His explanation of possible cluneal nerve involvement and long-term sensitisation felt thoughtful, logical and grounded in experience. What stood out most was his honesty and balance. He did not over-promise outcomes and was transparent about both the potential benefits and limitations of treatment. I felt respected, taken seriously and treated as an individual rather than simply another chronic pain case. Following the bilateral cluneal nerve hydrodissection, I have experienced meaningful improvement. My baseline pain has reduced, my sleep posture has changed significantly (I am no longer waking with my body tensed and elevated in the way I had for years), and I feel more rested with better overall energy. After two decades of persistent symptoms, even these early changes feel significant. For the first time in many years, I feel genuine hope that progress is possible and that the correct anatomical target may have been identified. Shahid came highly recommended to me - and I’m so glad he did! From the first consultation, it was clear that he was on the ball and was able to fit me in for surgery faster than I’d hoped. My initial hospital experience in December had left me a little shaken, but with Mr Farid I finally felt like I was in safe hands. My operation ended up being a little more tricky than anticipated (or so I’m told!), which makes me even more thankful that I went with a good surgeon. The experience at Spire Hospital Leeds was also top notch, with absolutely wonderful staff (and a great lunch menu!). Mr Farid checked in on me frequently on recovery, which was highly appreciated. I am now recovering well at home.

I had a combined ASD & ADHD appointment at Diverse Minds Clinic and am very happy with the outcome. I had to fill in several questionnaires before the appointment, and that was pretty hard. However, the sacrifice was repaid, as Dr Cappai put me at ease and understood my difficulties. For the first time, I felt heard, and it was a great experience. The service provided at Diverse Minds Clinic is impressive. They tend to reply very quickly, and staff do all they can to support you. The team has been very helpful, and they went above and beyond to help me with the forms where I was having problems. Dr Cappai also arranged to speak with me on the phone, free of charge, before my appointment, which I thought was remarkable. I will continue working with Dr Cappai during the titration period and possibly in the future. Highly recommended.

Pretty straightforward experience overall. The receptionist on the first floor (the Somali lady wearing a hijab) was extremely kind and helpful. My phone was about to die and I asked if there was any chance of a charger- she went out of her way to help me, which I really appreciated. It’s the small things like that which leave a lasting impression, and that’s exactly why I wanted to leave this review. The only small suggestion I’d make is having oat milk available at the coffee machine for those who don’t have dairy, it would be a thoughtful and considerate touch.

I had an appointment at 5 pm and at 5.10 pm for pathology related to my upcoming Biopsy. First I was taken in for a flow rate test ??? which was not schedule . I told the nurse that I was there for a pre admission test, but she had no idea. Finally and after my request the nurse start looking into it. The hospital did forget to give instructions about what test had to be done. I had to wait ONE hour and 15 minutes at the premises . Finally the right test come in and they could proceed. Absolutely terrible.

The consultant was very reassuring throughout. The teams, medical and physio, came across as calm, competent and professional. The nurses and reception staff at the hospital were friendly, calm and professional not just to me, the patient, but to my wife as well. Recovery after the procedure was less daunting than I feared it would be, the pain experienced was less than I feared it might be, and the rehab process has been every bit as easy as I was told it might be. I went for a sigmoidoscopy procedure at the ECEC just before Christmas. I was slightly nervous about having this procedure done but couldn’t have been put at anymore ease by the staff there.
