I have had Cataract operations to both eyes January-March 2025. Things didn't start well when the Surgeon, in a 'telephone consultation' with me, committed to a price for the new lenses I would get. This was later overruled by the Management who told me the Surgeon didn't have the authority to agree a price with me. So I had to pay quite a bit more than I was originally told. As in some £400 per eye more. Amusing to observe how the 'care' (on the NHS, but sub-contracted to this private business) was promoted as being 'Exactly the same as Private Medical Care'. Oh no it wasn't ...it was much better. Once I was flagged up as 'potentially suitable for a PRIVATE operation' using Implants that were 'Not available on the NHS' I was treated very different. Previously done examinations were repeated 'to be sure'. Does that mean they are not sure if you are a NHS Patient? ;). Additional examinations 'not available on the NHS' were done. Am I being unfair? A short review would just say this: *Generally excellent professional friendly staff. * Medical care excellent. But.... Appointment waiting times need reviewing - I have always had to wait at least 45 min, sometimes more than on hour, before being seen. Why? If you depend on a relative or friend to drop you off and pick you up it sometimes got a bit difficult: Is this appointment going to take 30 Min, or 4 hours? Nobody knows. Admin/organization sometimes a bit confused - Why did I get an email survey for my right eye, and not for my left? Waiting in the corridor between different checks in different rooms a bit of a hit and miss - staff running around, folders being handed over, people sitting and waiting being missed, the order in which things were done got a bit confused sometimes, patients reminding passing nurses that others who arrived after them were seen before them. But all with good humor! But, in the end, I can see excellent again with both eyes - and that is what is really important.

I had my varicose vein scan with Louis and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the start, he made me feel relaxed, comfortable, and confident that I was being properly looked after. Louis explained everything in a really easy-to-understand way and talked me through the scan as it was happening, which helped put me completely at ease. The ultrasound was very thorough, and it was clear he really knows what he’s doing, nothing felt rushed, and he took his time to check everything properly. What I appreciated most was how calm and reassuring Louis was throughout the appointment. He made sure I understood what was going on, what the scan showed, and what the next steps might be, without using complicated medical language or making it feel overwhelming. The whole appointment felt professional but friendly, and I left feeling informed, reassured, and confident in the advice I was given. If you’re feeling nervous about having a varicose vein scan or don’t know where to start, I would 100% recommend seeing Louis. You’re in very safe hands.

This whole experience has been rubbish. One of the questions asked if I had ever had polyps, which I had but 15 years ago, and because I clicked yes, recommended me as not suitable for screening...a lot can happen in 15 years, and it didn't ask me how long ago it was. The form was clunky to use and complete. In the results letter it said if I still wanted screening despite my results, to go to my results page. However when I went to that page it gave no options to select screening. It showed a Submit button on the results page, but would not let me proceed as I had not selected a service, however there were no services to select. The results letter gave me a link asking for feedback, either a quick survey or a detailed survey. When I clicked the detailed one it came up with an Error404 message. When I clicked the quick survey, it asked me questions about recent visits, were the staff friendly, was the practice clean etc, instead of asking any questions about my experience with the recent cancer screening survey...they were completely irrelevant.

Una is the best dentist you can find in London. She builds a truly personal relationship with her patients because she genuinely cares. From the moment you walk in, you feel safe in her hands. She is incredibly gentle and patient, and if you have any dental anxiety, she makes it completely disappear. She is also my 6-year-old son’s dentist, and she is the only one who has ever managed to get him comfortably into the dental chair with his mouth open. She is absolutely wonderful with children. Una is highly educated, very experienced, and trained to the latest standards. Her new practice is beautifully equipped with brand-new, state-of-the-art technology, located right in the heart of the city. I couldn’t recommend her more highly. Jasmine P

I saw Mr Ho following some concerns I had with one of my eyes after cataract surgery carried out by a different surgeon. Mr Ho was very thorough in his approach and identified that I had some tears in my retina which needed repairing fairly urgently. He performed a vitrectomy (retina repair) the same day and following a few weeks recovery my eye is now fully healed. I can't recommend Mr Ho enough, his manner with patients is excellent, he fully informs you as to what he plans to do and why and his aftercare is excellent. I'm very glad I engaged him when I had a problem with my eye and wish I'd had him do the cataract surgery in the first place.

