I had a consultant review with Dr Shaikh for the re-initiation and titration of medication for a pre-existing ADHD diagnosis, and I was extremely impressed with the care I received. Dr Shaikh reviewed my previous clinical notes in a timely manner, which allowed him to offer me an initial appointment very quickly. He was attentive, professional, and took the time to fully understand my situation and reasons for seeking treatment again. He came across as highly knowledgeable and experienced in ADHD, and the discussion around medication options was clear, thorough, and informative. I felt listened to and supported throughout the consultation. Following the appointment, I received my clinic letter very quickly and was given the opportunity to suggest any amendments, which were addressed promptly. Dr Shaikh also provided a letter of support for education and employment without me having to ask, which was incredibly helpful and thoughtful. Overall, my experience with Dr Shaikh was excellent, and I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking an ADHD assessment.

I was greeted by an amicable, polite & efficient receptionist on arrival and shown to the waiting room where member of the theatre staff would come for me and explain what would happen next. Kate introduce herself and on knowing I have profound hearing loss made sure that I understood everything. She prepared me well with the required eye drops and made sure I understood the process that would happen in theatre. Having escorted me into theatre she introduced me to Mr Shafiq, the surgeon and the other theatre staff. Mr Shafiq is very approachable and explained clearly what was going to happen. During the procedure he talked me through what he as about to do and what I would see. He was very reassuring throughout the whole procedure which took about 10 mins. He explained clearly about the eye pad, the eye drops etc and Kate made sure that I had understood this before she escorted me to the waiting room. Overall, an excellent team and excellent care; even better than I'd expected because of my profound hearing loss.

Mr Rodriguez is very personable and explains everything clearly in non medical terms to you as the patient, ensuring that you are clear on what is causing your symptoms and the corresponding appropriate treatment path. You feel relaxed to ask any questions or for clarifications, and he encourages you to give your feedback to him in terms of being clear on the technical information he is providing, and without embarrassment, if you struggle with the medical complexities and need him to explain these again. I was very impressed by Mr Rodriguez both as an expert in his field and also in the kind way he interacts with you during your consultation. He was kind in personally taking me to show me where the MRI suite was in the Manor Hospital in order to book my MRI. You will be in safe and caring hands.

I first saw Mr. McKay over three years ago for a disc issue that was causing significant sciatic symptoms, at which time I received a spinal injection. More recently, I returned to see him regarding a (suspected) cervical neck issue as well as ongoing back pain. On every occasion, Mr. McKay has been extremely professional and has taken the time to explain everything very clearly and thoroughly. He makes complex issues easy to understand, which is incredibly reassuring when dealing with spinal problems. I’ve always felt listened to and never rushed. He is an excellent professional cardiologist. I am very grateful that he is my doctor. Also his secretary Laura Delton is supper efficient so I am delighted with him and his team.

She reassured me of my concerns; and she made it very clear that although FND can be considered psychologically driven its physical impacts are real therefore it’s also falls under neurological conditions. I have decided to continue working with Dr Alina to deep dive and search for solutions to my problems. Alongside working with her direction to find support for the physical symptoms associated with this condition.

Very good ,only thing is after surgery and just before final appointment I was asked for my bank details I had paid everything last Nov a month before my surgery they agreed everything was paid but wanted to have a bank card on record ,Why ? I was asked again when I went to see mr smith for my final check up ,absolutely no need if front of other people when I didn't owe anything it made me feel like I owed something even though she said it was a token just to have it on record

Prompt,efficient service to book appointment. Short waiting time as offered cancellation appointment. Slight wait for clinic review, but informed of 10 minute delay when we arrived. Only issue I would have is lack of patient parking at Mount Alvernia, and this is a particular issue when struggling with mobility!

Went in for a routine hernia operation, unfortunately I was rather ill after the op due to low sodium levels, I ended up staying in for 2 nights, should have been out the same day, treated with compassion by all staff all of the time.
