Mr Ian Hunt is a supremely skilled surgeon and a truly lovely man.  I have a complex history of severely painful rib issues that have required surgical intervention, and he has managed my case with compassion and care. He was the first clinician to take my pain seriously and commissioned the diagnostic imaging that confirmed his strong suspicion that I had slipping rib syndrome.  Because Mr Hunt works closely with the world's leading rib imaging specialist, Dr Ali Abbasi, he is able to gauge exactly how ribs move in real time and to propose the best course of action to manage them. Only a year ago, things would have looked very bleak for someone like me with recurrent symptoms following resection. However, Mr Hunt has stuck by me through thick and thin, and has recently developed a new and very elegant technique to stabilise resected ribs that has proved absolutely life-changing for me. I have had a superb surgical outcome and I can only express my gratitude and delight as I go from strength to strength.   On the day of the surgery itself, Mr Hunt was incredibly kind, as I had got myself rather worked up. He then checked in on me several times as I recovered. His nursing team were also wonderful and I felt very cared for. My pain was well-controlled and my incisions were minimal. His anaesthetist was superb, and somehow contrived to manage things so that I did not vomit, which in itself was a minor miracle.     In addition to being right at the forefront of his field, Mr Hunt is also very caring clinician who understands how awful slipping rib syndrome can be. He has always taken the time to discuss things in detail and explain everything clearly. He follows his patients closely and has lots of helpful, targeted suggestions to optimise post-operative recovery. I feel enormously lucky to be under Mr Hunt's care.

As a Nervous patient about to have an Extraction..I was sitting In the waiting room Dreading every second The Receptionist was very nice and made me feel at ease Then after a very short wait ..the time had come for me to face my Fears.. As I sat in the chair the procedure was explained to me in full and the Dentist really made me feel Comfortable and at ease .. The first Extraction had taken place without me even being aware ..so no pain whatsoever Time for the second Extraction.. The Dentist asked me to rinse my mouth And I promise the second Extraction had already been carried out without me being aware ..completely pain free ..the dentist advised me that she should carry out a filling to another one of my teeth ..I was a bit reluctant..she cleaned the area and what I can only describe as her massaging the affected tooth the filling was carried out successfully.. I have a follow on Appointment in January And can Honestly say ..im looking forward to it Oh and to add ...when the Anesthetic wore off I experienced no pain or Discomfort whatsoever..and less than 24 hours later I sat down and enjoyed hot coffee With no Discomfort.... I can't thank you enough for your Treatment..and after 64 years ..im no longer a Nervous Patient Thank you

Mr Peach spoke very clearly and was understanding of my problem but also saw other things which he said he look at and that’s without me asking him to look at also which I found that he was very good in the examination of my face which made think that I have chosen the right person to do what I needed doing so very confident in going to see Mr Peach. But after the conversation with Mr Peach everything seem to go very quite no one got in touch with me as I said I would prefer it done quickly,I have received a letter about my examination which is THREE WEEKS WHEN I SAW MR PEACH . I am very hopeful that I have my appointment before Christmas,it is very disappointing that it took such a longtime to hear from Mr Peach and nothing as been done about when I will receive my appointment before Christmas.

She is incredibly personable, takes time to engage, listen and explain whatever medical issues are being discussed, in depth. I'm in my mid-40s and believe she has the best interpersonal skills of any healthcare professional I've ever met. I feel in very safe hands with regards to the medical investigations, discussions around treatment and outcomes; Dr Salooja is clearly extremely knowledgeable and thorough. I was very apprehensive about getting both of my eyes done at the same time. I cant believe how easy and painless it was ,all of the staff were amazing in looking after me and putting me at ease. Having 24 hr support was amazing ,my concerns were addressed quickly . If only everything was as easy as this ,within 3 days i could see perfectly ,i never realised how much of a difference it would make . From my consultant ,nursing staff, opthamologists, domestic staff and receptionist they went above and beyond in their care. Nothing was too much bother. Dont hesitate to go ,you will be amazed .

Today I came to the practice to visit Dr Andy Brown. I was initially quite nervous however every member of staff was so welcoming and comforting. Upon entering I was greeted by the front of house and offered a hot drink. The waiting room was soothing and I didn’t have to wait very long before the nurse called me in. I expressed my concerns and worries and Dr Andy talked me through all off them and really reassured me. He gave me options and explained them all thoroughly as well as giving me advice on what I need. I highly recommend going to him.

Absolutely brilliant, from the moment i had the pre-op all the staff from the reception right upto and including the surgeon Mr phaltankar are great - they put you at ease the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out and considering I had a full knee replacement I didn’t think I would walking so well even with crutches and after four weeks I didn’t need them the procedure was that good. My thanks to all the staff at highfield hospital and a special thanks to Mr phaltankar who gave me my mobility back.

The Spire is a very clean and well equipt hospital but with limited parking. However, my last trip to the spire hartswood had an hours delay before I was seen, which isnt ideal. My thoughts on this is if Reform get their way and sell off NHS that private sector is no better equipt to deal with volume than NHS. Tjat daid onve seen I was treated by a lovely nurse Marianne who was very caring and jolly which made yhe appointment a very pmeasurable experience.

Came in complaining of bloateness and abdominal distension. I was given thorough examination and a wide range of tests. Things were picked up that had never been picked up before eg lactose intolerance. I believe that without the quality care of Dr Philipose I may still be suffering now. I feel so much better having made the life change I was advised to make. I healthier and fitter than ever before. Great doctor ! Highly recommended.

Miss Summerhayes is fantastic. She is very reassuring, friendly and knowledgeable. She has a terrific bedside manner, which eased the strss of my cancer treatment. Lyn Corlass keeps the process running smoothly and has always gone the extra mile to ensure that there was minimal waiting time for tests, treatments and appointments. The audiologist who ran the test explained every test in detail to me so that I would know what was about to happen and what I had to do. She also answered all my questions about what was happening and what she was looking for as we went along. I don’t think it gets more thorough and detailed than this.
