My consultant Hugh O’Kane was so lovely excellent communication skills empathy and he listened to me , which some consultants would need to have a refresher course on dealing with patients. The anaesthetist ( sorry i can’t remember his name an Indian gentleman again so lovely) and the nurses in theatre were all very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the sedation was not great effect but got through. Recovery nurse Alex’s was very attentive & had a very caring way . Transferred to ward 3 Bernadette the nurse and Sinead & Sarah ( hopefully I have the correct names) all excellent A really lovely friendly member of the catering team Gillian came to see if I would like something to eat at that time I did not , but she Came k later to check & made the most delicious toasted sandwich. I had buzzed for the nurse as I was in a lot of pain behind my left knee she gave me liquid paracetamol, the pain got worse i asked for the compression stocking to be removed, the problem was that the stocking had not been pulled up straight and therefore it had “ marked my ankle very deeply “ with the result that the circulation would have been effected. My leg felt “Dead or asleep “ I felt afraid but the staff where lovely, Hugh came to see me around 8.30 pm had a conversation with my son in England and the plan was to stay (but before this they where happy to let me go home Kelly the manager came to speak to me as this was no fault of mine they I asked “in a scenario such as mine was there not a plan B in place “ to which she responded “0 yes and a plan b c & d “ ) So thankfully the outcome was resolved, I was to stay Hugh would see me in the morning. The night staff Keira & a girl called you I’m think the other health care assistant was Sharon hopefully this is correct but all excellent care. Hugh came in to see me just after 7am very attentive,examined my leg, I said that the pain was not as severe as the night before & I was happy to go home, “to which he replied if your happy so am I “ ( if only more consultants had his way ) he said I was not to worry re the financial situation re the over night stay Over all I am glad that we resolved the situation.

had a right knee replacement with Mr. Sam Rajaratnam just over two weeks ago on 3rd November 2025, and what I had feared would be a difficult and painful operation turned out to be completely painless. Sam is extremely kind, patient and reassuring — perfect for someone as nervous as I was. I had delayed doing this surgery for a year and a half and even cancelled the operation twice before finally going through with it! Mr. Rajaratnam has built an outstanding team, including an exceptionally experienced anaesthetist, Dr. Barry Philips; a kind and highly competent nurse consultant, Ms. Christine Howis; and an excellent senior physiotherapist, Felicitas Gatti, who visits me at home to guide my post-operative exercises. I was also extremely impressed by all the medical staff at the Cleveland Clinic hospital, who provided exceptional care throughout my stay. Whilst at the Cleveland, Sam visited me daily, and even came in today after my staples were removed to check on my progress. Mr. Rajaratnam’s expertise is evident—he has performed over 7,000 knee replacements—and the level of care and support I received was extraordinary. I was expecting a significant increase in pain once the stronger medication stopped a week after surgery, but to my surprise, I remained completely pain-free. I am extremely grateful to Sam and his wonderful team. I’ll be back for my other knee as soon as I’m up and running again!

As a Nervous patient about to have an Extraction..I was sitting In the waiting room Dreading every second The Receptionist was very nice and made me feel at ease Then after a very short wait ..the time had come for me to face my Fears.. As I sat in the chair the procedure was explained to me in full and the Dentist really made me feel Comfortable and at ease .. The first Extraction had taken place without me even being aware ..so no pain whatsoever Time for the second Extraction.. The Dentist asked me to rinse my mouth And I promise the second Extraction had already been carried out without me being aware ..completely pain free ..the dentist advised me that she should carry out a filling to another one of my teeth ..I was a bit reluctant..she cleaned the area and what I can only describe as her massaging the affected tooth the filling was carried out successfully.. I have a follow on Appointment in January And can Honestly say ..im looking forward to it Oh and to add ...when the Anesthetic wore off I experienced no pain or Discomfort whatsoever..and less than 24 hours later I sat down and enjoyed hot coffee With no Discomfort.... I can't thank you enough for your Treatment..and after 64 years ..im no longer a Nervous Patient Thank you

I've seen the Joint Injection doctor twice, had two injections, and both were very helpful. The first visit was after I suffered some tissue injury to an arthritic knee and had some fluid removed and a cortisone injection, which gave me immediate relief and was the catalyst to me returning to exercise. I was having ongoing stiffness in the same joint and returned six months later. After consultation I chose to have a hyaluronic acid injection. This made a big difference to the pain, stiffness and function of my knee and has meant I am able now to properly rebuild strength on that side. Dr Thing is easy to talk to, and I felt he really supported what I am trying to do, which is to stay highly active and delay the point I will need surgery for as long as possible. He is very well informed and explained clearly the pros and cons of various approaches to managing arthritis of the knee. He is also skilled at what he does, the injections are ultrasound guided to ensure correct placement and both injections were painless.

The entire Pixie and Sera team was extremely professional from scheduling either online or by phone to reception at the clinic. They all ensured I was seen within minutes on my appointment days. Keep up great job! Suggestion - If we could get appointments and at least tests and labs done over the weekends. Maybe half days on Saturdays? It is hard for some of us to come on weekdays hence all my appointments had to be done late in the evenings. If I had an option for Saturday I would've preferred that than late in the evenings. Thank you!

I was told to report to the Heart Centre, which I did, then tried to catch the attention of the only staff member I could see who was someone eating her breakfast from a bowl. The encounter was not welcoming or friendly. I was told to go downstairs to a different door, with no sign on. When I did finally find the right place the nurse was very friendly and kind, and everything went very well after that. The nurse and the consultant were very good in all they did. My letter of admission insisted that I was 'nil by mouth' so I arrived at the hospital thirsty and hungry. When there I was informed that in fact I could eat and drink whatever I wanted- that there was no restriction. I wish I had been informed correctly in the first place.

I visited Dr O’Dwyer for seizures that had been misdiagnosed as panic attack attacks for many years. I felt that he was the first doctor in 30 years to actually listen to me having been completely let down by the NHS. He is a very kind man, really listens, and doesn’t rush you so you have plenty of time for your brain to remember all of the relevant details. He was very thorough, read all of my notes that I had sent through, asked sensible questions and treat treated me like an equal human being. There is so much more I could say but he is a 10 out of 10 doctor and I would recommend him to anyone who has any neurological problems.

Couldn't fault any of the staff here, all very welcoming, comforting and professional, made me feel at ease at all times and nothing was too much trouble. I ended up with a few complications from my surgery due to my body not at all accepting the procedure and amount that had been done but the staff and my consultant Mr Harley were on top of it literally immediately. Due to not being a straight forward healer they insisted an open door policy at any time day or night if any concerns. The hospital is very very clean and all policies and procedures are followed to the tee. Honestly a brilliant experience all due to them!

After I got a PCO in my left eye I needed laser surgery. I had not been told this was common after Lens replacement by the opticians who did did that surgery so I was very worried about my sight.
