Appalling aftercare!! In as an overflow NHS patient. Had major surgery. Nurse refused the doctors requests in the morning. When discharged later that day the nurse still refused what the doctor asked for. The doctor had to be firm in saying what the nurse had to do as it was on the surgeons notes! The nurse reluctantly did it in the end but only half a job. The nurse left ouzing burn scars after removing dressing and didn't tell me until i put my clothes on and the material was catching on them. My husband got him back and he said "Yes i saw that!". Did nothing or aplogise. No empathy at all. I had 2 nurses come to my home that evening to sort out the burns and dressing on my surgical areas . Nightime was very little aftercare. Catheter was overflowing in the night. No one seemed to know what was going on in regards to your medical notes. Food was appalling dried up and burnt. No snack trolley inbetween meals. Awful experience. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Was I treated differently because I was in there last request as an overflow NHS patient. I was meant to be going to Birchington ward for my recovery. A complaint will be going in! The doctor said twice to have medication prescribed to the nurse and he would not do it so I came home with no painkillers and was told to go to a chemist after major surgery. Lack of care. No bedside manners.

I just want to put on record what an absolute gentleman Dr Gall is. His natural ability to be so genuinely empathetic to me on my initial consultation, made me feel comfortable instantly that I had chosen the right consultant to help me with my problem and subsequent surgery . There was nothing that I didn’t understand along the way as he took as much time as was needed to put my mind at ease with everything that was ahead. On the day of the procedure Dr Gall had had an exceptionally busy day and I was the last on his list but he still spent a lot of time reflecting on the surgery even after a busy clinic. He explained the findings fully with no rush to get away despite it being 9pm by then. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Gall and have already recommend him to anyone who asked as he is clearly the leading consultant for a reason.

Dr Alex Hadley carried out implant procedures on me. He took the time to explain what was going to happen and reassured me when I had questions. My procedure was on the 7th November 2025, with an overnight stay, before being discharged. I can honestly say that it's been a life changing procedure. It's been a journey, before the procedure my life was depressing, up at night waiting to urinate, dripping before flowing and not emptying. Also I had two retentions both over 2.5 litres. Now I have a good flow, my bladder emptying, it's been a challenge to were I am now. Sleeping all night, still improving slowly . More confident in going out with friends and driving long distances without accidental urine embarrassing discharged.

I have been under the care of Mr Hamed since being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013. Mr Hamed is undoubtedly one of the nicest medical professionals I have been in contact with. He is caring, considerate and above all a real gentleman who listens to his patients concerns and gives them the reassurance they need to hear in sometimes quite difficult circumstances. I continue to see Mr Hamed for my yearly mammograms and follow ups which always makes me extremely anxious for the results, but I know I am in good hands with the best! Thank you Mr Hamed.

Mr Yazbek my consultant is a highly experienced and skilled specialist but more importantly a warm and reassuring practitioner who has made me feel I could not be in better hands. The nurse for my day care stay was also extremely kind, responsive and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this facility and staff unreservedly.

Came for a pre op, lovely staff and lovely pre op Nurse, however I was sent for bloods, I wasn’t asked if a trainee could take them, she tried twice which was painful, before the nurse then took them on the third go in my other arm. Totally understand the need for training however, I had made it known that I hated needles and was not a good person to practice on, I unfortunately got up feeling very dizzy and sick, which for me was unnecessary.
