I am writing to formally complain about misleading advertising by the clinic Skin55. Their website led me to believe that laser treatments were available at the clinic, and I booked a consultation directly with the clinic, not with any specific doctor. However, upon attending the appointment, I was informed that the clinic did not have the required laser equipment and that not all doctors at Skin55 perform laser treatments. This discrepancy meant that I paid an initial consultation fee of £300, only to then be told that I would need to be referred to another doctor within the same clinic who does provide laser treatments. This second consultation was then quoted at £380. This sequence of events highlights a lack of transparency and constitutes misleading advertising, resulting in unnecessary expenses and inconvenience. I believe that this matter warrants investigation to ensure that Skin55’s practices align with advertising and consumer-protection regulations. GENERALLY ALL OK. NOT HAPPY THAT WAS NOT WOKEN UP TO GET MY HOT BREAKFAST SO HAD IT COLD. NURSE DID NOT WRAP THE ICE CUBES PROPERLY SO BED WAS WET. NO ONE AROUND TO TAKE ME TO ENTRANCE WHEN CHECKING OUT. FEMALE PHYSIO AFTER SECOND OP WAS A BIT OFF HAND AND NOT AS HELPFUL AS THE MAN ON THE FIRST KNEE OP. ON FIRST OP HAD TO BE IN AT 7-8 a m. BUT DID NOT HAVE THE OPERATION TILL 3.30 p.m. IN AFTERNOON NO REASON. ONE OR TWO RECEPTIONISTS KEPT ASKING IF MY TREATMENT WAS FREE WHICH I DID NOT LIKE AS THE NHS WAS PAYING. SAME QUESTION NOT ASKED OF INSURANCE PAYERS, WHEN INSURANCE CO. PAYING. NURSE WHO TOOK PINS OUT ON SECOND KNEE OP MADE THE EXPERIENCE VERY PAINFUL AND DID NOT HAVE AN EXCUSE IT WAS AS IF IT WAS MY FAULT FOR FEELING SUCH PAIN. IT WAS NOT THE SAME WITH FIRST OP AT ALL. I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE GLUE KEEPING THEM IN SO HARD TO TAKE OUT, THEN ANOTHER NURSE SAYS IT WAS NOT. VERY CONTRADICTORY. MISS ANDREA A.

Mr Raza has been incredible. From the first appointment he understood my pain, other symptoms and the impact it was all having on me as a person. He gave me several options and I ended up having excision of endometriosis surgery with him early October. To say Mr Raza and this surgery changed my life is an understatement. I have gone from needing a walking stick to walking greater distances than I have in years and my pain has greatly subsided. His team have been so supportive of me and my husband throughout this journey (Sukhy and Denia are amazing too). I have had some awful experiences with other gynaecologists and endometriosis specialists, but I will continue to recommend Mr Raza to everyone suffering with this awful disease. Thank you so much 😊

I felt safe and well looked after throughout my stay. Any questions I had were answered clearly, and the team always made sure I understood what was happening and what to expect next. My experience was very disappointing with the consultant. I was happy for my appointment to be changed just before attending due to the consultant running late. I was very disappointed with the lack of interest and time shown to be by the consultant. I got 10 minutes of his time to be told to cut out caffeine at the cost of £250. I was hoping to receive some understanding of what could be causing recurrent UTI's and reassuring me of any fears of anything sinister i.e bladder cancer. Only to be told this only occurs for around 10/20% of cases. I think what really irked me was he looked at his watch part way through me speaking This I found very disrespectful and rude.

My first appointment was cancelled by the clinic this was after telling me to pay the fee upfront and re booked two weeks later. I arrived on time for my appointment and was told there would be a delay again. After waiting for sometime I asked the staff to find out what the delay was I was then seen by the clinician half an hour later. My experience with the clinician I felt was not worth the fee. I was not examined correctly I was not given any advice as to how to deal with the issue and the letter I received afterwards was not very accurate or informative. So I would not go back again or recommend.

He puts you at ease and explains everything and although I know he sees a lot of patients, he is so caring. He doesn’t rush like some consultants do…his professionalism has shone throughout the last 12 months and he also happens to be one of the loveliest people that I’ve had the pleasure to meet. Was a little confused and concerned with all the last minute changes for surgery, then to be told and left waiting in a room for surgery to then say ur appointment was not the appointment time when u came in on our computer so they did change my appointment time! Other than that surgeon was fantastic brilliant and friendly After Care - as given a bag of meds and a latter and cards for the doctor with no sore dressings for wound area.

We were welcomed nicely. Offered a lovely selection of drinks by the friendly reception staff and then saw our wonderful Dr Jawad who is just so kind, caring, thoughtful and knowledgable. He just goes beyond doctor and you really feel he genuinely cares for your child. He is so thorough and informative and has such a great manner with the children (and is parents). Would 100% recommend.

Would highly recommend Mr Sahu. He was thorough and took the time to explain my situation to me. It was reassuring to know that the treatment I had already been receiving for my AMD was appropriate but he also highlighted the need for cataract surgery in both eyes.
