After arriving at my appt on time 9.30am after accidentally being at the wrong location and rushing to not be late, 5mins later I hear the receptionist greeting the doctor I am supposed to be seeing. I wait a further 10mins to be called. This was unprofessional in my opinion. You could usually blame traffic, but the appointment being during a week of schools being off that cannot be an excuse imo. My experience of investigating my pain has been shocking. I felt like I was given a common speech given to insurance clients by Dr Sloan, being very vague about my scan results when I am working with my own physio and coaches who require more detail. He then referred me to Dr Stafford. Assuming I was going in for a consult I come out with a diagnosis it takes people 5-10 years to be diagnosed with (after only having symptoms for less than a year) after completing a 3 question survey. Working with my physio it is clear my pain is from disc problems. I feel like I have been given the diagnosis of a chronic condition for the sake of trying to explain my pain without actually anything useful I can do to move forward. And personally I’m glad that insurance covered this experience because I would be even more frustrated paying that amount of money outright for an experience which quite literally feels like a scam.

The entire team at Cleveland Clinic London, from the front-of-house staff to the clinical team, were equally impressive. Everyone was welcoming, efficient, and highly professional, creating a seamless and stress-free experience. on arrival everything went well and the service was very quick. It was also very busy Unfortunately, on meeting the Doctor, it appeared that he was telling me what I had learned from a meeting four days previously. On checking he found the appointment had been replicated. I thought that I was appearing to hear from the surgeon who would be carrying out my operation and I was very disappointed to hear that I was not I had just made a 20 mile journey to arrive which turned out to be a complete waste of my time and the Doctors. I asked him how long it would be before I would receive a date for my operation and he suggested it would be probably be between sin and eight months. I left with no apology and on leaving somebody else was “ thanking” the department for wasting her time. I wondered how often this happened and whether it was a private hospital trying to get patients to perhaps consider going private instead of waiting for such a long time. I would not want it to be taken up with the doctor in case he is the person who carries out my op!

I needed a review of my orthotics, as they were now about two years old. In the last few months, the practice has moved down a floor in the building, resulting in a far airier, far more modern and far more pleasant environment, and it also means that they are finally able to expand the practice, While it’s still a work in progress, the upgrade to the environment is fantastic! What’s not changed is that Hugo and Matt remain the most excellent orthosis techs that I’ve ever dealt with. They are both charming, efficient, attentive to detail and professional. The key advantage of the practice is that they follow the French method of both designing and creating your orthotics while you are there. The result was that s always, I waked out with a remedy for the minor issues that had arisen since my last orthotics were made. They may have been, as Hugo put it, “minor changes”, but they’ve made major improvements to how I stand, how I walk and how I feel. I’d recommend them without hesitation.

It was a little stressful but quite straightforward and didn't take long.

Excellent on all fronts. Both eyes with new NHS lenses. Quick, efficient. Great results. I’m short sighted and was offered lenses that still gave good vision for reading and moderate distance . I opted for standard lenses which give good distance vision . This does mean reading glasses are needed. I’m getting used to that, but I’m glad I can now see distance.
