I started the process under NHS care with no symptoms. After GP bloods, MRI, biopsy, CT, and bone scan (confirming the cancer was confined to the capsule), I was disappointed to hear that if I stayed on that path, nerve sparing would not be possible. A friend recommended I speak to Mr Laniado, and this was a turning point. It was clear from the start that I’d be in the most capable hands. His assessment was delivered in an authoritative yet compassionate manner – exactly what I was looking for. He organised a PSMA PET/CT scan which, as he had suspected, confirmed that nerve sparing would be both possible and safe due to the NeuroSAFE approach. (I also preferred the option of the Suprapubic tube). My mind was made up. I decided to self-pay and engage Mr Laniado. His office provided excellent support throughout with prompt and helpful communication. My faith in Mr Laniado was confirmed at each stage: prior to surgery, on the day, the day after, and during the follow-up. I have no hesitation in unreservedly recommending him to others in my situation.

I have just returned home after a full hip replacement. We were recommended to St Joseph’s and I can’t speak highly enough of the team and the care I received. Many things stand out. The friendly, yet professional ambience, the obviously good relations and communications across all staff. Although my visit lasted only just over 24 hours, at no time did anything feel rushed or ‘conveyor belt’. Just well organised with a feeling that I was being very well looked after. The room and facilities were first class, comfortable and super clean. The operation itself was clearly explained and went without hitch. There was a lot of experience in that room, not least of the lead consultant and anaesthetist. Recovery was also much quicker than I expected, with excellent follow on from the Physio team and 6 sessions into the future as part of the package. I would finally like to express my thanks to all the staff who have made such a positive difference for me.

I truly felt supported and reassured every step of the way. Dr. Jolly’s confidence in his work was very reassuring and made me feel completely safe in his hands. Since having the squint surgery, my life has honestly changed. My confidence is now through the roof, and for the first time I can comfortably hold eye contact with people when speaking to them. I cannot thank Dr. Jolly enough for what he has done for me. I am beyond grateful and would highly recommend him to anyone considering this surgery.

I recently visited Fitzrovia Hospital and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The facility is clean, well organised, and welcoming, but what truly stood out was the care of all staff, friendly, supportive and specifically the exceptional care provided by Kate. Kate was warm attentive, and incredibly professional throughout my visits. She took time to care for me and explain all things clearly, was patient and I felt hugely comfortable and supported. Her kindness and calm approach made a huge difference, and I genuinely felt in safe hands. A professional surgical process and experience with timely post op follow up with due care and attention by each and every staff member. Highly recommend.

Very happy with the set up all round. Consultant amazingly helpful in comparison. He was extremely knowledgeable and very concerned . I liked the fact that he actually listened when I explained my problem. ( Its tedious even for me to hear so I can understand the need to switch off at times)...!...but obviously extremely painful ! The actual appointment with the consultant was about 30 minutes. He examined me and advised medication for immediately and perhaps in the future. Excellent man ,so nice . My overall experience was excellent. However when I got home I found I wasn't completely sure/ had forgotten exactly when and how to take all the medicines I was given and when to stop e.g. how slowly to reduce the codeine when I didn't need it any more. Clearly printed instructions to take home would have been reassuring straight away and later. I know I could have rung the Horder Centre any time for advice but at 82 years old my hearing is less than perfect and I worry I shall not remember everything I hear afterwards. The Horder hip replacement book is excellent and is still a constant source of referral and encouragement.
