The cardiac MRI itself was conducted efficiently, but what truly set this experience apart was the time and care taken afterwards to explain the results. The findings were explained clearly, systematically, and in a way that was both thorough and easy to understand, without being rushed or patronising - this shouldn’t be taken for granted! I’ve had previous imaging visits where I didn’t feel like I fully understood the results or the next steps. Every question I had was addressed thoughtfully, with clear reasoning and genuine engagement. I truly felt heard by Dr Howard. It was obvious that this was a clinician with deep expertise, but also someone who places real value on patient understanding and reassurance. I left the appointment feeling fully informed, confident in the conclusions, and reassured about my future care. I felt like I received outstanding clinical care, combining excellent diagnostic expertise with exceptional communication and genuine warmth. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Howard to anyone seeking high-quality, patient-centred cardiac care.

My first appointment was arranged within a week. After my appointment I was offered surgery in exactly one more week. Everything was great, lovely facilities, lovely staff. Everyone was very friendly and constantly being offered coffee etc. On every occasion I was taken either on time or early. I was put at ease and everything was fully explained and what the best lenses for me would be, based on my history and interests. On the day of surgery, everything went fine and there was no pain whatsoever, merely a strange feeling as the surgeon did his stuff. Afterwards I was given advice re eye drops and aftercare and again all great. Everything was fine when I got home, merely discomfort and that soon passed. I had plenty of people checking and following up that all was well. Finally, I had a follow up visit after a few weeks and again everything was great and very professional and I was advised to see my optician and GP. Throughout my time, the service I received was first class.

I visited the hospital to see an orthopaedic surgeon after having a fall at work and damaging my knee. I have had issue with it since the accident I suffered at work.I was advised to lodge a claim with my employers insurance. This I did because of the problems I am having with my knee. I was sent to see this gentleman so he could assess the damage to my knee. I was treated as if I was only there because I was lodging a claim and to have recompense for the damage I suffered and still am. He seemed very abrupt and I felt as though I was cross examined over the form I had filled in regarding my injury. I left the room feeling like I had done something extremely bad and wrong. I have never had to go through this scenario and very much hope not to have to go through another. I am a patient who has an injury that I am advised my a consultant needs an operation yet I was treated though I was feigning injury. I do not feel valued having attend at the one hospital.

Dr Ahmad Khwanda

I am an 88 year old woman who, during her long life, has been under the care of many doctors and Dr. Khwanda is by far the most thorough and caring of them all. Once home after my cardioversion, he phoned me daily later telling me to phone him if I had any worries or concerns. I cannot fault him regarding his post procedure care and thoughtfulness. I consider myself extremely fortunate that, by chance, I chose Dr. Khwanda to be my cardiologist and in whom I have gained complete trust. He is very competent, professional, has the respect of his team, explains treatments and necessary medications in laymen’s terms and very importantly, treats his patients with the greatest care and concern. I found the whole experience of surgery with Dr. Kovacova to be extremely reassuring. I was relatively nervous about the ptosis op, she gave clear and considered information on what I should expect and the related risks before the op but was careful to explain that it was a relatively routine procedure that put me at ease. During the op she talked to me throughout, making me feel calm and relaxed. During my follow up appointment she was very friendly and explained the best course of action for healing. Dr Wronka performed a total right hip replacement on me in mid-November last year. I met him first at a consultation, then again on the morning of my surgery and also that afternoon after surgery. I also saw him for a follow-up appointment in January. He has a very kind professional manner and took time to explain the procedure itself as well as what to expect afterwards. He was direct and explained things clearly, answering my questions fully. The whole experience was superb and I would have no hesitation in recommending him. Excellent.
