I am having treatment for macular and glaucoma problems at the Stanley Eye Hospital in Abergele but wanted to be reassured about the use of one treatment I was receiving at the hospital, in particular about the time period between injections which was causing my eyesight to deteriorate before the subsequent injection improved it again. I wanted to know if my eyesight would still return to the improved state although it had deteriorated in the meantime due to the time interval between injections. Mr. Mathews was able to reassure me that this would not be a problem and that a longer lasting drug would probably be offered to me at the Eye Hospital at my next appointment. Mr. Mathews is a genial and thorough gentleman who took the time to explain to me about my conditions, something that had not been explained fully to me in my previous consultations elsewhere. I was also reassured about my current situation and my prognosis. My consultation was relaxed and I never felt that I was being rushed. All Mr. Mathews's nursing and reception colleagues were extremely friendly, helpful and professional and I was put completely at ease before seeing Mr. Mathews. I was invited back by Mr. Mathews at any time in the future should I require more reassurance or an opinion on my current treatment at that time. I cannot overstate how satisfied I was with my experience at the NW Eye Specialist Centre. A huge "Thank you" to all the staff.

The Spire Wellesley is a quiet calm hospital. The facilities are always clean and well cared for, the staff attentive and pleasant. You can expect the path of your time with them to be fully and clearly explained and information of who will attend you, when and for what reason. You are prepared as soon as you arrive and surgery follows swiftly, which leaves you very little time to overthink or get anxious. I was never left worried, every member of staff introduced themselves and did whatever was necessary to reassure me and provide whatever was needed. It was all very quick and over before I knew it, for which I am grateful. You certainly will not be left hungry or thirsty, food is excellent, the selection is wide. My stay was relatively short, my surgery went well, my recovery and activity level after surgery good and whilst I could have stayed a 2nd night I was allowed to go home as there were no concerns. So I was on for a little over 24hrs altogether.

His manner was approachable and confident, and the efficiency was astonishing. Mr Armstrong is very professional, personable and liked by everyone I've encountered who works with him along my journey be that receptionists, nurses and the anesthesiologist team. His bedside manner is excellent and always asking if I need anything explaining further or if I'm happy with what's been discussed and decided on. He will give you the option to tell him your expectations and then tell you if it's surgically possible or not but ultimately the last say from what I understand is down to the patient. I wouldn't hesitate to book another surgery with Mr Armstrong if I wanted or needed it I feel 100% safe in his more than capable hands.

I was absolutely petrified about having my cataracts removed as, firstly, I instantly block when someone comes near my face and secondly, my mum ended up totally blind after having hers done and I was scared the same thing would happen to me. Mrs Prakash was absolutely wonderful, very patient and totally reassuring. Mrs Prakash put me at ease and did everything she could to make the entire procedure more bearable. Her bedside manner is second to none and I am so pleased I went to see her as I do not think anybody else would have got me on that table. Mrs Prakash is a true credit to her profession.

My husband was admitted for an ENT surgery with Mr. Greg McBride in Ballykelly. The host was exceptionally clean, tidy abd beautifully decorated for Christmas with trees, lights etc. All staff were so friendly from the reception staff right through to the wards and theatres. Special Thank you to Mr. McBride consultant, Manav Anaesthetist, and ward nurses Ciara, Jasmine, Charlene, Louisa, Nuala and HCA Rachel. Everyone was friendly and the place clean but one of the receptions in radiology was very load speak so you heard all her conversations and calls clear as day. You are asked to to arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment but I did have to do anything just wait long as I didn’t get in on time and I can only guess they ran late as two people arrived after and went in before me.

I attended the specer wing on Saturday the 1st of November 25 as I had a problem with my eye seeing purple spots i was given a full eye examination and the doctor said all looked ok with my eye so I went to my GP and with the headache thought it could be migrane.so I took some medication and glad to I feel much better. so thanks for the good service G owen
