I identified Dr Stephens as someone who might be more suited to my age and sporting interests than my previous cardiologist. The difference in approach was like chalk and cheese. Dr Stephens explained the hunch he had, was willing to share surprise that a key test had been overlooked, it was arranged quickly and delivered professionally by what seemed a very experienced and knowledgeable team at Northwick Park (Mary and colleague). The results accorded with the hunch and were extremely good news. This was against a backdrop of having been advised to do three months detraining, not easy for me but doable if necessary, but without any real assurance that it would lead to a diagnosis. Twenty seven days of booked holidays cancelled with deposits refunded, the prospect of beta blockers for a protracted period, not able to give blood, not possible to continue with my previous travel insurer and always with the doubt in my mind that there may be an undiagnosed significant heart issue. I was amazed by the clarity with which the advice was given, the quality of the advice, the personableness of Dr Stephens and the speed/clarity of the communications. after the two appointments. I got lucky in being given enough info by a friend to take the decision to get myself seen by Dr Stephens. The experience has truly been life changing and I can't think of any other way of describing it. To say I am extremely grateful is a total understatement. I was also impressed by Libby and others in the administration team at Maidstone who seemed to handle everything efficiently and slickly. Overall, entirely faultless and massively impressive. Thank you so much (and see you in a year's time!)

Overall experience was poor. After initial consultation I had little or no contact with the hospital, any contact was initiated by myself. Clear lack of communication between departments. I had already paid for my procedure and waiting for a surgery slot. Surgery was scheduled for a Wednesday but received a call the Friday before basically saying if I didnt drive up that day and do a blood test, the operation couldn't go ahead. Luckily I was in a position where I could do that but imagine if I had kids, couldn't get out of work, had no car/transport. The list goes on. The actual surgery seems to have gone well. (1 week post op). But.... the whole experience was pretty poor, no, very poor. I'd have been upset if this was the NHS but this was a privately paid procedure and if it wasn't for the fact that I had already booked time off work, staff cover, kennels for my Cane Corso's (which wasn't cheap) I genuinely would have asked for my money back and gone somewhere else.

It was OK. Sorry this system doesn't allow me to write why I went there and therefore wastes my time! I was there for a Pre op assessment. My Op is 9 Feb 2026 under Dr Panos Gikas. I asked him if I could attend this clinic as it is nearer where I live. The. appointment was alright. The only issue I had was that when it came to having a blood test, they insisted that I had to have 2 separate ones in each arm? I get blood tests regularly as I have a long term condition. The first one was relatively pain free which was performed by Isabella. The second was performed by Riggs(?) and was unneccessarily painful due to him holding down the needle when it was in my arm. I was not happy about that. I did not understand the reason for the second blood test, when one is usually fine and if more blood is required, then usually another vial is attached as necessary.

This is truly a very pleasant clinic. All staff put you at ease and treat you very well. I had an upper endoscopy performed by Dr Craig Mowat. He is a really patient, polite and conscientious professional man who listened to my concerns and talked me through them. He was very thorough and suggested how I could relive my symptoms mean time until my procedure, which was only a few weeks later. He explained exactly what would happen. The experience was very calm and I was put at ease. Dr Mowat told me of his findings immediately after the procedure and called me to discuss biopsy results a couple of weeks later. The whole experience was calm and quickly put my fears to rest. Thank you very much for lifting a huge weight off my mind - I can now get back to enjoying life!

Dr Amr is an excellent example of a confident, specialised doctor who considers the patient's psychological state before their physical condition. He can calm the patient and prepare them for discussion and understanding of their condition by providing a thorough explanation, giving examples, and clarifying differences from other cases with similar symptoms. Another good thing is his explanation of different treatment methods, highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of each to help the patient make an informed decision while staying up to date with the latest advancements in medicine and treatment. I was extremely nervous having had a bad cataract surgery experience previously. However the staff went out of the way to make me feel comfortable, with a particular shout out to Bruce who was calm, funny, knowledgeable and held my hand throughout the procedure. Mr Ainsworth was warm and kind, it was good to meet him before the surgery. The whole procedure was explained and was over so quickly. It was a very personalised experience and my recovery has been quick and straightforward. I cannot recommend Newmedica highly enough, particularly for nervous patients.

Very happy with my consultant and the nursing staff but (as I have previously said in feedback) that waiting area (on the first floor) at Parkside really needs improvement. The reception staff are unfriendly, talk noisily amongst themselves, the coffee machine was broken today, there are sirens (or alarms or phone rings?) going off regularly which is not good for anxious patients
