All seemed to be going well and at the close of my appointment the consultant asked me to have a blood test done outwith the Cathedral Also he advised that I should make an appointment for the operating procedure downstairs at reception. Circa end of April When I went to the desk I was advised that the member of staff was off that pm and I would receive a call tomorrow Next day I contacted my surgery about the blood sample and test. Late on my surgery called back to advise they were not willing to arrange the test as they were not treating me I received no call from Cathedrai that day The next day I waited to on and called Cathedral Spoke to Clare a few times and essence of conversation was that all was on hold as consultant on holiday and not available till 17th February Also no progress can be made with blood sample and rest even although I asked them to read my consultation notes !!! So I could comment more however this is the essence of a mot disappointing situation after my consultation

My first appointment was arranged within a week. After my appointment I was offered surgery in exactly one more week. Everything was great, lovely facilities, lovely staff. Everyone was very friendly and constantly being offered coffee etc. On every occasion I was taken either on time or early. I was put at ease and everything was fully explained and what the best lenses for me would be, based on my history and interests. On the day of surgery, everything went fine and there was no pain whatsoever, merely a strange feeling as the surgeon did his stuff. Afterwards I was given advice re eye drops and aftercare and again all great. Everything was fine when I got home, merely discomfort and that soon passed. I had plenty of people checking and following up that all was well. Finally, I had a follow up visit after a few weeks and again everything was great and very professional and I was advised to see my optician and GP. Throughout my time, the service I received was first class.

I arrived circa 15min before my appointment time as requested and was greeted courteously by the reception staff before being lead to an examination room to undergo a basic check of my eyesight and health check/questionnaire. On retuning to the waiting area I was almost immediately greeted by Mr Bhargava. The consolation was just 5min after the appointment time, which is excellent. The consultation was thorough and very professional, Mr Bhargava has a very good manner and following questioning and examination explained all the parameters relevant to my condition. Mr Bhargava then went on to detail treatment and advice in a concise but detailed way covering all aspects very well. I left feeling that the visit was well worthwhile and that I had been treated well in all aspects of the consolation. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Bhargava to friends and colleagues.

When quarterly injections no longer worked for my condition, I was told surgery was my only option. A daunting prospect, particularly as I had never had major surgery before. I am so fortunate that I was referred to Mr Barazi. From the first meeting he asked detailed questions about my condition and listened to me. His calm, confident and personable manner instilled trust immediately. He took the time to explain the procedure, showing me examples and talking me through my MRI and CT scans, as well as preparing me for how I might feel post-surgery. My many questions were answered with infinite patience and continue to be as I recover. My life is returning to normal again, something I found hard to imagine a few weeks ago. Mr Barazi is an amazing surgeon, and a kind and caring human being. I cannot thank or recommend him highly enough.

This is truly a very pleasant clinic. All staff put you at ease and treat you very well. I had an upper endoscopy performed by Dr Craig Mowat. He is a really patient, polite and conscientious professional man who listened to my concerns and talked me through them. He was very thorough and suggested how I could relive my symptoms mean time until my procedure, which was only a few weeks later. He explained exactly what would happen. The experience was very calm and I was put at ease. Dr Mowat told me of his findings immediately after the procedure and called me to discuss biopsy results a couple of weeks later. The whole experience was calm and quickly put my fears to rest. Thank you very much for lifting a huge weight off my mind - I can now get back to enjoying life!

From the very beginning to the end, his professionalism, skill, and genuine care were outstanding. What really set him apart was his dedication. Niall came in every single day whilst I was in hospital to check on me, even on Sunday, which meant so much and was incredibly reassuring. He always took the time to explain things clearly, answer questions, and make sure I was comfortable and confident in my recovery. I felt truly looked after at every stage, and the standard of care was exceptional. I would highly recommend Mr. Sullivan to anyone considering hip replacement surgery. I have been with the practice for a number of years and have mostly been pleased with the experience. The only thing I have a problem with is that the staff of all kinds do not speak loudly enough. There is always a lot of noise from machines etc. and soft voices, and sometimes accents, make it difficult to understand., especially when it has a medical content. Also nobody seems to understand that they should make sure the patient is comfortable, as the chairs vary in design and all do not adjust when required. Otherwise I am pleased to have found the practice many years ago and have gone through a good few different staff members in that time, so the experience has been interesting, despite the stairs! I am lucky to have good teeth.

Hello I was very upset when the hospital charge me for XRAY in an NHS hospital that we have to be in the queue and don't get the private care. I had a fall in June 2024 and had an operation at RFH unfortunately the operation was not successful. I can't walk properly I am on a stick and have lots of pain. If I go to private is because I don't have any access to NHS but that doesn't mean that for diagnosis I need to pay while me and my family are paying a lot for taxes and don't benefit for our health when we need and are desperate. I also have been to another private consultant to find out what went wrong and if I can ever get better and can walk but they just charge me for consultation not XRAY in an all private clinic. Thank you

I found the system a little confusing, I wish an email went out explaining each step that would happen, but when I’ve emailed staff have always been extremely helpful. The lady that did my daughter’s assessment was very friendly and patient with her, she allowed for her to move around, have breaks and finish early. She also explained things well. The last that did the assessment with us to discuss our daughter was also very friendly and made us feel at ease. It was a long assessment, but she allowed times for breaks. We would often go off on tangents and she was always supportive of this, but also good at bringing us back round to the topic. I would highly recommend this service.

I arrived early, as I was expecting to be seen in time, but my appointment was late ~45mins. I had discussed on the phone that I wanted to see someone who is going to be helpful with discussing menopause and other related issues. I was paying for the appointment myself, so I had high expectations. Unfortunately the time with the doctor felt rushed and I felt not heard. I had done a lot of research on holistic menopause care, and I felt that the doctor wasn’t in the same wave length with me. I was just advised to go and read more on menopause in two different websites. Examination was fine and straight forward, but to be sure of the diagnosis I will need futher procedures.

Any correspondence I have had with Mr Turab Syed and also his secretary I may add, has been very professional, friendly & helpful. Although I have to say that where it stops!!! It has been a nightmare for me trying to get through to talk to someone at the front desk regarding follow up appointments for steroids injections etc.I have been put through to various people & end up talking to someone on a central line in Glasgow 😩 now I have to wait until April for an appointment😢 This system should be addressed!!! It would be a joy if more people were like Mr Syed. & also his very obliging secretary 🤗 Kindest regards Georgina P.

My experience with Professor Gwilym has been absolutely excellent, I never thought that my shoulder would ever be the same again after my cricket injury, but after having posterior shoulder stabilisation surgery it has returned to normal. I had my first implant procedure and although I was a little 'wary' of the procedure, Jeremy and his nurse could not have done more to put me at ease. The process really felt like nothing as long as the 2 hours allocated and today I received a follow up call (as promised) by their practise manager - I could only report that I have no negative after effects, no pain, no bruising etc.
