Dr. Hawary treated my young son, who had been struggling with balanitis for quite some time in GWH My son was 2 years and 9 months old, and after several GP visits with no improvement, we were understandably worried. He conducted a thorough examination and prescribed a cream that finally resolved the infection, giving my son much-needed relief within a week. This was a huge comfort after seeing him in pain for so long. Dr. Hawary also clearly explained the underlying cause of the infection, which was related to circumcision, and helped us understand why proceeding with the procedure sooner would prevent further discomfort and complications. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Hawary was incredibly reassuring. He patiently answered all of our questions, both during in-person consultations and via email, ensuring we felt fully informed and confident about the decision we were making for our child. On the day of the surgery, Dr. Hawary took extra care to reassure us and helped keep us calm, emphasizing that our son was in safe and experienced hands. The surgery itself was quick and smooth. During the recovery period, whenever we had questions or concerns, Dr. Hawary was always responsive, often replying within 10 to 20 minutes, which was immensely reassuring. My son has now fully recovered. All stitches have healed and fallen off naturally, and the final follow-up appointment confirmed that everything is progressing perfectly. Practice Plus Group Hospital, Barlborough

I had knee replacement surgery at the Practice Plus hospital at Barlborough on 29th November. The pain I experienced during the two weeks following the surgery on a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate at 8 to 9. Now that I am in my eight week of recovery my pain level is 1 or2 I had a problem in that during the first 2 weeks after surgery I was hardly able to sleep due to the pain when lying down and some nights I had zero hours of sleep. After discussion with the hospital pharmacist it became evident that one of the pain killing medicines I had been prescribed had insomnia as one of it’s side effects. After stopping this medication and taking an alternative my sleep pattern returned to normal and my recovery accelerated. From the experiences of friends who had undergone this surgery I knew that physiotherapy was the key to a successful outcome. The physiotherapy I received at Barlborough was exceptional. By following their exercise plans and receiving guidance at my follow-up visits I am now able walk for one hour virtually pain free, ride my static bike at home and if all goes well should be able to ride my bike on the road in a few weeks time. I was referred to Mr Bailey after seeing my GP and having an X-Ray, and first saw him on 24 October 2025. He showed me the images and explained the options to me and asked what I wanted to achieve. I explained that while I knew I would not run again, it would be nice to be able to take part in recreational skiing once more, albeit on gentler runs, and that I would like the stability of my knee to be restored. He asked how soon I would like to have surgery and I said as soon as possible. I was booked in there and then for surgery on 5 December 2025, which took place as planned and has been highly successful. Nearly seven weeks later I am walking normally, back in the gym, with full knee stability and no knee pain. I continue to do the physio exercises to expand my range of movement. I could not be more satisfied with the result.

Communication with Kernow Psychiatry has been very responsive and I booked an initial appointment to discuss my mental health difficulties. Dr Reid welcomed me into a comfortable room at the wellness hub, she immediately put me at ease and took care make sure I was settled and ready to start. After the hour, Dr Reid summarised what she saw as the key priorities to getting me back on an even keel, suggesting a clear approach to addressing my intersecting issues. I am looking forward to my follow up appointment and the start of my recovery treatment plan. I only wish I’d followed my instincts sooner and booked in months ago.

My daughter has been seeing Dr Haddad on and off for the past eleven years. He is extremely personable, professional and above all kind. She feels he always listens to her and takes her seriously, and as a parent it is such a relief to find a professional who takes what you say, as well as what your child says, completely seriously. He has a high level of care and refers to other specialists as and when needed. We couldn't recommend him highly enough. He noticed that my child had a rare medical condition which most healthcare professionals dismissed and has been helping us with it ever since.

I'm very pleased with my visit. I arrived late due to work commitments and couldn't to get through to the hospital to let them know. Mr Odak was waiting for me (I was the last patient of the day) and was very kind and friendly throughout the appointment. I got my diagnosis and was happy with the level of information provided. My condition was explained to me very clearly, and so were my treatment options. Mr Odak booked me in for a steroid injection, which will hopefully solve my issues. Turnaround between initial consultation and injection has been very quick (just a couple of weeks).

Dr Tang was simply wonderful. He was very kind, gentle and understanding of my worries and health problem. He explained the procedures well and reassured me. After the endoscopies he reported back and explained clearly what he had found. All the staff at Hadley Wood were also extremely friendly, competent and reassuring, particularly Nurse Grace. Dr Tangs secretary was extremely efficient and friendly. She was quick to respond to my messages and ensured my consultations and treatment happened smoothly and speedily.

The therapists and dietitians are very passionate about helping patients and clearly have a genuine desire to help people. The group therapy sessions and the structure of the day was very helpful in helping my recovery. When I first came I was a bit confused about a lot of things and maybe communication in terms of meals and rules etc could be better explained in a more compassionate manner. The other patients and staff are the most wonderful lovely people and I am so grateful to have met them.

She identified me having a chest infection, and reduced power in my lungs . Collected prescription from chemist. At 82 , I think I would have ended up in hospital had it not seen this Doctor. Amazing service Now a day later feeling much better. 😎
