We chose Fitzrovia Suite as its part of big NHS hospital in case of any unexpected emergency, it made us feel comfortable being just 1 floor away in case anything happens. The team is wonderful and professional able to create a sense of safety and calm in those moments before and after birth. They were supportive during one of the most vulnerable and delicate experiences a woman can go through, offering practical tips, guidance, emotional support and truly personal care at any hour, for any question or request we had. Midwifes supported us looking after our baby so we can get some sleep waking us is time for feeds, meds and breastfeed support. The midwifes were also available on WhatsApp after the birth, which was incredibly helpful. There is so much information to process when you’re discharged home, and having the ability to ask follow-up questions and get quick clarifications made a huge difference for us. Facility itself is clean, catering is nice, rooms were comfortable, branded toiletries are provided -great experience.

Dr. Shabana was exceptional; I highly recommend her for her compassionate care and clear explanations. She has listened my concerns patiently and examined properly. Also, suggested appropriate test and diagnostic to rule out the actual problem. She has explained me all my reports and conditions and suggest best care options and provided appropriate next steps for the treatment to solve the issue as well as in long term what are the precautions and care i should take. She has also guided me to join the community for the menopause to keep my self up to date with support and treatments. Really thankful to call me out of hours when my few results on the report were concerning. Really appreciate your support and providing appropriate guidance and care.

Mr Jonathan Pollock

At the outset I was nervous as the suspected bcc was in an awkward place. Mr Pollock talked through all the options with me and I was happy with the decision to go for a "small margin" in the first instance. The excision was done on 26th November. The surgery went well. Mr Pollock did an excellent job, particularly because it was around the mouth area. On 31st December I had a follow up appointment to find out the results. Mr Pollock reiterated the discussion we had previously had about the various options and then told me it was an infiltrative bcc with roots . I was very worried at the prospect of more surgery. He then told me he had successfully got it all out. Tip for next time: Maybe lead with "Its good news".

I have received nothing but the upmost care from all staff. The parking is simple on arrival and great to have disabled spaces immediately outside for collection post op! I have always been called through to my appointments on time and at times even earlier if I've arrived early myself. The staff that have stood out to me and taken wonderful care are Louise, Ruby, Jessie in the surgery department and Sandy in the post care department. Everywhere is always clean, with a warm welcome from reception. It's a lovely touch to use the drinks machine in the waiting area, the hot chocolate is delicious. I cannot fault any of my treatment or care by the Mcindoe staff, its exceptional.

Staff were extremely kind and helped me with my anxiety. I was so worried and all of the staff calmed me and explained clearly what would be happening. They treated me with respect and were proffessional at all times. There were no times during any visit that I felt awkward to ask for anything, or to ask questions. My experience during my visit for day surgery was very good overall. The nurses and physiotherapist were young but capable. The anaesthetists were very helpful both before and after my operation. The surgeon was brisk and efficient. I was perhaps a little surprised that he didn't come to see me after the operation. The quality of the snack I was offered after the operation was poor: crisps and a sandwich with stodgy bread. Hardly nutritious recovery food!

Spire Manchester Hospital provides an extremely well run and professional service. The reception team were friendly and efficient, the waiting areas were calm and clean, and the clinical staff showed real care and attention at every step. Communication was clear, appointments were organised on time, and the overall experience felt respectful and genuinely focused on patients. An excellent standard of healthcare that I would readily recommend to anyone.

The operating room was VERY COLD, and the nursing staff were very polite as I was very scared,the staff were most understanding and repeatedly asked if I was alright, but the doctor who carried out the operation (to me in a hurry to go home)kept on telling me to be still,i honestly believe any patient that has to undergo treatment to the eye should be given some type f tranqualisr to calm their nerves.

She helped me talk about how hard I find things without shame, which felt incredibly important. Together we made and implemented a plan that was realistic and achievable rather than overwhelming.
