The whole referral process was a bit of a mess with little communication, so what could have been a 4-8 week wait-time was actually turned into 3-4 months. I understand though that since my original referral skylight had an influence of applications, but mine got put aside without talking to me because of problems with my GP. When I originally contacted them after 8 weeks to get some information I was told not to contact again and then if anything was needed from me someone from skylight would reach out. So I wait, and heard nothing. When I finally contacted them again, close to the 4 months mark, I got told my referral still hadn't been processed because of a mistake from my GP and them not answering Skylight's emails/phone calls. I had to keep contacting both skylight and my GP to get this sorted until finally someone who could give me a bit more help and information helped get it sorted then and there. I cant fault skylight too much though, right after that everything went smoothly and they have been really informative on the rest of the steps. I just wish in future they contact the patient right away if it happens, rather than wait for the patient to contact them.

My appointment letter didn’t explain about an X-ray that they wanted, so my concern was that I would be late for my appointment with my consultant. When I did see him I was more than pleased how the consultation went. Couldn’t have gone better. The gentleman concerned a Mr Fawdington was the perfect gentleman. Showed complete confidence in what he was explaining to me & my son. Answered all our questions fully. Didn’t rush us. He left us feeling completely positive & confident in his plan. Also explained to us about services that were available to me should I need them. Something neither of us had thought about. A truly exceptional gentleman. Thank you.

I couldn’t find where I needed to go at first due to the CT scanner lorry being in front of the hospital sign and no other sign and map showing where the Spencer hospital was. When I did find it and after filling in my paperwork I had to go to the fracture clinic where my appointment was. There were no signs to say where to sit (a simple sign saying Spencer hospital patients please wait here would have helped). A lot of patients were wandering around aimlessly trying to work out where to go. It took those of us that had worked it out t tell them. I waited over half an hour for my appointment (I know things get behind and different patients need longer).

My initial appointment was to have a checkup to explore the feasibility of having veneers placing over my existing top row of front teeth. I was so impressed with everything that was done from the first visit to the finl fitting visit. Everything that was done was explained to me in fine detail. The owner of the practice, Stephen Dodd, is the ultimate professional. I guess you would call him a Supreme Dental Technician!!! His staff were super friendly and went out of their way to make you feel comfortable and at ease. I was so so pleased with the end result of visits and I would highly recommend the prctice.

I was concerned about my dental appointment as I had to have some parts of a root removed.. I couldn't believe how comfortable Mr Yasin El-Wajeh made me feel. He explained everything so well and assured me I wouldn't feel any discomfort. He was right and completed my surgery so quickly and efficiently. I honestly thought he was just starting when he told me that he'd successfully finished my surgery. An amazing dental experience and I would recommend this surgery to anyone . He pays great attention to any changes in the patient's health between clinics, and, to any test results he organised for the patient between clinics. The result is that I have always feel at the end of the clinic that my health is being expertly managed and achieving the best possible outcome. Dr. Raj produces detailed clinic letters to my GP and clearly defines my current health situation and any next steps to be undertaken. I could not be in better hands.

From my initial consultation Miss Rudarakanchana gave me confidence that she would perform the procedure successfully which, indeed she did.

Dr. Wisam Alwan

Dr Wisam Alwan was absolutely fantastic! Our 6 year old daughter had a skin issue behind her right knee which has been causing her distress over the last 9 months, and Dr Alwan diagnosed it immediately and recommended a treatment to help. He put us all at ease and was super friendly, even to our toddler. He’s highly knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. I definitely recommend seeing him for any dermatology concerns. Miss Safina Ali

Miss Ali removed a small cancerous lump from my neck in April 2024. She did a great job of the surgery, I hardly felt any pain in the incision afterwards and you have to look carefully to see the scar. I was impressed by her manner. She was very professional and efficient, but with a human touch. She inspires confidence, which is justified. If I ever have an ENT issue again, I will make sure to see her. I would recommend her without hesitation.

The radiographer was very good. I had another short wait to be recalled by the Consultant for my follow up appointment. A very pleasant experience.
