Two consultations with Mr Herzog were very satisfactory. He was clear about wanting to make his own mind up about my problems rather than relying at all on previous views from others. I found that very reassuring. After an MRI scan he was able to talk me through in detail about all the issues, pros and cons etc. and outline options for the future. He made clear what would probably happen without intervention - something no one else had done previously. That made it so much easier for me to go ahead with an operation. The surgery went forward very quickly and successfully. I saw Mr Herzog before the operation and twice afterwards. His concern for my wellbeing was very obvious. Couldn't fault the hospital at all. It is clean, and a very welcoming environment, but of course is absolutely down to the people that run it. Every single member of staff I came across - whether in my pre op assessment appointment, or during my surgical visit - was incredibly kind, patient, and so easy to get along with. I have had few good experiences when it comes to hospital visits, but the two times I've been at The Lister Hospital, I have spoken to and laughed with so many workers. My nurse Rasheed was an absolute gem, and was brilliant with my family when they came to the room after surgery. Whether it was the nurse that helped me to the loo, the people on reception, the physio - every single person I interacted with made it such a calm and positive experience, their kindness will stay with me so thank you very much

The hospital is run like a well oiled ship. No need to be too early, as you have an appointment time and they will take you at that time. I went 30mins early, which was an extra 30mins of nervousness I brought on myself I could have done without! The staff are friendly and efficient. There are processes in place that give assurance that the hand over from nurse to surgeon and team are strict and everyone is on the same page as to who you are and what you are there for. The recovery was peaceful and friendly. And who doesn’t like toast and a hot cuppa after fasting for hours. My next appointment was delivered by email the very next day. I know I will be nervous going back, but it won’t be because I don’t feel I am in safe hands. Thanks to everyone who looked after me, from reception to consultant and everyone in between.

His attention to detail and genuine concern made all the difference and he ensured I understood every step of my treatment. The entire Pixie and Sera team was extremely professional from scheduling either online or by phone to reception at the clinic. They all ensured I was seen within minutes on my appointment days. Keep up great job! Suggestion - If we could get appointments and at least tests and labs done over the weekends. Maybe half days on Saturdays? It is hard for some of us to come on weekdays hence all my appointments had to be done late in the evenings. If I had an option for Saturday I would've preferred that than late in the evenings. Thank you!

Dr Harding was great. I felt I didn’t answer the questions correctly. With my brain fog, especially at the end of the day, I cannot always find ways to explain things so when asked how something made me feel I couldn’t find the words so said I do not know. If I had some of the questions before hand, I would be able to process and explain it all better. I feel I failed to tell him about how it impacts my daily to day life with fatigue, feeling dizzy, nausea, digestive issues etc.