Booked an appointment and was seen 2 days later. Dr Chopra was very friendly, took a case history and examined my skin condition. He made suggestions as to the cheapest course of action, which he personally wouldn't have financially benefitted from, which showed real integrity as a doctor. I went ahead with a biopsy, which was quickly and skilfully performed, and dissolving sutures were deliberately used as to save me from needing a return visit, thus reducing costs and time. Dr Chopra clearly cares not only about his patients but also seeks to provide medical attention in the most cost effective manner for his patients.

Welcoming and helpful. Only one lift was working and the remaining one was noisy and slow but there was a notice advising of this. The coffee machine in wait area was out of order Reception staff were kind and helpful but sometimes difficult to understand accent. One set of chairs in a sub waiting area was under a shelf which meant I knocked my head. Appeared clean and efficient and was quiet on day of my visit. Preoperative bloods were done straight after consultation which is very good and in fact results appeared next day. That's good service. Overall allowing for things that happen a positive experience.

I was impressed at how quickly I was treated. Getting an X-ray of my injured shoulder immediately on my first visit and MRI a week later. Mr Adam explained everything very clearly, and sent a written summary. At my third consultation. He administered an injection which helped me have greater mobility of my arm and reduced the pain. This was followed up by a visit to the physiotherapist who gave exercises to strengthen my upper arm muscles. I was impressed with the friendly, efficient and professional service received from all the staff involved in my treatment, as well as by the clear explanations given.

Having been terrified to get my cataract done, I did a lot of research and found Ed Casswell in Nuffield in Brighton . From our first meeting I liked Ed, he’s professional, friendly and very experienced! As I hate anything to do with eyes I asked for deep sedation and he was fine for me to have this, which was marvellous as I was completely knocked out during the whole process . Recovery was good and I could see out of my new lens straight after the op . Recovery was smooth and no pain at all . I will need the other eye doing sometime in the future and I will definitely be using Ed .

Had the most amazing time at Abbington House, was exactly what I needed. Was immediately made to feel welcome by staff and clients, everyone has been so warm, friendly and non - judgemental. Food was excellent and the chef Marion was amazing at catering for everyone’s individual needs. I’ve gotten so much out of the groups and one on one sessions. After 28 days I feel like I have been given an amazing framework to take with me on the outside and have met a community that will stay with me throughout the rest of my journey. Nurse Becky was charming and reassuring and relaxed me prior to Mr Khans arrival. Very efficient and easy process, Mr Khan explained exactly what he was going to do and once the initial pain of the injection was passed the whole process was painless. I have not had any problems with the 2 wounds in my foot and am looking forward to removing the pads and applying the smaller dressings. I currently have none of the throbbing continuous pain that I have been experiencing for years Thank you it is such a relief.

On my order I specifically asked for CAPSULES of paracetamol not Tablets. The turn around was quick but I realized when receiving 3 boxes of tablets no care had been taken to check the medecine. When I asked for a return label they asked for photos and description of the packaging of which I cant do . I'm over 90 and not familiar with taking photos and being a simple mistake in product I didn't understand. I will never use these people again and wil never recommend them. My order #

The actual visit with dentist (Simon Robertson) was at is normal excellent standard by explaining what dental work was required to resolve the situation of which he completed explaining each task as he progressed with no drama or problems. The total experience was highly professional and would recommend this practice to anyone

As I reflect back on my experience it was beforehand a total roller-coaster of events, from having a CT scan without contrast with then waiting another year before I was under Dorchester hospital and Mr Afzal, identifying a tumour. Mr Afzal alongside the other tremodus staff, nurses and my own GP Dr French has saved my life. I will always be grateful and continue to make many memories with my family amd new grandchild.
