I have been under the care of Dr Alistair Ring since September 2024, and from my very first visit to The Royal Marsden, I knew I had made the right decision to begin chemotherapy there. During our initial consultation, Dr Ring immediately put me at ease, even though I had just received a difficult test result minutes before our meeting. He took the time to explain the Oncotype test for example and the treatment options available, making it clear that every step of my care would be centred around me. Dr Ring’s attention to detail and his encouragement to ask questions gave me great confidence and helped me feel empowered throughout my treatment. Following chemotherapy, I began medication that induced menopause, and thanks to his early guidance on potential side effects and how to manage them, I felt fully prepared. I also appreciate that he has been open to ongoing conversations about my treatment, including exploring HRT options, this openness means a great deal. The clinical staff at The Royal Marsden have been exceptional. They have consistently provided compassionate, professional care, and I genuinely look forward to seeing them at each follow-up. They remember small details and speak to me as a person, not just a patient, which makes every visit a positive experience. I cannot recommend Dr Ring and The Royal Marsden highly enough. I am deeply grateful for the outstanding care and support I have received and continue to receive from the entire team.

Everything was appreciated. the only thing noticed was the main front desk receptionist as you check-in and indeed who checked me in before my appointment, which was at 12:45pm. She seemed over-worked and was not very welcoming, yet it was before lunch. The reception staff are the first point of contact for anyone and need to maintain a happier face (regardless of their own issues) and use far more entertaining approach or greeting language. My contact with this lady was not even 1-minute and this was not even fulfilled. This is compared to many places I have came across including hospital staff e.g MIR or my local GP including anywhere where you deal with the general public. Her approach was out of the ordinary and it was more like she was facing issues, no thanks expressed. Only formal questions asked in a rush so I can be marked in quickly and that's it.

Mr Florian Bast

I was referred to Mr Bast for a significantly deviated septum that was obstructing my breathing and causing sleep apneas, occasional snoring, and resulting in poor sleep quality. He and his team were excellent. The operation lasted 4 hours, during which - given that they had to substantially reshape my septum anyways - they even managed to straighten a slight bump, which was a nice plus. But most importantly, after the recovery period, my breathing difficulties are a thing of the past and it's making a big difference in my life. I just had my one-year follow-up, and I only have good things to say about Mr Bast and his team. The professionalism, kindness and ability they showed with the results they achieved cannot be faulted.

For the last four years I have been struggling with lung issues. I have seen four different consultants (Bupa and NHS). Professor Hull is the first consultant to actually chase down a diagnosis and get to the bottom of what has been causing the issues. Now we can finally treat the issue. For the first time in years I had a nebuliser free Christmas. I’m so happy! If you’ve been dismissed by other doctors or are not confident in the diagnosis you’ve been given, I highly recommend Professor Hull. I’ve been seen by other consultants who claim they can solve unexplained breathlessness and undiagnosed lung issues: Professor Hull actually can.

I have had various symptoms of perimenopause over the last year or so but it came to a head a few months ago when i had a severe panic attack and seemed to develop anxiety. I am finding this difficult to cope with and the GP didn't seem to help me. I met with Dr Colquhoun and she was lovely, provided me with alot of information and advice and took me and my symptoms seriously. As a result I now have a course of action and have had HRT prescribed and a coil fitted. Whilst this is all new to me, i am feeling very positive about this plan and hopeful that I can start to feel like myself again!

When I got my mammogram diagnosis, it was a lot to digest… know who best to turn to for advice, second opinion, treatment and what my future would look like… I contacted Miss Lobo’s PA Joanne, who eased me into my first appointment and ongoing journey. Miss Lobo instantly gave me a reassurance of what needed to be done. And dependant on results…. What each outcome would involve. She made me feel calm, and safe. With her knowledge, experience and professionalism…. my treatment was exactly as her explanation given. Treatment now completed… Truly thankful….

It was a private appoint & I paid for the ILR device. That was fine but I have been disappointed with the follow up since which seems to provide no reassurance that the ILR results are being looked at / reviewed so it is a case of assuming "no news is good news". In my view this is poor, if not unsatisfactory and it seems to me an initial 3 month review email followed by half yearly emails would be welcomed by patients. Also issue of contact phone numbers would be helpful e.g. technical. episode queries

The combination of therapies under one roof is Castle Craig's strong point and a great team of staff, all really friendly and helpful. I was here for six weeks and the intensive therapy schedule has been extremely beneficial for me. Family therapy was helpful and I'm working hard to mend the relationships in my family. The fitness sessions were a highlight, the staff got me moving and thinking about healthy living after years of alcohol abuse.

I decided to go privately and researched into best urology consultants and Dr Chitale came highly recommended. I am extremely happy with the results of my aquablation operation and my overall experience with the London Clinic and specifically Dr Chitale have been wonderful.

Apprehensive about a possible root canal - antibiotics first but they indicated I did need a root canal. Excellent treatment - didn’t feel the anaesthetic or any pain regardless of all that was ‘going on’ in my mouth. Dentist and dental nurse were very kind throughout the hours treatment re relaxing jaw. Returning for stage two but not apprehensive about it. Highly recommend.

Some feedback was the lack of information about parking. I also tried to follow the directions link and it failed on an apple device. A quick Google took me to the door fine. The appointment start time was late and my parking meter was at its end. Luckily no warden about. So some info on parking and timings to expect would be helpful. Thanks for reading.
