I had a facelift and blepharoplasty under twilight anaesthesia a week ago and want to share how delighted I am with the whole experience. I do not react particularly well to general anaesthetic and sometimes my blood pressure drops dramatically , but this was actually quite pleasant. I got to lie down under a nice warm blanket and drifted into what I felt was a short nap. In reality it was 4 hours later and Mr Britto had done his magic. I was soon able to eat a light meal and to go home a couple of hours later. There was no “hangover “ feeling . It is a pity that this type of anesthesia is not used more widely. My dressings were removed today and I am looking forward to seeing the final result once the swelling has subsided.

As a family our experience of Luxe Psychology Practice has been excellent. Jade developed instant rapport with my daughter who initially needed help for separation anxiety. My daughter really engaged with Jade during her weekly sessions and we were able to apply a number of practical coping strategies that were child friendly. Jade was able to put my daughter at ease and make the sessions both fun and practical whilst teaching emotional regulation strategies. Over the course of my daughter’s sessions Jade has always been professional, supportive and has always made to time to ensure we as parents know exactly how we can best support our child. I would highly recommend Jade and Luxe Psychology Practice.

Eyelid bcc was excised carefully and I was also offered a bletharoplasty of the other eyelid for balance. Excellent work and hardly a mark six years later. Recalled regularly since the operation to check that there was no recurrence. No need to chase my recalls, they happened smoothly and automatically. Mr Woodruff also referred me back to dermatology for what proved to be a further couple of bccs on my neck. I have now been fully discharged from Mr Woodruff’s care, but told to return if further issues in the same area. Mr Woodruff is a very pleasant approachable surgeon whom I have now been hesitation in recommending.

I have been to see Miss Bowring and Miss Evans for abnormal bleeding which was solved by the insertion of a Mirena coil. Unfortunately, the Mirena coil became dislodged (because of separate medical issues) and needed removing and reinserting. I trusted Miss Bowring and Miss Evans with my care and felt well informed and supported from beginning to end. In addition, their PA, Jemma, is knowledge and extremely helpful - she went above and beyond to help me when I encountered issues with my insurer. I cannot recommend London Gynaecology enough - 11/10!

I had the privilege of being treated by Prof. Allam, who quickly and accurately diagnosed me with Superior Canal Dehiscence Syndrome, a rare condition. I chose to undergo surgical repair, and from start to finish, Prof. Allam was exceptional. He explained the risks clearly, answered every question with patience, and made time to reassure me and check on my progress. His care during this major surgery and throughout the recovery was truly outstanding. I’m now completely symptom-free, and I couldn’t recommend Prof. Allam and his team more highly.

Mr Nita explained the pros and cons of knee replacement surgery to me very clearly and honestly. So I understood what to expect in terms of the level of pain to be expected particularly in the first 2 weeks, but more importantly that after the operation, a good recovery is down to me doing the recommended exercises regularly. Because of his knowledge and experience he inspired confidence in me to proceed. Eight days in, I am very hopeful taking all this on board that the operation will make a massive positive impact on my quality of life.

Fit2function is the best physio clinic I have visited. As a sportsman, physio is an important part of my routine for both rehab and prehab. Many of the clinics I have attended don’t accommodate sports and return to play. My experience at Fit2function was great. I saw Harrison, who is an ex athlete and understood my needs well. The equipment is modern and top of the range, and the philosophy is very aligned to returning to sport and having the best possible outcome. I would highly recommend them.

I have recently had a pre- op assessment and two cataract operations with Miss Gilvarry being the surgeon. I cannot fault the entire process. Miss Gilvarry is an accomplished explainer and empathises with the patient. She has a great team backing her up as well. The two operations she performed were completely painless and as far as I am aware, perfectly successful (I am writing this only one day after the second of the ops). I cannot recommend Miss Gilvarry highly enough!

He was extremely attentive, calm, and patient with my little boy, explaining everything clearly and giving us helpful advice. You can tell he truly loves children and is passionate about his work. The consultation was thorough, and the atmosphere in the clinic was pleasant and welcoming. I highly recommend him to any parents looking for a professional and compassionate pediatrician!

The facilities are at an excellent level, clean and well presented. Ensuite rooms with bathroom/changing room in the outpatients consulting rooms. Overall welcoming and good environment especially as its a Hospital.

I was at the clinic for a 6 weeks post surgery appointment. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. I saw Kevin Bryceland. He showed me the xray of my new hip, explained the surgery and checked my progress. He was happy to answer any questions and explained the next steps. While it was busy in the clinic, Kevin took time to listen and I didn't feel rushed in any way.

Initially I went to the London clinic hospital, but was redirected to the correct building.. Again, slight confusion for me in Filling in the registration form, which I then failed to hand to the consultant. I was again not sure where to wait as clinic D and E are on the same floor. This was all resolved by having an excellent interview with my chosen consultant

Dr. Giovanni Luigi De Maria

Dr.Giovanni Luigi De Maria was very clear in explaining his considered opinion of the cause of my heart pains, shortness of breath and tightness of chest. He then explained the 2 possible ways to deal with the problem. After agreeing to submit myself for a coronary angiogram he promised to try and arrange this quickly, probably within 3 or 4 weeks.
