I first saw Dr. Patel earlier this year because I had suddenly developed tinnitus. After an MRI came back clear, he diagnosed me with something he called “functional ear syndrome”, suggesting biological, psychological or social changes and vestibular migraine as the probable cause. A few months later, things deteriorated. I began experiencing severe dizziness alongside an amplified tinnitus, so I returned for a follow-up appointment. I explained that my symptoms were getting worse, but I was once again reassured it was “functional ear syndrome” and was told that CBT might help. I left feeling as though my concerns weren’t being properly heard or investigated. Because my symptoms continued to escalate, I sought a second opinion. Further tests have now revealed that I actually have sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL), a condition that needs timely treatment. My hearing loss is mild to moderate and I am currently undergoing steroid treatment to try to preserve my hearing - a situation that might have been avoided or at least addressed much earlier if my symptoms had been taken more seriously in the first place. This review reflects my personal experience only. I felt dismissed and overlooked at a time when I really needed a clear and thorough medical assessment and I hope that by sharing this, others with similar symptoms are encouraged to advocate for themselves and seek additional input if something doesn’t feel right.

Dr. Jayaram has been very kind, professional and attentive throughout the consultation and was very thorough when examining my eyes. My wife had to have Cataract surgery on both eyes. The right eye was complicated cataract surgery by a dropped nucleolus. The Consultant Ophthalmologist referred her case to Mr Habal who performed right pars plana vitrectomy, removal of dropped nucleolus and secondary sulcus intraocular lens implantation. This complicated surgery was successful and it really highlights the incredibly skilled and knowledgeable that Mr Habal possessed. As I was due to have the cataract surgery on my both eyes, this gave me complete confidence and asked Mr Habal to do mine as well. He kindly accepted my case and diagnosed bilateral hypermetropia with astigmatism and the cataracts. The surgeries was a great success so that I now do not have a need to wear glasses except for reading. So does my wife. I couldn’t have asked for better care — an outstanding clinician and a genuinely caring professional.

I had a recent admission for a Discectomy under the care of Mr Manoj-Thomas. The entire experience from initial appointment to the actual surgery was just over 6 weeks. During this time I received regular communication to prepare me for my surgery. I was overwhelmed by the high standard of care I received as an in patient from the nursing and medical team. All professionals were courteous calm and maintained my dignity and trust during an anxious time and I am incredibly grateful. My follow up care is continuing and I was very impressed with the phone call I received 2 days post discharge to ensure I was continuing to recover. I reached out to TCM after I was told that I had a very low AMH and AFC and that I would likely go through early menopause. This caused me a lot of stress as I had always had regular periods and had never considered that I may have fertility troubles. Prof Au talked me through my results and educated me on AMH as a poor predictor for menopause. He advised me that I would need further bloods to fully assess my fertility and I was able to request them from my GP. Following this he reviewed my bloods with me again, without charge, and advised me that everything was normal and I did not need to be seen at TCM. I am very grateful for all the help, support and education. Thank you!

My Wife, Chrissie who suffers with Dementia has been a patient of Dr Soumit Singhai for some months now. We realise there is no cure for Dementia, but Dr Singhai has been very proactive helping us by constantly trying different meds and different dosages to improve Chrissie’s daily life. Since our first visit we are delighted that Chrissie is showing improvements and being able to do some things again, that she had lost the ability to do. We will continue to see Dr Singhai for as long as is necessary. Dr Singhai is a very caring man and we are grateful that we found him.

Very good overall. Minor gripes only would be the limited parking, limited capacity in waiting areas and that some seating is too low to meet the needs of hip / knee patients . The roll out of the new call centre facility makes for a patchy experience at times and it’s concerning that online accounts fail to show all patient appointments - even with the consultants - which may lead to confusion and potential missed appointments. Work in progress and will surely iron out in time.
