I came to see Mr Laniado as a 65 year old with a history of regular urine infections leading to complete retention. My prostate was very enlarged. I was getting up to urinate every night 5 or 6 times. I had a weak urine flow, with a regular troublesome urgent need to pee in the daytime. Mr Laniado was kind and informative. We discussed the options and agreed on HoLEP. I preferred an epidural to a general anaesthetic which was appropriate for me. The whole procedure was pain free and completed very professionally. I was informed of what post operative issues were common. These were fairly minor and cleared up quickly. Thanks to Mr Laniado’s skills, 2 months on I get up only once a night and have no urgent immediate need to pee in the daytime. My urine flow is now like it was 40 years ago. I have had no urinary incontinence, and suffered no change to sexual function. I cannot thank him enough as this has been genuinely life changing for me.

Arriving at the Lyndhurst Rooms for a Blood test and a CT scan in the hospital. Reception were polite quick and efficient. The Phlebotomist was professional and conducted the tests well. Absolutely fine. However, the CT scan is conducted by the hospital radiology department. Waiting times were extended at the radiology reception(NHS) and in the department(NHS) before the scan. The staff were as expected very good and professional, no issue there, but the waiting time over and above the booked time was between 45minutes to one hour overdue. I have had similar scans in different facities previousy and this does not compare with the London Clinic which is fully private and the same private insurance payer is paying for a private service. the RFH Private Patients could do a lot better.

I saw Mr Wek for a consultation and a hip nerve block , done under x ray. I have seen Mr Wek, both in his NHS clinic and privately. On both occasions he put me at ease straight away and I was encouraged to ask any questions throughout the appointments. Mr Wek has a calm, approachable, professional and friendly manner. During my consultation, Mr Wek took time and care in showing and explaining the results of my MRI scan and x ray. He also further demonstrated the stages leading to advanced osteoarthritis using plastic hip joints, which was helpful. I would highly recommend Mr Wek, especially if you want a Consultant thats patient, and makes you feel involved in your care.

Prompt replies from both Gina on reception, and Dr Emma Noble, asking about my travel plans and countries, appointment arranged and before you know it, I am fully prepped & ready to go. Dr Paul Wiseman was masterful. I had to get 4 different vaccines and barely felt anything. Very personable, put me at my ease. Pointed me to the websites recommended by Department of Health / Foreign affairs for most up to date advice and important steps I can take as a traveller (hand washing, mosquito nets etc). A great service from a first class team. Thank you so much.

It is because of his excellent care and experience, that in spite of my glaucoma ,I still Ienjoy good sight . Mr Scott is an amazing Surgeon . He explains the procedures in a calm and clear manner and his aftercare is second to none . Professor Miranda is friendly, professional and very approachable. He goes out of his way to fully explain the procedure, answering any questions with a calm and patient manner. During the operation he explained each step and offered reassurance throughout. The atmosphere in the theatre was warm and friendly and he made me feel part of the team rather than a nervous patient! During the follow up appointment he offered lots of advice and recommendations for a smooth healing process. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Professor Miranda, in fact, I already have.

When I first started working with him earlier in the year following a traumatic car crash, I thought I would never drive again. Using EMDR therapy, it has taken hard work but I am now back to driving for which I will forever be grateful.
