The appointment ran half an hour behind time. These things happen. However, having waited patiently for my appointment I was disappointed to find that the doctor had not reviewed my file, was not aware of my test results and therefore unable to give a satisfactory review of the results. He seemed fairly disinterested in my case. I was not given a comprehensive review of the treatment options available. Knowledge was lacking on the specific medications available. I was given (from a specialist) an inadequate pharmacological explanation of the differences between the contraceptive pill and HRT. I am concerned that doctors are not given adequate time at the moment and are very busy so I have assumed that some of this may not be the doctor's fault, but I do hope that the service offered can be improved.
