I was referred to Newmedica Newcastle for eye cataract surgery by my optician. I had my first eye surgery done in September, and my second eye done in December. I received excellent service from all the Newmedica colleagues whenever I visited; for my pre-surgery consultation, the surgeries themselves, and the post-surgery visits. Those working on the reception were friendly and made me feel welcome. The waiting area was clean and tidy, with hot drinks available. The colleagues who did the testing, pre-surgery administration, and post-surgery follow up checks were all very knowledgeable. They took me through the surgery preparations, explaining the process as they went, putting me at ease and answering any questions. After surgery they made sure I was aware of what I needed to do over the following three weeks to ensure my eyes healed completely. The surgical team were very proficient, and I felt I was in safe hands. The procedure was explained at every step, putting me at ease. The consultant for my first procedure was Nicholas Wride. The procedure itself took just under 3 minutes, which I had not expected, as internet searches indicated it would take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes. I was so impressed and, as I was told I could have the same consultant for the cataract removal procedure on my second eye, I didn’t hesitate to ask for Nicholas Wride again. My second procedure was equally as expertly performed, and this time took 3 minutes 20 seconds. There was no pain during the procedures and only very slight discomfort straight afterwards. Other than the pain relief eye drops that were put in for the surgical procedure, I didn’t need to take any painkillers at all. The hardest part for me was remembering to use the post-surgery eye drops the clinic provided, as my eyes felt that good. Three weeks after surgery, I attended the clinic for post-surgery follow up checks. I was signed off from the clinic after the follow up check on my second eye. My vision is now excellent, and I only need to use reading glasses for small print. Before the surgery I wore varifocal lens glasses at all times. I wasn’t expecting the improvements in my sight to be quite so good, so I’m pleased I took up the opportunity to have my cataracts removed and really pleased that it was Newmedica Newcastle who did the procedures and looked after me and my sight so well. Diagnosis: The professionalism and expertise of both Professor Teo and Dr. Patel were evident. They took the time to thoroughly review my medical history, listen attentively to my symptoms, and conduct a series of comprehensive tests. The diagnostic process was meticulous, involving advanced imaging and laboratory analyses, all explained clearly, which left me feeling confident about my care. I was admitted as an inpatient for a couple of days, and my stay was exceptionally comfortable and reassuring. The modern hospital environment and top-notch facilities contributed to a positive experience. The nursing staff was attentive and highly trained, providing outstanding care around the clock. I appreciated their responsiveness to my needs, ensuring I felt comfortable during my brief stay. Daily visits from Professor Teo and Dr. Patel allowed me to discuss my progress and any concerns I had, reinforcing my sense of being valued and cared for. Following my inpatient stay I transitioned smoothly into outpatient care. My follow-up appointments have been invaluable, with thorough evaluations of my ongoing recovery. The clinic’s proactive communication, including test results, appointment reminders and prompt responses to my queries, has greatly supported my journey. They also provided me with educational resources to help manage my condition effectively. In conclusion, my experience at Cleveland Clinic London, particularly under the care of Professor Teo and Dr. Patel, has been exemplary. Their dedication to providing personalized and compassionate care, paired with their expertise, has made a significant difference in my ongoing recovery journey. I had worried previously about the need for this procedure, not knowing the risks and outcomes. However, the online information provided ahead of the procedure was detailed and comprehensive, so I knew exactly what to expect. I have known Mr Hemmerdinger for many years, and had confidence in his ability, so I was not at all worried on the day. He gave me so much time to reconsider and mentally prepare, that I worried about holding up his other patients! I really appreciated this. The procedure was not in the least daunting. It seemed to me like paintballing, with flashes of green light. There was no discomfort, apart from a headache from the pilocarpine drops administered in advance, and blurred vision for a while. I waited after the procedure for half an hour to allow time for recovery, after which the eye pressure had reduced. I was particularly reassured by access to the online advice again later, to double check what I should know, and to note and follow up any queries. My only query was promptly answered by email. In all, this was a very positive experience. I wait to learn whether the procedure was effective, but have no qualms now about repeating it in the future, if necessary.

I am writing this review to express my sincere gratitude to Mr Malik for the incredible results of my recent knee surgery. Before the procedure, I was struggling with a severely arthritic knee and a noticeable misalignment of my leg, both of which caused significant pain and impacted my quality of life. Mr Malik performed a total knee replacement using Mako robotic-arm assisted technology to ensure the highest level of precision in correcting my alignment. From the initial consultation through to the procedure itself, his expertise and professional manner gave me total confidence. The recovery process has been remarkably smooth—far better than I had anticipated. The outcome has been nothing short of life-changing; I now have an excellent range of movement in the joint with absolutely no pain. Perhaps most importantly to me, I am now able to walk completely naturally without a limp of any sort. I cannot thank Mr Malik enough for his skill and care. For anyone suffering from similar knee issues, I would highly recommend him and the robotic surgery route. It has truly given me my mobility back

Made typos on my medical documents several times regardless of me flagging they require updates Can’t schedule simple appointment times and check with people if they are available instead sending random meeting times which clash with my work On 3 occasions now I have tried to join a meeting to have no one there Even if I am having problems connecting and 2 mins late someone should be in the allocated slot waiting especially given the people you are meeting with are disabled All this titration has done is add extra stress to my life instead of helping anything I am now going through medication withdrawals because I have been unable to meet in my titration meetings regales of me flagging several times that these timings do not work with my work commitments and now I have extra stress and pressure on my life at an extremely stressful time Would not recommend this to anyone it’s taken me a whole year since my diagnosis to even get to this point and I am still being messed around

I had a really positive experience at The Harborne Hospital. I was greeted warmly on arrival and was actually seen before my appointment time, which was very much appreciated. My consultant Mr Leung truly listened to me and took the time to understand the full picture of how I’ve been feeling. He was extremely thorough, and for the first time in a long while, I left feeling hopeful — hopeful not only that my pain can be better managed, but also that I may finally get a clear diagnosis of what is actually happening to me. I really appreciated how carefully and thoughtfully everything was explored. Every member of staff I met was kind, professional, and supportive. The level of care and compassion shown throughout my visit was outstanding. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this service.

From start to finish Daye is intuitive and easy to use. I’ve done many online health tests prior to this but nothing compares to the level of service Daye provides. For clarity I did the full screen and purchased the 30 min nurse call. The sample is beyond easy to take and post. The results came back fast and were clear to understand, on top I was sent a beautiful kind email and was also offered a free call to over my HPV results. I didn’t use this but my 30 min call with the nurse was invaluable. I would have been happy to pay triple the price for the service I received. I will be 100% using Daye again and have already recommended to friends.

I first saw Dr Wright for a coil fitting 4 years ago, the building a facilities we're lovely and Sarah put me at ease straight away. She talked me through the whole process and was amazing during the procedure. 4 years later, my partner and I are considering trying for a baby, so I went back to Dr Wright for the removal. Her patient care is so refreshingly calm and personable; she's very good at what she does, having the perfect balance of care and speed. She's made what can be an uncomfortable/painful procedure, one that has been a positive experience for me.

Having now had the surgery, I am very impressed with the rate at which I have healed and the absence of the pain I had before. I am also surprised at the relatively small incision…..only 4.5 inches long and as I had no stitches, it is just a smooth line which will fade in time.
