He didn’t just go above and beyond - he became a lifeline for us. His careful assessment of my son, his willingness to think deeply about the right clinical pathway, and his unwavering dedication to ensuring my son received the help he urgently needed have been nothing short of extraordinary. At every step, he balanced professional rigour with kindness and empathy, always making us feel heard, supported, and understood. As parents, we often felt overwhelmed by a system that can be confusing and fragmented, yet Dr Masud stood firmly beside us throughout. He advocated for my son, guided us through crucial decisions, and made himself available in moments when we felt lost (even at 1am in the morning). His involvement quite literally changed the trajectory of my son’s care and gave us hope at a time when hope was in short supply. Dr Masud is a shining light in a very difficult landscape. We would recommend him wholeheartedly to any family in need of a clinician who is not only exceptionally skilled, but also profoundly caring. We will forever be grateful for what he has done for our son -and for us. We are only at the start of our journey, but we feel in safe hands knowing he is with us. Thank you.

I instantly felt at ease and reassured on my first consultation with Mr Kumar. He listened closely to all that I told him and he clearly outlined the options available to me including not to go ahead with surgery if I felt the benefits were marginal. At no time was there any pressure or hard sell to proceed with treatment. A follow up letter was issued summarizing all that was discussed with potential risks for me to consider in my own time. On the day of the operation Mr Kumar kept me fully informed of the procedure and visited personally to advise of a delay in getting in to the theatre due to previous ops over running. I was discharged on the same day and suffered minimum post op discomfort. Should I require surgery in the future Mr Kumar will be my go to surgeon

The toilets were yet again filthy. For the second time I complained. I appreciate that nothing will change, but I discussed not only with the nurse, but also with front desk that the hygiene level was very low indeed. In a private facility this is a disgrace. Further, I found that any details given on a prior visit had not updated onto the current registration form. While I came in after 6.30 pm, i have seen the awful queues for registration at earlier times. Your reception person was on his own and was also on his own on the prior visit, and the paperwork took far too long. You need more than one person on the front desk. Overall, the clinic is poor.

Both Mr. Rajaratnam and the physiotherapist that visited me at home ( not the hospital physio's) strongly emphasized not to do any strengthening exercises for the first few weeks but restrict myself to just bending the knee aiming to get a 130 degree bend after 3 weeks. Heating the wound with a hot water bottle helped to loosen up the knee prior to doing this exercise. This was contrary to what the physiotherapists in the hospital were advocating , Anyway after 6 weeks I can bend the operated knee almost as much as I can the other one and I'm walking normally and I am now starting on strengthening exercises.

I was seeking a progress review as I was 6 weeks into a 12 week treatment plan and wanted to know that things were on track. I was offered a catch up appointment or a tel con review, either to occur within the hour but I agreed to send in some photo's via email. I received a call back from Mr Sidloff within 10 minutes of emailing him in which he was able to reassure me that all looked fine and there was no need for me to see him before the end of Jan 2026, unless I had a concern. So, 10 out of 10 for the speed and helpfulness of his response.

Thank you very much for your clear explanations, for explaining that a diagnosis / treatment is not necessarily a black and white thing, for taking the time to answer my questions and for providing advice. Your predecessor (not Dr Wamuo, who was brilliant with me over the phone) mentioned there was absolutely nothing to do with osteoarthritis. I can take the truth, but that sounded rather definite for something that involves inflammation. Thanks for at least trying something and advising physio and turmeric. I very much appreciate it.

I had a cancellation MRI which might explain why I wasn’t sure what to do. Had to wait 30 mins. Mobile units were ok but slightly disorganised. Reception lady was very professional but man who took over wasn’t easy to understand. I had to ask him about clothing to take off. I wasn’t told to remove my boots until I entered MRI room. He and another man got me into the unit but when I was pulled out some way through there was someone different which was strange. However this woman was very nice and kind.

Mr Parmar saw me after referral for root pain under an old crown, which escalated some what after my dental referral. I was in a lot of pain and very anxious given that my dentist could not deal with the issue due to proximity to the nerve and facial numbness. Mr Parmar instantly reassured me and fitted me in for surgery the day after my initial consultation, which was lucky due to timing just before the Xmas break. Thank you for helping me get out of this pain before Xmas.

This was my first experience of the Hillsborough Private Clinic and the staff were very professional, knowledgeable and welcoming. While this is an older style building is was well set out and immaculately clean and while I appreciate that space is at a premium a groundlevel toilet facility would be an asset as while I have no mobility issues I can see where climbing stairs to the bathroom could be an issue for some.
