I had surgery in November at New Victoria Hospital for multiple abdominal hernias under Professor Frampton after seeking a second opinion, and I’m very glad I did. From the first consultation, he was friendly and reassuring, took the time to explain everything clearly, and answered all my questions, which put me at ease after a previous, less positive experience elsewhere. On the day of surgery, he came to see me beforehand and talked everything through again, which I really appreciated. The surgery itself went extremely well, using a no-mesh technique, and I was honestly surprised by how quickly I recovered. I had minimal pain and was back to normal activities within a week. I am now two months post-op and so far the hernias have stayed closed. I am able to do activities that would previously have caused me pain, which has made a huge difference to my day-to-day life. At my follow-up appointment, Professor Frampton was pleased with how well I’d healed and again took time to answer my questions. I felt listened to, well cared for, and very confident in his expertise throughout the whole process.

Dr Rohan was very professional, yet warm. Listened to my concerns and walked me through the plan. From testing and assessing possible diagnosis to prevention and future monitoring and treatment if needed. I felt I was in good hands. I did a full blood and urine workout to ensure I don't have an underlying disease. After a few lifestyle changes and home monitoring I saw my blood pressure normalise, for the first time, since I was diagnosed with preeclampsia 2 years ago, during pregnancy. I could not recommend Dr Rohan more.

The requests for information prior to the appointment really helped as Dr Cary was well prepared when we met, this helped limit the questions and gave the perfect amount of time to discuss my issues. Dr Cary also followed up my appointment with a letter to my GP and myself on the same day which was amazing.

The treatments are first class, very comfortable and also reassuring as any problems will be pointed out. The doctor I had did not look through any of the files, he asked me to find my MRI results which were in fact in the pack in front of him. He then proceeded to tell me he couldnt help me with my knee injury and offered no reason or explanation as to why I would have been sent to them for a consultation. He offered no support and was quite frankly useless.
