I recently went to st Hugh for my FDL. My surgeon Miss Kelemen I would rate 10/10 she was realistic and clear in my expectations of the surgery. From the moment I met her I felt she understood me her and Emma couldn’t have made me feel more safe which is how I knew it was the best decision for me. After having surgeon previously else where the theatre staff were absolutely phenomenal and so calming! I had a lovely daytime nurse Whitney. Every request was met with a smile nothing was too much trouble and she was amazing! The lunch ladies also were cheeky , funny and exactly what I needed while in hospital. However. There was moments the hospital let down the overall experience. On my night I was left on an uncomfortable sheet that was making me very warm- I was told someone was coming to take this away as now stable in temperature was making me over warm. No one came so I belled for nighttime staff, felt an inconvience and was not as nice as daytime staff. This was 10pm the night time staff did not come back until 6.30am. I wasn’t given any pain relief , any new water nothing. I would have had better night time care going NHS. When they did come at 6.30am some of the meds they gave me they did not note down so was nearly given them again at 8am on the handover as nurse stated hadn’t been noted luckily I corrected and refused. On my follow up appointment the nurse seemed very unfamiliar with use of a binder and on a previous pre op appointment was told “don’t do “ many of these. I feel that the surgeon and her team were great however the night time staff hugely dissapointed me and left my over night stay painful and uncomfortable with lack of care for 14k! Would I recommend the hospital no if staying over: Would I recommend my surgeon yes.

The hospital receptionist had no idea about the clinic taking place & said I could wait in the corridor to see if anyone came for me. I did find the clinic by asking a nurse in the corridor, she kindly directed me. The receptionist in the clinic asked for my completed forms, which I had not been given. She fetched the forms & said I had come in via the wrong entrance, but it was signposted Fracture Clinic which is where I had been told to go ! The forms given to me contained the wrong information which I told her, but she said that it had the information that she understood to be correct & could I please sign in 3 places marked. I tried to alter the misinformation but the pen wouldn't write over the highlighted area. She was unable to take payment for this consultation. I spoke with Mr Jones's secretary the next day to rectify this issue. The clinic itself was standard NHS facility, not particularly inviting or comfortable & obviously usually used for children judging by the "artwork " on the walls. I didn't find the receptionist particularly friendly or helpful, more critical in point of fact !

Mr Maurino himself, a world-leading cataract surgeon whom we found only after considerable research, heads his unit at Moorfields Eye Hospital — a world-renowned specialist centre of excellence in ophthalmology. My mother travelled from Cape Town, dividing her time between South Africa and the United Kingdom. She was understandably anxious about undergoing two procedures. However, Mr Maurino and the wider Moorfields team were exceptional throughout. The procedures were carried out with the utmost skill, and the care and attention she received were exemplary. Ms Lucy Kerrison

Lucy provided exceptionally insightful and pragmatic advice to help manage and ultimately significantly improve years of gastro intestinal symptoms. She helped identify triggering foods and behaviours, and suggested alternative foods, supplements and treatments. She always explained the thinking behind her advice and was always fun and friendly to speak with. Lucy makes use of her network of other health care professionals that specialise in related areas and have provided help, and understands how a holistic treatment plan (targeting stress, muscles, physical symptoms) accompany nutritional advice to improve symptoms. Thoroughly recommend seeing her.

Dr Laura Ismail is an exceptional gynecologist who made me feel comfortable and safe from our very first meeting. I underwent a laparoscopy under her care, and throughout the entire process she was calm, reassuring, and incredibly attentive. She took the time to explain the procedure clearly, answer my questions, and make sure I felt at ease both before and after the surgery. I felt genuinely cared for and well supported at every stage. I would absolutely recommend Dr Ismail to anyone looking for a gynecologist they can fully trust.

Highly impressive practice and practitioners. Sophie treated me for a rotator cuff issue. The treatment was excellent in every way. She devised a perfectly tailored programme which ensured steady progress was made. She also liaised with another colleague who reassured me about a specific issue. I cannot recommend Threesixtypysio highly enough: the approach is entirely empathetic, holistic and extremely professional. It is a minefield trying to find the right physio: you need look no further once you have tried this team!

Max is the best massage therapist I’ve ever had! He’s incredibly intuitive, easy to talk to, and genuinely caring. He makes you feel completely comfortable and has an amazing knowledge of the body. Our session started by working into tension and ended with a deeply relaxing finish, including some cranial work. As a trained osteopath with physio experience, he knows so much and goes far beyond just massage. Max is truly incredible, he also does lymphatic drainage! Honestly the best, can’t recommend him enough 😊
