Mr Banim did my right total hip replacement on the 24th November 2025. From the initial appointment until my follow up appointment at 6 weeks the service he provided has been exemplary. All procedures were explained to me before they were carried out and I was given lots of opportunities to ask questions. My right leg used to turn out (as far as 3 on a clock). Immediately after the surgery my leg and foot was back in the midline and all pre operative symptoms were resolved. The care I received by all members of the Nuffield team (Chester), including admin staff, catering staff, nurses, doctors and physiotherapists was of the highest standard and I felt safe and cared for at all times. Thank you all. I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Banim as an excellent orthopaedic surgeon and the Nuffield team as an whole for the great job they are doing. I will be back for my left hip done (hopefully not for a while yet!). Thanks again.

After many months of difficulties prompted by the sudden loss of my husband, I can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. Communication with Kernow Psychiatry has been very responsive and I booked an initial appointment to discuss my mental health difficulties. Dr Reid welcomed me into a comfortable room at the wellness hub, she immediately put me at ease and took care make sure I was settled and ready to start. After the hour, Dr Reid summarised what she saw as the key priorities to getting me back on an even keel, suggesting a clear approach to addressing my intersecting issues. I am looking forward to my follow up appointment and the start of my recovery treatment plan. I only wish I’d followed my instincts sooner and booked in months ago.

The imaging team — particularly R. Wilson and L. Kuriakose — were outstanding. Their efficiency, professionalism, and the way they worked with me throughout the treatment were superb. In contrast, communication from the reception team was limited. There was little information provided regarding waiting times or updates, and my next of kin were not kept informed about what was happening or how long the process might take. This created unnecessary uncertainty during an already stressful time. Parking was also extremely challenging, to the point where travelling by train would likely have been easier.

I chose galaxy lenses for my cataract surgery and am now very happy with the results. No need whatsoever for any glasses. The staff were all very kind and supportive, along with Mr Hove the surgeon who was quick and efficient with the procedure. The facilities were clean and well maintained, but the waiting time could be quite long at times. The restroom was clean; however, the lighting is motion-activated. When I remained in a private stall for an extended period of time, the lights turned off automatically, and I had to exit the stall in complete darkness, which was quite frightening. I believe this needs improvement.
