Mr Ahmed proposed a well-considered course of treatment that he felt was the most appropriate for my individual circumstances, giving me confidence in his expertise and judgement. I have seen a number of consultants over the years, and Mr Ahmed stands out as one of the best. I would highly recommend Mr Ahmed to anyone experiencing neck or back pain.

When I entered the premises I couldn’t believe the transformation that had taken place as I was familiar with the building when it was a hairdressing salon. It was spacious, immaculate and tranquil. Having been quite anxious before my appointment, I quickly relaxed as all the staff were extremely friendly and kind. All the tests were performed swiftly and smoothly with every concern for my comfort and my understanding of the procedures involved. Mrs. Matthews explained my forthcoming cataract surgery clearly, comprehensively and reassuringly and I was very pleased to be offered the surgery I such a short space of time. All in all I couldn’t have wished for a better experience with North Wales Eye Specialist Centre.

I cannot recommend Dr Tania Adib highly enough. After experiencing severe vaginal atrophy as a result of breast cancer treatment and while taking Letrozole, I was struggling both physically and emotionally. Dr Adib approached my situation with exceptional care, knowledge, and empathy. She listened carefully and recommended the MonaLisa laser treatment, which has helped me enormously. I am so glad I followed her advice — the improvement in comfort and quality of life has been remarkable. I feel like a woman again! I believe that Dr Adib combines outstanding medical expertise with genuine compassion. I’m deeply grateful for her help and would encourage any woman facing similar issues to seek her care.

My experience whilst in the care of Mr. Hamouda has been outstanding. He is a positive, confident and experienced surgeon / consultant who put me at ease, listened to my understandable concerns and immediately took decisive steps to meet my needs. The whole process, from initial contact on the phone to discharge from the ward took approximately 8 weeks - superb! I have been given guidance and advice at every step; clear outlining of the diagnosis, the proposed procedure and the post surgery support available. All the staff I have met, whatever their role, have been encouraging, pleasant and professional.

The imaging team — particularly R. Wilson and L. Kuriakose — were outstanding. Their efficiency, professionalism, and the way they worked with me throughout the treatment were superb. In contrast, communication from the reception team was limited. There was little information provided regarding waiting times or updates, and my next of kin were not kept informed about what was happening or how long the process might take. This created unnecessary uncertainty during an already stressful time. Parking was also extremely challenging, to the point where travelling by train would likely have been easier.

All the staff were friendly and helpful. The entire stay was comfortable and I felt informed at all times. Although I asked the anaesthetist and two other staff members for numbing cream for the cannula and being told this would be ok, this wasn't done. When I got to the theatre, the theatre nurse explained it was too late. I was a bit disappointed that I was only allowed a sandwich in the evening but was told this was because of the anaesthetic. The breakfast was lovely and one of the nurses kindly helped me with my suitcase when I left which was appreciated.

It is a very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Each patient (and accompanying person) seemed to have a good interaction with the staff. There was a good discussion with Mr. Smith on the situation with respect to the eyes and possible treatments which may also need to be done elsewhere. He listened to my comments and questions and responded in a clear way. During the treatment care was taken to warn me of any possible pressure on the face, but Mr. Smith has a light touch so there was never any problem. All three treatments in 2025 were done very well.

I can’t recommend Mr Emeka Okaro highly enough. He was calm, reassuring, and made me feel completely safe throughout my pregnancy and birth. I felt so comfortable knowing I was in his care, and that trust made all the difference. I had gestational diabetes and wanted a normal vaginal birth without an epidural or unnecessary intervention, and Mr Okaro fully supported this and helped make it happen. I’m so grateful for how listened to and supported I felt. Justina was also wonderful — kind, efficient, and always on top of everything.

I had a very good follow up appointment with Mr Mullen after my total knee replacement 7 weeks. I am extremely grateful and thankful to Mr Mullen for such a positive outcome and successful postoperative result. I have made a full recovery and was able to walk well without crutches after only four weeks. I have been able to return back to the gym and continue to build on my fitness level. I am delighted to say I am not on any pain relief and infact, I am pain free. It is wonderful to be able to get back out walking and enjoy LIFE.

I wanted to have a consultation quickly because the hospital needed advice to help with a second go at an endoscopy - the first could not be done because I had an episode of AF. I was seen in a couple of days and got advice on medication which made me much more confident for the second (successful) hospital visit.
