaging that, unfortunately, had been missed by several other private consultants elsewhere. He then carefully administered a diagnostic injection, taking considerable time to ensure pinpoint precision through a cyst and a very small joint space. Dr Noake is clearly a very busy and sought-after clinician, yet he ensured I received an extensive first face-to-face consultation, with ample time in clinic to explore the problem thoroughly using ultrasound. He also went above and beyond by reviewing both previous and updated MRI scans, speaking to me at short notice via Zoom call during the festive period in order to review images and discuss options. I found this attention to detail and direct liaison to be exceptional as more than once I have had to wait 6-weeks between appointments at other private clinics or hospitals. Dr Noake is clearly dedicated to his craft and approaches his work with diligence, precision, and honesty. From the first point of contact, he inspired confidence through his willingness to answer questions, think critically beyond the obvious, and work collaboratively to reach informed decisions. I would highly recommend Dr Noake to anyone seeking help with complex, long-standing, or less common knee or nerve-related injuries.

I have been under the care of Dr Alistair Ring since September 2024, and from my very first visit to The Royal Marsden, I knew I had made the right decision to begin chemotherapy there. During our initial consultation, Dr Ring immediately put me at ease, even though I had just received a difficult test result minutes before our meeting. He took the time to explain the Oncotype test for example and the treatment options available, making it clear that every step of my care would be centred around me. Dr Ring’s attention to detail and his encouragement to ask questions gave me great confidence and helped me feel empowered throughout my treatment. Following chemotherapy, I began medication that induced menopause, and thanks to his early guidance on potential side effects and how to manage them, I felt fully prepared. I also appreciate that he has been open to ongoing conversations about my treatment, including exploring HRT options, this openness means a great deal. The clinical staff at The Royal Marsden have been exceptional. They have consistently provided compassionate, professional care, and I genuinely look forward to seeing them at each follow-up. They remember small details and speak to me as a person, not just a patient, which makes every visit a positive experience. I cannot recommend Dr Ring and The Royal Marsden highly enough. I am deeply grateful for the outstanding care and support I have received and continue to receive from the entire team.

We have had an excellent experience with Dr Zeeshan, he has been very caring towards my daughter’s eczema care. Very through with tests and fast response to results. My daughter had very a very emotional journey with her eczema on her hand which caused her lots of anxiety going out. Family and friends constantly asking her about her hand. With two appointments with dr Zeeshan and some skin test his was able to subscribe her ointments that had helped clear her hand and she has become a happier person which means the world to us. As she suffered this for four years with her GP not really achieving any cure witch steroids. Everything was appreciated. the only thing noticed was the main front desk receptionist as you check-in and indeed who checked me in before my appointment, which was at 12:45pm. She seemed over-worked and was not very welcoming, yet it was before lunch. The reception staff are the first point of contact for anyone and need to maintain a happier face (regardless of their own issues) and use far more entertaining approach or greeting language. My contact with this lady was not even 1-minute and this was not even fulfilled. This is compared to many places I have came across including hospital staff e.g MIR or my local GP including anywhere where you deal with the general public. Her approach was out of the ordinary and it was more like she was facing issues, no thanks expressed. Only formal questions asked in a rush so I can be marked in quickly and that's it.

The Royal Free London Private Patients Unit

Needed a routine hernia operation, didn't want to wait 4–6 months, chose Royal Free Private Patients based on surgeon's online profile and because profits go to NHS; also I have been an NHS patient at RF. Was seen quickly for initial consultation and got surgery appointment when I wanted it. Mr Iype did a tidy job of the surgery, I am now recuperating with no complications so far and very little pain. Anaesthetists were friendly and efficient, and Severo my nurse in my ward was helpful, reassuring and friendly. I had a ward room to myself, which my wife could stay in while I had the surgery. It was clean and roomy, though a little cold – take extra blankets. The lunch I was given after surgery was pretty good, and they were able to get a sandwich for my wife too as well as teas and coffees. All in all, went very well.

I met Dr Elumalai first at Addenbrookes where he was reviewing all the tests and scans I had received there. He advised that if I had medical insurance he would recommend Genesis Care where the radiotherapy treatment could be carried out immediately rather than wait several months in the NHS queue. Other benefits were the insertion of a spacer gel to protect the rectum and minimise side effects. Also Genesis could provide the latest hormone treatment tablet, Abiraterone, which was not yet available on the NHS. At follow up meetings at Genesis, Newmarket, Dr Elumalai had all the test and treatment details available on his computer and could answer all my questions. He has provided reassurance regarding the long term effectiveness of the treatment and at the last meeting confirmed that my cancer was now in remission.

I hadn’t seen Sharmina for around 12 months but she was brilliant as always.Before seeing her,she made sure detailed checks and scans were done on both my eyes.Following this she spent a lot of time looking at my eyes and in simple language telling me how things were..I was nervous at the beginning of my cataract lense replacement journey but Sharmina has,through per patience and skill,put me at ease.My journey is now over but I can’t thank Sharmina enough.If you are considering cataract surgery she is definitely the surgeon for you
