I’ve battled with my weight for as long as I can remember. In July 2022, I hit my breaking point after seeing a photo of myself at my heaviest. I was ashamed, overwhelmed, and completely defeated. I avoided mirrors and felt exhausted and unhappy. Over the years, I had tried everything—diets, medications, fitness programs—but nothing gave me lasting change. I felt stuck. Choosing bariatric surgery was not an easy decision. It came with tears, fear, doubt, and a lot of soul-searching. I know not everyone understands or agrees with this choice, but for me it was never about appearance. It was about choosing a healthier, happier, longer life. It was about being here for my family and the people I love. It was about choosing myself. From my very first appointment, the care, compassion, and reassurance I received from you, the consultant, and the entire team made such a difference. Every question was answered, every worry was taken seriously, and I always felt supported rather than judged. The kindness, professionalism, and encouragement shown to me before and after surgery helped me feel confident in my decision and safe throughout the process. The fear of not being present for my family someday scared me far more than surgery ever could. Thank you for the exceptional care, guidance, and support you have all shown me. You haven’t just helped me through a procedure—you’ve helped give me a real chance at a new beginning, and for that I will always be grateful.

His manor was of a caring and friendly nature explaining my situation and offering choices to have the surgery or to keep observing the hip. Right from the day of admission to hospital i was reassured by all people involved as i a very bad experience the first time round. I wish to give a special mention to the anaesthetist and his team because this was something i really anxious about again reassuring me all the way i can't thank them enough as a result of their kindness and support i was completely relaxed So once again a very big thank you to everyone involved in my treatment.

I saw the cardiologist as I couldn’t get appointments at my GP surgery. I was really impressed with the whole procedure. The Consultant was wonderful and was able to reassure me. He listened to me and later explained all the results of the tests. He did an Angiogram on me himself which I thought was a great idea as he could see my heart in real time, no report from a technician needed no wait. I had to have bloods taken by Debbie . A very nice nurse . Again I was made to feel comfortable and reassured with my problem. There is a plan in place and I return to see cardiologist again next week. I will definitely use the facility in the future for myself and family. Due to the chaos that is the NHS at present.

This was my second visit to this hospital,and as it was on the 1st visit,I can only add praise on the staff,nurses consultants,seating area with coffee machine,the receptionist was so polite and helpful as well as being friendly and smiling.It was comfortably warm on a cold day,always a nervous person even for an xray.but left the hospital with all the information I needed,and feeling calm and confident on my visit. Must add that Mr Richard Slack is a very approachable person that put me imediately at my ease.and answered all my concerns very confidently,with a very caring side also,I wish I could use those hospital for all my health issues,100%! I had an excellent experience with Dr Bhandari. He was very attentive and took the time to genuinely listen to all of my concerns.
