On arrival I waited in the reception area and there were already 3 other patients waiting for admission. The escort took the first one up and followed with the second and third. On his arrival back in reception he then disappeared through a side door. I thought he probably needed the bathroom but by the time it was 7.35 (and I had been waiting since 7am) I asked reception when I was going to be shown to my room. At which point he phoned the escort who then reappeared. When the nurse came to talk me through everything on admission I had to ask about the emergency call button. She had completely forgotten it and left it on the wall. When I came to put on my theatre gown one of the ties was missing at the neck I was told to just hold it Surely a hospital I am paying so much for can afford another gown?? I gave her my medication and she pushed it into the bedside cabinet and nothing further was done with it until I asked later in the day. I was amazed that the omezrapole had been missed off my medication list. I had to ask for it despite me going through all my medication at both pre- assessment (where I was told it was very important to take) and admission so it was all on the computer. Then, as they hadn’t been given my medication earlier in the day, the pregabalin had not been written up in time and was prescribed to start the following day (also see above about computer listings) I had to insist that I needed it that night. I was never asked if I wanted help to wash or shower so had nothing during my 2.5 days on the ward. And as I was tethered to the bed with a catheter I could not get to the bathroom on my own. Catering - staff were very pleasant but the menu seemed to be very rice based. Also it would have been nice to have a couple of tea/coffee rounds during the day instead of having to bother the nurses by pressing the emergency button to ask for a drink. I kept complaining how dry I was and had difficulty to even talk but I was never offered a saline drip. It took 3 days plus for this to wear off by drinking lots of water which in turn caused a lot of acid reflux from my hiatus hernia - something that has been ongoing since my discharge. The dry mouth also made it very difficult to swallow medication. Physios were very pleasant girls who walked me round the ward and gave me a leaflet about exercises but didn’t actually make me do even the simplest of them. On discharge I was fitted with a catheter. My discharge notes told me to go to a GP in 7 days for removal. Apparently GPs do not provide this service and when I phoned the ward for help the nurse was horrified that I had been given those instructions and that an appointment had not been arranged for me to go back to the Harborne. I am attending tomorrow so I will be interested to see if this all takes place. Overall this is the fourth private hospital I have been in and although the surroundings are probably the best I felt the 'in house' service was probably the worst. This is with the exception of the consultant, theatre staff and Claire (one of the night time nurses)

I was very impressed with the care and attention I received from Mr Mohanty. Not only did he check on me after my procedure, but he phoned the next day and then came in later that evening, even though it was his day off. Initially, after my procedure, I had a catheter fitted. However, when they removed it, I encountered difficulties passing urine. Mr. Mohanty allowed me to go home with a catheter fitted and arranged to see me in his clinic the following day. About 10.00 that next day, Mr Mohanty phoned me to check that I had all the information I needed to attend his clinic (as he hadn’t been on site when I was discharged) and was very welcoming upon my arrival. This appointment went as he had explained and I left hospital without a catheter a few hours later. Since my procedure, I have been very amazed at the level of care and professionalism Mr. Mohanty has shown to me - he has phoned a number of times to check on my recovery and shown interest in me as a person, remembering some key facts about my life. He is an excellent practitioner and I am grateful for what he has done.

Mr Barnick is an exceptionally charming, kind and talented surgeon. He listened carefully to all my medical concerns. Upon examination he diagnosed the problem and explained exactly where my prolapse was coming from and how it was affecting the bladder. Surgery was advised. I knew instantly that I had total confidence in him and elected to proceed. When my surgery had to be rescheduled ,as I became hospitalised with a serious blood condition, he liased with my haematologist and monitored my progress. The operation went smoothly due to his superb surgical skills. My prolapse has gone and the bladder has been repaired. I am now able to stand and walk without discomfort and pass urine normally. I will be forever grateful. Zoe his PA is delightful. She is incredibly efficient and extremely caring. Nothing was too much trouble and she helped me with my many queries before the operation. .

All of the staff at Nuthfield were so kind. Everyone was always smiling and being happy and kind to myself and my partner. From the receptionist who told us where to go and took us to our room. To the night nurse that checked us in to the room. I had multiple nurses come and check on me throughout the time I waited to have the cystoscopy. We were able to get food before and after. We arrived at 07:00 on the 27th, and I can't remember all the lovely people's names who helped us. My only slight criticism would be from arriving at the hospital at 07:00 the actual procedure didn't start till after 09:00 and this gave me lots of time to overthink the procedure. But I think that was a me problem and I also don't know how long these things take to check people in etc. So apologies if it is standard haha.

I have had both legs treated using both ablation and foam therapy. The whole process was fantastic. I was treated so kindly by my Dr and the lovely nurses. They explained everything and took great care of me, ensuring I was comfortable. The process was very quick and I felt little discomfort. I was informed of everything happening and lots of aftercare tips. I am so glad that I chose UK Vein Clinic for treatment, their care has been fantastic right from booking a consultation to now, just after treatment. I’m still in my stockings but I am looking forward to the progress over the next few months. Thank you so much.

We recently attended an appointment for nail removal with Tony Wilkinson. From arrival when we were greeted on both occasions by Dawn we had an excellent client experience. The premises are spotless. Dawn - the Receptionist on duty on both appiontments we incredibly friendly and took time to chat with my elderly mum to put her at ease. A great credit to the facility with lovely customer care. Mr Wilkinson was very informative and attentive during both appiontments - very professional. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Coriel Clinic.

I had an excellent experience with Dr Bhandari. He was very attentive and took the time to genuinely listen to all of my concerns. Dr Bhandari is extremely knowledgeable and explained the diagnosis and treatment plan clearly and in great detail, which was very reassuring. The echocardiogram and ECG was performed with great patience and care, with everything explained step by step. I felt well looked after throughout the appointment and treatment journey and would highly recommend Dr Bhandari.

My surgery has been so successful I can now walk steadily and much further, for several miles without pain. Mr Bell is very patient and communicative, I had plenty of time to ask questions in clinic. My other, milder narrowing at L4 is being managed conservatively and I can rest assured that it will be operated on only when it becomes absolutely necessary. My quality of life has improved tremendously and the doctor in my family has nominated Mr Bell for a greatly deserved award.

Whilst all staff were friendly and professional from the reception staff to the dentist. My appointment was 10 o'clock but I was not seen until 10:25 without any courteous apology or advise of the delay until I was in with the dentist. I appreciate that delays can happens with the treatment of the customers before me but a courteous apology and advice of the estimated wait would have been appreciated as my car was parked in a pay and display area.

Dr Rawlins was a true professional who explained everything in detail. He is clearly passionate about cardiology. Immediately I met him I felt at ease following some initial investigations with the cardiac nurse a few days before. I highly recommend Dr Rawlins following my visit today and would feel 100% safe in his care if a procedure was ever required. A true gem for the cardiology community!

I have worn Lyric aids for many years but struggled to get them locally after my audiologist decided that it wasn't cost effective for them to offer the service. I have seen David Gruhl twice for the same painful issue with my foot. On both occasions I found his examination and analysis thoughtful and logical, telling me what he was ruling out as the cause of pain and why, and what possible causes that left and what my options for treatment were. The first follow up clinic post operation was satisfactory and Professor Hindley answered several questions I had about my recovery . I think the recovery period was longer than I expected . I’m not used to taking things easy . A further consultation was scheduled for March when hopefully everything will be back to normal .
