Given the severity of my left ankle injury, I couldn't be happier with the outcome. The reconstructive surgery performed by Mr Yousaf and his team was exemplary given the dislocation and the number of fractures to my fibula and tibia. Very high standards of professionalism and care at all times, both pre and post-surgery, have greatly contributed to a faster than average recovery time, for which I am exceedingly grateful. THANK YOU.
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful message. I am pleased to hear that you were satisfied with the care you received. I will be sure to share your generous words with the entire team—they will be greatly encouraged by your feedback. Wishing you continued progress and a full return to your activities.

This study underlines the importance of taking preoperative expectations into account to obtain an informed choice on the basis of the patient's preferences. Patients' pre-operative expectations of surgical outcome exceed their functional achievement but satisfaction remains high if pain control and ability to walk unaided is achieved early after hallux valgus corrective surgery.
