From the moment I arrived, the staff were absolutely lovely, welcoming, and professional, which instantly put me at ease. The whole appointment felt calm and well organised, with no rushing at all. Dr Owen Weeks was fantastic — very kind, reassuring, and took the time to listen properly. He explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made me feel genuinely comfortable and cared for. It was such a refreshing experience compared to feeling rushed elsewhere. Overall, it was a great doctor’s appointment and well worth going private. I left feeling reassured and confident, and I would highly recommend this service to anyone considering it. My PSA had been creeping up for several years. By December 2024 it was 6.2 and a scan showed a tumour close to the edge of my prostate. Marc Laniado recommended a day case procedure (nanoknife) and I had this in January 2025. Twelve months later, in January 2026, my PSA is 0.3 and a scan shows no evidence of cancer. Marc is one of the most professional people I have met - everything is explained patiently and thoroughly, he is available at short notice to talk through any concerns/answer any questions, appointments are on time and his follow-up letters come the same day and clearly explain what he has done and the next steps. I would like to thank Marc Laniado and the highly efficient team he works with for the outstanding care I received - anyone of any age (I'm 82) concerned about their prostate would benefit from a​ consultation with him.

Mr Dheerendra could not have been more professional, appropriately friendly and always explained everything so I could understand what he was going to do .He was exceptionally helpful in securing a hospital place where I would be accepted for the operation I needed. (Other medical conditions had made this a difficulty in the hospital of my first choice.) He was an excellent surgeon, my recovery has been very good, he took extra time to make 3 additional visits when I was in hospital to ensure that the wound was healing properly. He was very good at listening to me, both in terms of my current problems and in terms of my expectations for recovery. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone, both for his skills as a surgeon and for his ability to communicate with his patient

I was treated extremely kindly and it made such a difference. Everyone who works there deserves a massive thank you. I didn’t feel judged, not once. Respectful, polite and friendly and very, very prepared. I felt that I was in safe hands and I really appreciated all the security protocols. My only suggestion to make things even better, would be to have an indoor waiting area available for clients who are asked to arrive at 7am. It was not much fun waiting in the dark, in the rain, in the cold to be let in for 20 odd minutes. But as soon as that hurdle was overcome, everything went so well and a lot of that was because of the efforts of the team. They’re great. I really loved my sandwich too!

My operation was 3.5 months ago, my check up appointment was supposed to be 4-6 weeks after. This got postponed 4/5 times due to apparent emergency surgery that was known a week in advance each time. I rang and spoke to the surgeons secretary when it was postponed again and I couldnt make the new date due to work, it kept getting postponed and explained I was having problems ( wound opening multiple times and infection ) I was told to leave work, I explained i couldn't due to my job and working away on that date over two weeks, she said we'll if you don't want the new date then don't have it. She was very rude and tone was awful.

Mr Challand was amazing from start to finish, he made me feel so at ease in a subject that is so personal to myself. Mr Challand thoroughly explained all treatment options in a professional manner yet in layman’s terms so that I understood fully what treatment operations are available and the full extent of my condition. The appointment was not rushed and Mr Challand answered all my questions at a high level and has made me feel so at ease.

I read the reviews about Mr Langdon before I saw him and a couple said his manner wasn’t great. I feel it’s good to check these things as we have the information available. I felt he was friendly and explained everything carefully. I took my husband as I was on painkillers and my mind isn’t as sharp as I’d like. He listened more carefully and agreed with me. I would highly recommend him, he doesn’t waste any time. He gives you the relevant facts, gives you the options and you feel that you can make an informed decision.

Transfered to Clarytin after disappointing time with NHS awaiting time for appointment for cataract removal. Very pleased with Clarity who saw me very shortly after referral and operated on a week later. I was going to wait for the next operation on the NHS on the 4th February but when that was moved to sometime in April, I took the next available appt on January 20th for a private operation. Both private experiences have been a pleasure and very good.

Spire Harpenden Hospital

The only area for improvement is the check-in process - quite often there is a queue of people waiting at reception and the vehicle registration screen is separate to the check-in form, which isn't very efficient. The waiting area and exam rooms are clean and tidy, the staff is friendly and helpful. I prefer coming here despite it being a longer drive than my nearest private hospital because of the great experience I've had previously.

Consultation with Dr Alice Thomas. Parking was easy Welcomed by lovely receptionist who immediately offered me a tea Met Dr Alice who immediately felt 'and relax'! Instant reassuring and lovely energy. Thoroughly talked through blood results. No rushing. We had time and I felt more me walking out of the practice than I had for weeks for speaking to someone who listened and clearly understands what we all go through with our hormones.

Everything was good but the house keeper was rude . when i came to the building i don’t know which button to press and there was board (if you have any issue you can contact house keeper . I press that button and i told him i have medical appointment he was like do you appointment with me ,he was so rude . He could simply say that press number 15 thats it . But my experience with doctors and other staff was excellent.

Following my symptoms, he arranged for an injection to be given immediately to help relieve my pain, making the time to do this on the same day so I didn’t need to return on another occasion, and organising everything in a way that was convenient for me.
