The appointment with the specialist gastroenterologist and blood test, reception, bookings etc was fine, no wait, quick, efficient and friendly. All very good. The MRI was another story. I have shared my feedback with the experience team. See below. How are your staff performing procedures on patients trained? The team I was handed over looked more like students under training with no supervision, it was scary to be left alone with them for an MRI. Are you cutting costs so that no doctors are available on the day of my procedure? I have been better taken care of by the NHS ! I have just had the worst experience for what should have been a simple MRI procedure. The team I was handed to were unable to find a suitable vein to perform the dye injection. They tried several times, I asked to call someone else to try, the man who arrived didn't manage either and it was even more painful, they ended up harming both my arms. There were no doctors available. I insisted to see one. They said we could maybe do the MRI without the dye solution injected in my arms. They asked me what I wanted to do?! I replied I was not a doctor and the decision was not with me as I have no idea what it involves. Finally after waiting for over 20mins in a freezing room, with just a light layer to cover me, a doctor arrived. He said we shouldn't do an MRI without injecting the dye solution. Eventually he managed to do the needle procedure very well and easily and it was not painful at all. He left straight after. The MRI happened but no explanation was given to me by the team, who looked more like "in learning students with no supervision", I just prayed they actually knew what they were doing but I was very doubtful... no feedback on how it went, how long left during the MRI, when the results would be coming etc. I had MRIs with HCA in the past, a totally different experience. Doctors seem to be good at Cleveland but the staff I met yesterday was undertrained and there is obviously a management / administration problem. NHS does better on some instances. We pay a fortune for these types of clinics, this is shocking. I will never trust this place for any further procedures handling my health and body.

We also want to express special thanks to Miss Ahmad for her exceptional support. Her efficiency, kindness, and willingness to go the extra mile have made a world of difference to our family. In every respect, Mr. Shoakazemi and Miss Ahmad have exceeded all expectations. Their skill, compassion, and unwavering dedication embody the very best of medical care. We cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for us.

The appointment and staff were great but please please please sort out the signage to your section of the hospital. I arrived at the QEQM an hour before my appointment as I knew parking at that time would be a nightmare. I was still trying to park 15 minutes before my appointment. I had to leave my car in a side road and hope it was a restricted area. I had to run from me side of the hospital to the other and no where on any map or sign was there anything saying where the Spencer hospital was. I eventually found the main reception who had to give me directions. I found the part I needed by pure chance. I arrived 4 minutes after my appointment time. This is the 3rd Spencer hospital I have visited within 5 weeks. It was the same story at K and C with no signs. WHH was the only one that had signage where I could find where I needed to go easily but again not listed on the main hospital maps.

Mr Tariq Ayoub

I have seen Mr Ayoub on 3 occasions so far: (i) for an initial assessment of the cataract in my left eye; (ii) for the cataract removal and lens replacement two weeks later; and (iii) for a post-op checkup one week after the operation. He wants to see me once more in 6 weeks to 2 months for a further follow-up. On all 3 occasions, I found Mr Ayoub's explanation of my eye conditions to be clear. He checked to ensure I understood what he was saying. He explained what he would be doing during the operation; possible risks and side-effects; and he managed my expectations. My eyesight began to improve almost immediately after the operation. I experienced very little discomfort, and none at all after the first few hours. I am delighted with the result.

Dr Ehtasham Ahmad

I recently visited Dr Ahmad at Melton Hospital for a scheduled Fiabetic appointment after a referral from my local GP surgery. Dr Ahmad is a great asset to Melton's Diabetic popularion. He is polite, encouraging and extremely knowledgeable. Dr Ahmad and his team are professional, courteous and very well connected with colleagues in the Diabetes and Nephrology departments at Leicester General Hospital. With Dr Ahmad's supervision and dedication i am now living with my Diabetes within 'normal' parameters which is a huge bonus. I am very grateful for the first class care shown to me so far by Dr. Ahmad.

Professor Axford is clearly a highly experienced specialist and provided me with a very comprehensive verbal and physical examination, support and advice. I was really in a great deal of pain and my lifestyle was deteriorating drastically. Prof Axford took these points into his assessment and provided immediate advice and treatment which has turned me around! As I learn more about PMR, I really appreciate that his life long professional experience in this area of work and will continue to learn from his guidance, as am sure many others have benefited. Mr Zelad El-Gisawy was fantastic. He was so calm, he made me feel so settled and confident. All the care I received was amazing. The Harbourne Hospital and all of the staff were so professional, nothing was too much trouble. My recovery has been really easy, no problems at all. I'm sure it was being decorated when I visited 6 months ago. Still is. Before appointment they send forms to be completed online. No problem with that except one is for COVID asking if anybody on the family has been to a country on the government red list or been told to isolate by NHS. Neither of those things happen now. I raise it every time and nothing changes. Almost as if nobody reads the reviews. So much for "quality"

At the Breast Centre, everyone I have seen has been very nice & professional, especially Ms Lobo & Ms Patel. A very special thank you to Alina who has explained everything so clearly , who checks in regularly to see if I’m okay & at the end of the phone if I need her. Receptionists very friendly too!

Was overnight stay at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, all staff were very polite and courteous to myself and the other 5 people within the ward during my stay. The team were very attentive to each individuals needs, which made for a pleasant stay. Facilities were clean and if any ‘accidents’ occurred then these were addressed immediately to promote cleanliness in the ward

Asked all questions (clearly from script/list of qs), even when already discussed and known as irrelevant, or already covered the answer. Exercises provided in technical terms only, hard for lay person to remember and understand. Zero follow up even though it was promised.

I am 78 and for most of my life I have been an active sportsman, hence the knees, which severely restricted my mobility and adversely affecting my quality of life. However, I received a subsequent email and letter from Check4Cancer that was for somebody else's results (there was no identifiable information to who the results pertained to).

I had a zoom meeting, so can't really comment on cleanliness or the physical practice. The assessor was amazing, really friendly and took things at my pace. I love the format, ending on a positive after almost 2 hours talking about all the ways I felt like I'm failing at life really made a difference to my outlook the rest of the day.
