Mr Jonathan Miles is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at The Wellington Hospital. He specialises in knee and hip surgery, including partial and total knee replacement, total hip replacement, revision knee and revision hip replacement.
He performs most of his surgeries robotically to achieve the greatest possible balance and alignment of the joint, while minimising tissue damage. This gives the best return to function for patients. He is one of the highest volume revision joint surgeons in the country and regularly sees second opinion and complex surgery cases.
Mr Miles also treats knee sports injuries for patients of all sports and uses minimally invasive techniques to minimise recovery time. He is one of the UK's leading surgeons in cartilage repair, as well as having a wealth of experience in meniscal surgery and ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) surgery.
He carries out his NHS work at the renowned Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London. His interest in research has resulted in the publication of more than 100 scientific papers and articles. He is involved at NHS England level in how revision joint surgery is provided and participates in health management, teaching and implant development studies.

I chose Mr. Miles for my hip replacement on the basis of the positive reviews and also because he utilizes the Mako robot. I couldn't be happier with the outcome . From the initial contact with Daisy, his medical secretary, to the pre-op briefing with the Anaesthetist Vijay it is a very professional setup and at the same time very personable. Mr. Miles was extremely helpful before and after the op and put my mind at ease about my journey to full recovery. My physiotherapist told me she had rarely seen such a minimally visible wound following hip surgery. Once again very happy I chose Mr Miles and his team.

I have never had a major operation before (I am 63) and am not a nervous person by nature. Regardless, Jonathan and his team were exceptional from start to finish. I could not have been in better hands either in person, online, or via video. Nothing was too much trouble to answer. His office (Daisy and team) were super efficient and got back to me quickly with my "queries". Jonathan, was also very honest......and it did hurt, but as they say no pain no gain!!!

Mr Miles is an excellent doctor He knows what you need and listens to his patients. An excellent surgeon. My scar looks neat and tidy. I have recommended him and will continue to do so.
