Early January 2024, I was diagnosed with Squamous carcinoma in my neck and I had gone through a radiotherapy / chemotherapy treatment and recovered well by mid 2024. A year and a few months later, I discovered something in my upper left jaw and with biopsy, it’s confirmed to be cancer again. I searched for a Maxillofacial surgeon and several of my friends and doctors recommended Dr. Mustansir Alibhai as one of the best in this area. I went to see him and from day one I saw how he is kind and taking good care of his patients. Within a week, he did all required scans and tests and booked the surgery. The surgery was so complicated because of my previous radiotherapy treatment. The surgery took about 14 hours, almost double the normal time, and Dr. Alibhai along with his team had to deal with several complications during the surgery. He dealt with these complications in a very professional way as I heard from his colleagues after the surgery. I think that Allah gave me a new opportunity in this day to come back to life through the help of Dr. Alibhai. After the surgery, I saw a caring person who was taking care of all the details along with his team. I spent 6 days at intensive care and then another 5 days at a normal room. During this period, Dr. Alibhai and his team took very good care of me. The results of the surgery were superb. The pathology report mentioned the success of the surgery in fully removing the tumor with a very good margin. Therefore, my oncologist along with Dr. Alibhai and the team decided that there is no need for further radiotherapy treatment, given the fact that I already had radiotherapy before. The recovery process is a little long because of the sophisticated surgery in my mouth and my leg. I can’t tell you enough about how careful and kind Dr. Alibhai is in following up with me and managing the recovery process in the best possible way to make sure that I return to my normal situation and normal life in due time. He is a real human before being a doctor and this is what makes the difference. I highly recommend Dr. Alibhai for similar cases and I am quite sure he will do a great job. I wish him all the best in his career and his life.

From the first consultation with Mr Jack in October 2024 I had the upmost confidence in him. Although it was a short consultation he was thorough in his diagnosis, explanations and proposed action. He listened to my concerns, showed empathy and had a good sense of humour. My only non positive experience was on the morning of the operation that I heard from the anaesthetist that I was to have the procedure under a spinal anaesthetic. This was the first time that I had “heard” this. My husband and I cannot recall it being mentioned on the first consultation and I do not remember seeing it being identified in the pre operative information. The procedure was excellent and I would not have any hesitation of undergoing the same again and I believe it aided my quick recovery. In my post operative consultation Mr Jack also addressed problems that I was experiencing with my knee on the operated leg and was able to reassure me that it was to be expected, was not a problem and would return to normal- which it has. I would like to thank Mr Jack for his skill and expertise in helping me to regain my quality of life. I have already recommended Mr Jack to acquaintances who are facing hip replacements.

Review for Dr. Hill and Kingsbridge North West Hospital I had a fantastic experience at Kingsbridge North West Hospital. Dr. Hill is a phenomenal surgeon — incredibly skilled, friendly, and easy to deal with. He immediately puts you at ease and makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. It’s clear that he’s not only respected by his patients but also by the staff; all the nurses spoke so highly of him, both personally and professionally. They even mentioned that they can always recognize his surgical work by the exceptional standard and care he provides. All of the staff were excellent. Sku checked me in — he was very friendly, professional, and efficient. The whole process ran smoothly, and I was in and out of the clinic within an hour. I highly recommend paying the bit extra to use Kingsbridge — it’s worth every penny for the level of care, professionalism, and peace of mind you receive.

He took time to understand the context of my injury, analysed that there were multiple issues going on, and immediately referred me to the necessary imaging & treatment. He followed up in detail to tell me about my imaging results and treatment options. My situation didn't require surgery, and Dr. Tavakkolizadeh gave me personalised options to help me return back to my health. He’s proper nice, not stuck up like some specialists, and talks in plain English, not all medical mumbo-jumbo. Asked loads about what I thought, not just what’s in the notes, makes you feel heard. He sent me for some tests, even checked in to see how I was doing after, which I weren’t expecting at all! Sorted my treatment, feel loads better these days. Crackin’ communication — wish all doctors was like him. Defo would recommend!

I was hoping that I would have at least a physical examination rather than just be told that I would have to have a procedure in three or four months time. I felt that as I had already had an MRI scan several months earlier & a telephone consultation there was no necessity to have a face to face meeting with the consultant just to repeat my symptoms, as it was a further waste of time for me to drive all the way to Ashford for a 5 minute interview.
