Dr. Amit Mistry

Found Dr Mistry very good to talk to and very attentive. Think he summarises the situation really well and listens to the individual's wishes. He also communicates solutions very well.

Dr Pablo Jeczmien
Psychiatry
London
It was very easy to communicate with him and he explained all of the symptoms very well. I think that to have a better idea about the diagnosis and assurance that it can be cured was a great outcome of this appointment.

Dr Jose Belda
Psychiatry
London
It was not until my late thirties, that I was formally diagnosed with ADHD. I was always aware that I had issues with concentration and being too impulsive. Contrary to many mis-held beliefs; I was not a terrible child when I was young, but I did not achieve my full potential at school. I have always worked in a professional job. Studying for these professional qualifications was very draining mentally, I was very competent at doing the work but learning the theory parts was hard. I eventually made an appointment with my GP and explained that I thought I may have ADHD. The entire consultation was a 1 line dismissive response. Her answer was 'You cannot have got to the age you are and hold a professional job such as yours and possibly have ADHD'. Being somewhat of a dogmatic person; I conducted some research and discovered some articles written by Dr Belda. They were eye opening. I emailed him and he rung me within a day or 2. I explained my thoughts, what the GP had said but Dr BELDA was most informative and reassuring. I arranged a meeting and have had help, medication, advice, interim checkups and the odd text, call or email from Dr Belda to check how I am coping – he has gone over and above with these check up emails or calls to check on my progress. An absolutely first rate service both in terms of my ADHD treatment but also his professionalism and just generally decent way with people. My wife, who is a qualified Medic, was present during the debacle of the meeting with the G.P and all of Dr Belda's consultations. Clearly she has a professional and informed view; and she states he is one of the finest Consultants she has met in her career. I have been under the care and treatment of Dr BELDA for around 7-8 months. I would say the help he has given me in the form of my diagnosis and treatment has been Outstanding. The most telling reference I can give is the fact that I recommended Dr Belda to a good friend who was also I need of help.

Dr Ian Nnatu
Psychiatry
London
Very understanding, would let patient and advocates express their views and he listened carefully, knew what his expertise was and where medical conditions exceeded his expertise (e.g., autism), he didn't pretend to know it all, this is very important, being a doctor's wife and a doctor's sister myself. We have come across psychiatrists who just do not listen, are dismissive of relatives' accounts/views, etc. Very happy with how he cared for and treated my relative, would recommend this psychiatrist wholeheartedly.
