Firstly I want to say a huge thanks to the nightingale in general. I’m struggling to put into words quite what an impact this place has had on me. I am healthier in body and soul. I have felt heard and seen. I have grown. I both realise how validly difficult some of my lived experiences have been whilst simultaneously learning from others just how lucky I am. I want to give a particularly big shout out to everyone involved in cleaning and maintenance to help this crumbling building also grow along side us. I also want to shout out all of the staff on floor 4. Again I am lost for words as to express how much of an impact they had on me as a human. Particularly shout out to nana for always being present and warm and sharing music with me. To Nordia for reminding me to put my health first. To Anna for just ALWAYS taking good care of me. To Mohammed for sharing how my soul works with kind words. To everyone who took me out for escorted leave to feel less boxed in and had a laugh and helped me feel like a real individual with a voice. All of this being said I know that there are still some things that run a bit deeper, more systemic, that need to be changed. My experience with Bloomfield Health began with a sense of optimism. The initial consultations were positive, and I felt hopeful. However, over time, I began to feel a consistent pressure, with expensive treatments mentioned in what felt to me like a casual upsell. This feeling was compounded by administrative issues. In my experience, a key diagnostic tool was technically faulty, and a request for a simple medico-legal report became a convoluted and distressing ordeal. When I challenged the scope and validity of the resulting invoice for this report, my concerns were not, in my view, handled constructively. Instead, I experienced what I can only describe as administrative harassment and threats of debt collection. The relationship concluded with a safeguarding referral being made without my consent, despite my capacity being clearly documented in my notes. Ultimately, my experience was one where commercial and administrative priorities appeared to take precedence over patient-centric care. A deeply regrettable and distressing chapter.

I’ve been struggling with dry eyes for over a year and honestly didn’t know what to do or where to turn. Finding the Dry Eye Centre has been such a relief! Mamta Trivedi is amazing, so knowledgeable, caring, and thorough. She took the time to explain all the treatment options and put together a plan that’s really working for me. I’ve already noticed a big improvement and finally feel hopeful again. The machinery and technology they have is out of this world, it’s incredible to see how advanced the treatments are! Jo-Anna at reception is also lovely always so welcoming, friendly, and organised. I can’t recommend the Dry Eye Centre enough. The combination of expert care, cutting-edge technology, and genuine kindness from both Mamta and Jo-Anna makes such a difference.

He explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and gave a straightforward plan for the next steps. It was a genuinely reassuring appointment — I left feeling informed, supported, and hopeful. I would highly recommend Dr R. Staff were all great and very friendly and professional at all times. The only issue I had is with the openness with prices. The initial consultation and then the procedure prices were given up front and very openly. But after the procedure I was just told to book in for a follow up consultation which at know point did anyone mention the additional cost of this. £175 I feel this should have been mentioned or put into the price for procedure

The treatment received at Spire hospital was excellent. The booking procedure however was not. Booking via Vitality led to my details not being set up and me having to call a central call centre (which did not have a clue) to arrange follow up treatments. I actually raised a separate complaint about this as the process was clearly not working as well as it should which is a shame as the hospital itself is good.
