About Mr Bobby Anand
Mr Bobby Anand is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Caterham, Surrey who specialises in knee conditions.
Mr Anand studied Medicine at University College London and graduated in 2002. In addition to his medical degree, he completed a degree (BSc) in Orthopaedic Science at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. His specialist orthopaedic training was in Cambridge and London. He was made a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2011 and obtained his specialist CCT in 2013. Mr Anand is enthusiastic about training and teaching. He plays an active role in training junior doctors including GP trainees and future orthopaedic surgeons. In addition, he teaches on international courses around the world training established consultants and senior trainees on sports knee surgery and joint replacement surgery. Mr Anand is honoured to be one of only a few surgeons from the UK to be elected to sit on the committees for the European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA).
Mr Anand has completed four knee fellowships including 6 months in Melbourne, Australia with Prof J Feller. His other fellowships were in top centres in Italy, Bristol and Bournemouth. In 2013 he was awarded the prestigious European Arthroscopy Travelling Fellowship where he travelled around Europe visiting the top centres and presenting his research. His research interests are focused around getting patients back to sport and patella instability.
