The size, shape, symmetry and softness are everything I hoped for and more. I feel lighter, more confident, and genuinely like the best version of myself. Couldn't fault the hospital at all. It is clean, and a very welcoming environment, but of course is absolutely down to the people that run it. Every single member of staff I came across - whether in my pre op assessment appointment, or during my surgical visit - was incredibly kind, patient, and so easy to get along with. I have had few good experiences when it comes to hospital visits, but the two times I've been at The Lister Hospital, I have spoken to and laughed with so many workers. My nurse Rasheed was an absolute gem, and was brilliant with my family when they came to the room after surgery. Whether it was the nurse that helped me to the loo, the people on reception, the physio - every single person I interacted with made it such a calm and positive experience, their kindness will stay with me so thank you very much

My original appointment was with Mr Kamran Saha, as it was thought that I had a which Mr Saha confirmed it was not but rather a cyst. As this was not his expertise, he referred me to Miss Swan Kang who confirmed it was a cyst and arranged an excision. During the procedure Miss Kang noticed a second cyst next to the big one which she also removed and sent both off for biopsies. Amazingly 6 days later there are no visible signs of any incisions apart from some slight redness in the area. I am super happy with the results and grateful to Mr Saha for referring me to Miss Kang. I was also very impressed by Robyn for taking care of all the underlying preparations for both consultations and the minor op which took less than 2 days to complete!!! Kudos to Robyn for managing everything so swiftly and efficiently.

Earlier this year, I visited Self London for UltraClear Laser Therapy to treat pigmentation from years of sun damage and melasma. From the moment I arrived, the team made me feel completely supported and cared for. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail were exactly as I expected from Self. The aftercare was outstanding — the team checked in with me every day for the first five days to make sure my skin was healing well, and I returned a few weeks later for a follow-up to review my progress. I was also recommended a simple post-treatment skincare routine that I’ve continued using because it works so well for my skin. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Self London to friends and family. Such a lovely team with real expertise, and the results have been fantastic.

My visit to Dr Paul Farrant was just as I'd hoped. I'd selected him to carry out a skin check, based on his high rating in the Brighton area from reviews I'd checked, as well as his qualifications. This was my first skin assessment ever and, at 74, was really later than it might have been! Happily nothing serious was found, but I was advised on a skin maintenance programme which i will adopt going forward. I want to age healthily, and this approach will help me do so. I will return every 2 years from now on for a regular check with Dr Farrant. Highly recommended. (He has very nice skin, by the way, which is encouraging :) :) )

Received urgent call requesting blood test for tolerance to Dye. I Moved appointments for that afternoon to facilitate a flying visit. After arrival kept waiting for 35 minutes until I asked reception as was needed elsewhere and was told phlebotomist would be with me shortly. With Phlebotomist approx 3 minutes, total time 50 minutes and 50 miles traveled Then had to wait 9 days for scan which was only scheduled following chase-up from private GP. On presenting for CT Scan was told that they did not require blood test as procedure did not indicate use of dye. Most unimpressive communication and administration throughout

Matthew Perry is an exceptional surgeon and consultant. Everything was fully explained before my operation and found him very patient and informative. Most importantly, the outcome post operation has led me to be back to normal duties after just 1 to 2 weeks. I feel full of confidence that my treatment means I have rid of my prostate cancer and look forward to living a healthy and prosperous life. My wife and I cannot thank Mr Perry and his PA, Hazel enough for the care and treatment that I have been given. I truly have been saved and with no nerve loss or any urinal issues.

I visited Mr Natt this week after experiencing tightness in my throat. He took the time to ask thorough questions to understand the issue and carried out a nasal endoscopy to investigate further. Throughout the procedure, he explained everything clearly, checked that I was comfortable, and showed genuine concern for my wellbeing. When the issue became visible on the screen, he carefully explained what was happening in a way that put my mind at ease. Mr Natt was kind, professional, and attentive from start to finish. I felt very well cared for and would highly recommend him.

Initial assessments were thorough and the clinicians were kind and understanding. Prescription costs seem affordable and my first prescribed medications were a slight improvement to before. My second prescription was not approved/provided on time and rationing medications/running out for a few days has caused some stress I had bad withdrawal/negative wellbeing from being requested to stop a previous medication, I feel this was somewhat unavoidable but I was not informed of what to expect stopping that med and left to work out the cause of the feelings on my own

I had a follow up appointment for more YAG Laser treatment. Upon entering Cathedral Eye Clinic you are greeted by very friendly and helpful staff at reception. Thereafter I had very detailed tests carried out by a female Optometrist who is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Finally I had further tests and this was followed by the laser treatment by Mr Best who exudes absolute professional brilliance and is very reassuring explaining everything in detail. A truly excellent experience and I can recommend their fantastic care to anyone.

Professor Dhanwant Gomez

Professor Gomez was decisive in his diagnosis of my condition. He was honest but clear and helpful about the extent of my hernia and the need for open surgery under general anaesthetic. He carefully explained the risks and future prognosis after repair. He gave me confidence that he was the right consultant and surgeon for me. His letter to my GP was an exemplary explanation of the consultation.
