The Joint Injection Clinic

I've seen the Joint Injection doctor twice, had two injections, and both were very helpful. The first visit was after I suffered some tissue injury to an arthritic knee and had some fluid removed and a cortisone injection, which gave me immediate relief and was the catalyst to me returning to exercise. I was having ongoing stiffness in the same joint and returned six months later. After consultation I chose to have a hyaluronic acid injection. This made a big difference to the pain, stiffness and function of my knee and has meant I am able now to properly rebuild strength on that side. Dr Thing is easy to talk to, and I felt he really supported what I am trying to do, which is to stay highly active and delay the point I will need surgery for as long as possible. He is very well informed and explained clearly the pros and cons of various approaches to managing arthritis of the knee. He is also skilled at what he does, the injections are ultrasound guided to ensure correct placement and both injections were painless.

I had a lumbar microdiscectomy at St Anthony’s and the care I received was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were incredibly kind, patient and attentive throughout my stay. In the post-operation recovery area, the Irish nurse who looked after me was especially wonderful. I’m so sorry I can’t remember her name — I was still a bit loopy after the anaesthetic — but she was unbelievably kind, gentle and reassuring at a moment when I really needed it. On the ward, Rose was also fantastic. She checked on me regularly, made sure I was comfortable, and was so warm and supportive. Her kindness made the first night after surgery much easier. Overall, the team at St Anthony’s made what could have been a very stressful experience feel calm and safe. I’m really grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend the hospital.

I recently visited the London Gynaecology Centre for an appointment with Ms. Mishra, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care I received. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at ease. I came back to see Miss Deans following having an X-ray guided steroid injection as a diagnostic way to see which operation on my right hand to do first . As always she was very kind and very quick to decide with her knowledge to go for the trapeziectomy first to my right thumb .As i have already had the operation to my left thumb which she did in March this year I obviously know what to expect and I have been very pleased with the outcome of this procedure and hope to be the same with my right thumb . I have now seen Miss Deans 5 times including the first operation as well as appointments and I always come away very happy with how things have gone she is always very understanding and listens to you and explains everything so that we understand .

Everything like clockwork, all the details and plan broken down and thorough explanation each detail of the of the plan going forward. Ir seems like a cente of excellence This creates a positive feeling of good vibes snd safe hands for a young fella going in for an operation Parking 20 feet from the front door is also a massive bonus for anyone using crutch’s for first time or those with restricted mobility m. Another plus . I would definitely recommend this hospital to friends

I have embarked on a course of treatment to eradicate a fungal infection from one of my big toe nails. Marion commenced this with surgery to remove the damaged and infected nail. I was a bit apprehensive, but Marion was really good at explaining everything and putting me at ease. The worst bit was the injection for the local anaesthetic. Removing the nail didn’t hurt at all, and even afterwards it wasn’t too sore. I would recommend Marion Yau’s clinic for her friendly and professional manner.

Dr Makwana was absolutely excellent. He listened carefully to my 15 year old son explaining his allergy issues and then to myself as I added bits in. He was thorough in his questioning and examination. He then gave us clear explanations, lots of very helpful advice and options about treatment. He did not push private treatments but gave us NHS options aswell. He was friendly yet professional. Would definitely return and would highly recommend, a very knowledgeable man.

The Staff were amazing, sadly I had bloods and collapsed, Margaret and her team was brilliant and got me back to normal. I can't remember all the details but I know they was very worried about me and jumped into action very quickly. They didn't let me go till I was better. Overall I got what I needed which is all that matters ultimately. Found it annoying to have to fill in yet another paper form when I’d registered online as requested via email the day before. Yet another different NHS portal - the third I have had to sign up to. Was also not happy to be asked for a credit card when I was there as a fully insured patient. I was told it was ‘policy’ but when I said I’d rather not it no longer seemed to be policy.
