I had an initial appointment with Dr Lauren Colquhoun and Emily Holt at Willow Health, and honestly, it was such a positive experience. The appointment was meant to be an hour, but there was absolutely no rush and they actually spent around 1 hour 15 minutes with me just to make sure everything was covered properly. They really look at everything, my age, lifestyle including diet, exercise and sleep pattern, my long-term health conditions, and all the symptoms I’ve been struggling with. They didn’t rush me at all. They gave me some initial ideas to get started and said we’d talk through options once I’d had time to think things over and review the follow up materials, which I really appreciated. I left feeling genuinely supported and reassured. It was the first time in a long while that I felt confident I was getting the right advice, something you just don’t get in a 10-minute GP appointment. Would 100% recommend Willow Health to anyone needing proper advice, guidance and support.

I signed up for CP&R almost 6 months ago and have never looked back. The service has been excellent, communication fast and efficient and both extremely professional and friendly at the same time. The CP&R staff are extremely well trained and experienced and very easy to get on with. Their support throughout my rehabilitation has been brilliant and I certainly wouldn't be in the position I am in now if it wasn't for the whole team. I have been able to call upon advice form the physio team and cardiac nurse and every time they have been very supportive and helpful. My coach, Chloe, has been with me every step of the way and has seen me through the good and bad times, her support and enthusiasm has been fantastic and I can't thank her enough for all her hard work during my rehabilitation. I cannot recommend CP&R enough and would urge everyone to look into their services, they have certainly aided my recovery beyond what I thought was possible.

Dr. Kariyawasam offers a rare and exceptional combination of deep medical expertise and genuine compassion. Her follow-up letters are always clear, thorough, and truly helpful. Even her secretary is accessible, kind, and supportive, which makes the entire experience smooth and reassuring. Dr. Kariyawasam initially became my doctor by chance, as I needed an urgent appointment and she happened to be available. It is no coincidence, however, that she will remain my doctor moving forward. Dr Manish Kalla is a wonderful cardiologist and electrophysiologist. He provides an excellent quality of care and has a lot of experience with treating heart rhythm problems. I had a cardioversion and it was wonderful because my normal heart rhythm was immediately restored from atrial fibrillation by Dr Kalla’s expertise. Everything was explained really well so that I feel very confident that I am having the best possible doctor assisting in my care and I look forward to him continuing to do so. I highly recommend him to anyone who is in need of his expertise in restoring a normal healthy heart rhythm. I feel very privileged to have Dr Kalla as my cardiologist and electrophysiologist.

I was anxious about my first visit following some negative experiences with nhs gp appointments. But on meeting Dr Shori I was instantly very comfortable and felt heard. I had relevant tests quickly and efficiently. I did not feel rushed or dismissed at any point and came away feeling relieved that I had some answers to symptoms I had been struggling with for a long time. The practice was lovely, clean and overall a nice atmosphere. Arrived in good time but parking was appalling. No toilet in the temporary scanner, so had to find another in main building. Was a little out of breath in return and was sent straight in. Told to stay still, but was still breathing a little hard which wasn’t taken into account. The staff were pleasant but seemed to give up on me when I couldn’t hear instructions through the headphones (I had been told to wear ear protection buds underneath).

My hip operation was successful and carried out by Mr Edward Gardner. His professionalism in he listening and explaining about the operation. After the operation Mr Gardner used a vacuum pump on my scar to heal / seal and keep the wound clean; this has worked really well. My scar has closed cleanly. I now feel more confident in my mobility and I have no worries in returning to have the other hip replaced in the future by Mr Gardner.

Overall I was very happy with my experience in Ballykelly. There were a few things I feel would have improved my experience . My admission time was 12 and yet I didn’t go to theatre until after 3. As someone who suffers from anxiety I found the wait added to my anxiety. My legal name is not the name I am known by and while I told the nurse this on admission the team didn’t take this on board.
