The Joint Injection Clinic

I've seen the Joint Injection doctor twice, had two injections, and both were very helpful. The first visit was after I suffered some tissue injury to an arthritic knee and had some fluid removed and a cortisone injection, which gave me immediate relief and was the catalyst to me returning to exercise. I was having ongoing stiffness in the same joint and returned six months later. After consultation I chose to have a hyaluronic acid injection. This made a big difference to the pain, stiffness and function of my knee and has meant I am able now to properly rebuild strength on that side. Dr Thing is easy to talk to, and I felt he really supported what I am trying to do, which is to stay highly active and delay the point I will need surgery for as long as possible. He is very well informed and explained clearly the pros and cons of various approaches to managing arthritis of the knee. He is also skilled at what he does, the injections are ultrasound guided to ensure correct placement and both injections were painless.

I am a very active 51 year old man and Mr Atkinson fixed my medial meniscus tear which had been obstructing movement in my leg. After 8 weeks I am back swimming, practicing Yoga 5 times a week (all poses including deep squats and child pose) and I also started kick boxing again. I will be training jiu jitsu again in a week's time. I also climbed the stairs at Highgate tube station this week - all 100 of them - without any pain or locking. I had a very good experience with Mr Atkinson. From initial to final consultation I was very happy with the care given to me. In fact my girlfriend who is also a doctor was very impressed by Mr Atkinson's knowledge on a variety of questions she asked. I was very pleased to find out about this clinic and have it so local to me, I found out through a Raynaud's Facebook group. I was able to self refer. I am an NHS nurse with experience in vascular and tissue viability but felt like I still had some questions as I had gone through an acute episode last weather resulting in requiring interventions. I felt I had some questions that wasn't really getting explained to me from my rheumatologist and also the tests were not available on my nhs appointments/trust, so it helped give me a picture of how severe my Raynaud's was and advice for next steps. I have both Raynaud's and Sjogren's. I found both Louise and Dr Howell very knowledgeable and thorough, they took time to listen and explain. I felt supported throughout the appointment. I left much more informed and reassured. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone dealing with Raynaud's.

I recently visited the London Gynaecology Centre for an appointment with Ms. Mishra, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care I received. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at ease. What stood out most was her kindness—she approached every part of the consultation with genuine compassion and professionalism. She provides a fantastic service, where she brings great professionalism, expertise, attention to detail to the individual in front of her, and genuine care. With regards to my own health screening, the whole process was extensive but very smooth and I was quickly provided actionable outcomes. The overall clinic experience was great, the clinic staff were very welcoming and helpful and the clinic space was of high standard. As someone into their health and fitness, and as a practitioner in a different field of the health and wellness industry, I would highly recommend Deia Health and Dr Lafina.

I could not recommend MUMs and Miss Pradhan highly enough. Right from my first phone call, the team were so accommodating, they understood and heard my concerns and provided availability to get me seen within two days. Miss Pradhan herself is extremely knowledgeable, supportive and empathic and immediately put me at ease. She was able to explain everything and I was able to ask all the questions that were causing me anxiety. I walked away from the clinic feeling totally reassured and knew that there was an action plan in place to ensure I was on the right medical pathway. I could not thank the team and Miss Pradhan enough for their care and reassurance and would advise anyone who has concerns to go and explore them with the team at MUMs.

I recently had surgery at Spire Leicester Hospital. The medical staff were amazing, friendly, informative and they really helped put me at ease throughout my stay. However, the administrative side needs be improved, as it took several weeks of chasing before I finally received my booking confirmation. Additionally, after my large open inguinal hernia operation, I was discharged without being offered a wheelchair and had to walk down from the second floor to leave the hospital, which was difficult so soon after surgery. Overall, excellent clinical care, but room for improvement in administration and patient support on discharge.

When I booked to attend (through my private health company) - it wasn’t fully explained that this was a clinical appointment. What a fantastic service. Dr Milestone could not have been more helpful or supportive during my recent time as his patient. I had been experiencing symptoms which had been unexplained for months, and which had led to a lot of anxiety for me. I was delighted by Cardiff Gate. I had a PSA blood panel. I would be HUGELY delighted if you would consider the following: Blood tests at Sancta in Swansea could gather blood work across greater Swansea Bay. As a suggestion to you, please consider offering that on ONE of your 2 visits per week to Sancta. say, offer morning bloods? Then charge clients a small extra fee to cover a courier to run them all back to Cardiff at midday. You don't really offer such a Bloods service ain Swansea at the moment and it would cover its costs and bring in regular business.

Overall I got what I needed which is all that matters ultimately. Found it annoying to have to fill in yet another paper form when I’d registered online as requested via email the day before. Yet another different NHS portal - the third I have had to sign up to. Was also not happy to be asked for a credit card when I was there as a fully insured patient. I was told it was ‘policy’ but when I said I’d rather not it no longer seemed to be policy.

I had a partial knee replacement operation in Feb 2025 by Dr Farrar, and I can highly recommend Dr Farrar as my experience of the whole pre-operation, the op itself and post-operation physio was first class. Six months after the operation I was back playing golf and also back playing walking football weekly, and I hardly have any sign of the scar from the surgery.
