During both the initial consultation and following procedure, Dr Muir was a pleasure to visit and was instrumental in my dealing with a long standing problem that had been negatively affecting my quality of life since I was very young. My initial examination and diagnosis was swift, professional, and Gordon explained everything very clearly and in such a way that put me at ease with the procedure I had been recommended. The procedure was booked in very efficiently and I was able to have it done barely two weeks after the consultation, thanks to Mr Muir’s excellent and responsive broader team. I received great care from Mr Muir and his team on the day of my surgery, as well as immediately following, before being discharged. Unfortunately, as is apparently relatively common with this type of procedure I developed a minor infection during recovery. However I was quickly booked in for a follow up, seen to quickly, examined and promptly prescribed the necessary medication which cleared the infection up within a week. Further to this, during my recovery period I was able to easily get in touch with Mr Muir and his office, for general advice, quick checkups and reassurance. Having now completed my journey with Dr Muir and his team I am very grateful to them all and am looking forward to this next chapter in my life, with the numerous health benefits gained from my treatment. I would highly recommend Dr Muir to anyone who requires any form of urological treatment, they will be very well looked after.

I had both lenses replaced with the Galaxy Multifocal including Toric lenses. I was nervous about eye surgery, let alone with both eyes. However, there was no need. The operation was quick and painless and the recovery fine-very straightforward. Right from the initial consultation, the whole process was very smooth. Explanations were always clear and I had plenty of opportunities to ask questions. The whole team, John, the nurses at Tetbury and the admin team were always very reassuring and friendly and if I had any queries, they always got back to me very quickly and efficiently. I have just had my 4 week follow up consultation and my near, mid and distance vision are all good. I haven't needed any glasses since the operation and that includes reading and a very screen based job! I'm very glad I had the operation. My sight is so much better. After my atrial fibrillation (AFib) diagnosis, I booked an appointment with Dr Davies at the Park Hospital. He explained the treatment options: medication, a cardioversion (an electrical reset of the heart), or an ablation. His manner and experience are second to none. He helped me understand the options and I decided upon the RF ablation using the new state of the art facility at the Park. Dr Davies and his brilliant team carried out the procedure and the ITU aftercare team were equally impressive. I’m very pleased to say it went well and heart is now back in normal sinus rhythm, and I’m expected to make a full recovery. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Dr Davies and everyone at the Park Hospital.

My recent experience and the appointment with Dr Sawh before were excellent. From Charlotte to the Ella Mae Barnes location the service was genuine and authentic with a focus on customer service and problem solving. Dr Sawh and his team are always timely but my broader experience at Spire is not always so good. Charlotte is a very good professional. As was the receptionist at the Ella Barnes location. I find the service at the Spire Hospital inconsistent. There are generally long delays at appointments and I get the feeling the service from some staff are not as authentic as mentioned above. With this broader service It fees like people are operating to a script and running through a process.

I had appointments for a CTScan and an MRI. One after the other. For the CV Scan I was taken in early. For the MRI I was taken in some 30+ minutes late due to earlier overruns in the unit. That was no particular problem. What was a problem was the changing room in the CT Scan area. For a person who relied on balancing and walking with a stick, grab handles in the changing room would have been a godsend. There was nothing to hold on to to get down or up except the gown waste bin, which was very insecure. The bench seating was far to low and standing up was a real problem. It was rather dangerous.
