would like to make a complaint following an IPL treatment I had on 21/01/26. I had a consultation with Dr Branka and a subsequent telephone conversation with Krupa. I repeatedly asked this whether was risk of my symptoms being exacerbated by the treatment. I was repeatedly reassured that this would not happen. I had email exchanges with Krupa where she assured me repeatedly that the greatest reaction that I would get would be mild reddening around the eye lid for 30 mins. I had explained that I had a job interview the following day and was advised that would not be any reaction or issue. I was reassured both by email and in person on the day. My skin had a significant reaction to the procedure. The possibility of such a reaction to such a procedure had never been explained or even suggested. On meeting Dr Branka post procedure, she told me that my eyes weren’t dry, and in fact were significantly better. She said the tear break up was 7 seconds and that there had been an improvement, however I would like a second opinion on this, as they feel dryer and are visibly red, whereas they were not immediately beforehand. The visibly look and feel much worse than prior to the procedure. I completely feel like I’m being fobbed off. When I said to Dr Branka that I was not made aware of the risks she cheerfully old me that I signed the consent form and that of course there is the possibility of this reaction particularly with my very think skin. I was completely unaware that I had thin skin or that there could have been such a complication which would exacerbate my skin and eye problems. I explained that had a risk of this IPL been ‘worsening of dry eye symptoms, worsening of ocular rosacea/ rosacea’ I would have NEVER had the procedure. Dr Branka just said of course there was a risk and told me it happens in those people with rosacea. This had NEVER been mentioned in the consultation prior to the procedure. My eyes were not significantly bothersome prior to the treatment, I did it as a preventative to improve the gland and to avoid the dry eye disease progressing. When I asked Dr Branka what next in terms of how I manage this now worse situation she said that I can only use cotton flannels and saline as I am reactive to most things. She has told me I need to pay privately for a dermatologist for advice. This is not only causing me health problems but costing me money to resolve this. I have already spent over £700 for the consultation with dr Branka and the procedure! I am left anxious, distressed and upset by this experience and the ongoing problems. It has caused further issues with my skin. The rosacea was not posing a problem prior to the IPL and while I had been prescribed Soolantra and Azealic acid I had not needed to take them as I was not experiencing a flare up. I do not know where to go now for help, advice or to resolve this issue. I am really upset as my eyes and skin have worsened as a result and I am left alone to deal with it or pay out for help to try to correct it. Again, to reiterate, I would never have had IPL if I had known there was any risk of worsening symptoms. This was never explained, even when I explicitly asked initially. Dr Branka from from the outset said I was a good candidate but I needed to check with a dermatologist due to family skin cancer. I had checked this and the dermatologist said it would not be a problem from the perspective of skin cancer. I would like another opinion. I would like advice treatment and next steps. Not from dr Branka as all faith has gone.

My first appointment was arranged within a week. After my appointment I was offered surgery in exactly one more week. Everything was great, lovely facilities, lovely staff. Everyone was very friendly and constantly being offered coffee etc. On every occasion I was taken either on time or early. I was put at ease and everything was fully explained and what the best lenses for me would be, based on my history and interests. On the day of surgery, everything went fine and there was no pain whatsoever, merely a strange feeling as the surgeon did his stuff. Afterwards I was given advice re eye drops and aftercare and again all great. Everything was fine when I got home, merely discomfort and that soon passed. I had plenty of people checking and following up that all was well. Finally, I had a follow up visit after a few weeks and again everything was great and very professional and I was advised to see my optician and GP. Throughout my time, the service I received was first class.

I had a Teams meeting today with Angela about my nutrition, as I’m looking for ways to gain weight. She was completely non judgemental, incredibly warm, and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole conversation. She never made me feel bad about my eating habits and was very kind and understanding in the way she worked with me. She gave me really sound advice and clear, practical feedback on how I can improve things going forward, particularly around healthy weight gain. I wasn’t sure what to expect going into the meeting. I half expected to be told to cut out lots of foods and start eating things I didn’t like but instead, she took the time to understand what I like and don’t like to eat. Overall, she was extremely helpful, supportive, and approachable, and I genuinely appreciated the session. I thought she was great.

I can’t recommend Dr Emily Cary highly enough. She has been absolutely amazing in supporting me through the early stages of perimenopause. From our very first appointment, she made me feel listened to, understood, and reassured during what can be a confusing and overwhelming time. Her knowledge, calm approach, and clear explanations helped me make sense of my symptoms and feel confident about the next steps. She took the time to tailor my care to me as an individual, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Thanks to her support and guidance, I feel far more informed, supported, and positive about managing this transition. Everyone I dealt with was great overall. The experience was good aside from a couple of mistakes which then lead to long delays. One of the assessment calls didn't work and I had made time to sit through it. They did try to rectify this quickly but it still took another few weeks which after such a long time was frustrating. Sometimes when I would ring up the person who would answer would be short and I didn't feel so comfortable speaking to them. Otherwise, I would recommend this service up to diagnosis - I am yet to try the medication and services beyond here. I wish there was more the NHS or RTN could provide to offer support post diagnosis. The recommendations are useful but I would like a little more.

We received an excellent level of care and support. The doctor was able to assess my daughter and provide a diagnosis on the same day, which brought us much-needed clarity and reassurance after a very difficult few weeks. They were incredibly supportive, gentle and sensitive with my daughter, taking the time to explain clearly what was happening in a way that she could understand without feeling frightened or overwhelmed. We felt listened to throughout. The offer to support us further, including attending a video call with her school to help plan her return, was above and beyond what we expected and made us feel we were not navigating this alone.

Overall, I had a good experience at the Fitzrovia Suite. The midwives were supportive, kind, and readily available, providing good care following my c section. I was particularly grateful for the overnight support. The team helped look after my baby, ensuring I was able to get much-needed sleep and rest, which was invaluable for my recovery. However, The handover process between midwives during shift changes could be better managed, as there were some gaps in communication between team members. Additionally, the catering was fairly average and quite rigid in terms of meal timings and available options, which could be more flexible.

Dr Auplish instantly made me feel at ease during the consultation and gave clear informed information. During the surgery, again, Dr Auplish and his team made me feel at ease. Myself being an inquisitive person had a look during the operation and questioned Dr Auplish who was willing to show and speak of the procedure. Since the operation, my scar is minimal hardly recognisable 8 weeks on. I no longer have pins and needles in my hand and arm and can enjoy a better nights sleep. (Carpal tunnel). I would not hesitate to return to Dr Auplish for further treatments if needed in the future.

Pretty straightforward experience overall. The receptionist on the first floor (the Somali lady wearing a hijab) was extremely kind and helpful. My phone was about to die and I asked if there was any chance of a charger- she went out of her way to help me, which I really appreciated. It’s the small things like that which leave a lasting impression, and that’s exactly why I wanted to leave this review. The only small suggestion I’d make is having oat milk available at the coffee machine for those who don’t have dairy, it would be a thoughtful and considerate touch.

Experienced staff, many with lived experience who are non judgemental, kind and compassionate throughout the stay. Genuinely friendly and supportive and go out of their way to make sure that guests are as comfortable as possible through the detox and throughout the programme. Staff are always approachable and will support or direct you to whoever can. My vegetarian needs were fully met and the food was plentiful with lots of healthy options. Plenty of options for between sessions with yoga, gym and creative activities.
