After the surgery, he came to see us straight away and explained exactly how everything had gone. Throughout Olivia’s stay, he regularly checked on her, always making sure she was comfortable and fully reassured. His bedside manner is exceptional, and Olivia felt completely safe and supported at every stage. The results have been nothing short of incredible. Olivia’s scoliosis was extremely severe, yet Mr Silk has managed to correct her spine with unbelievable results. She has gone from 5'2" to 5'5" overnight.something we never imagined was possible. Her back is perfectly and the transformation is unbelievable. We could not have asked for a better surgeon. His skill, professionalism, care and compassion have truly changed Olivia’s life. We will be forever grateful to him. I cannot recommend Mr Silk highly enough, he is outstanding in every way.

My son was born with severe club foot in both feet, and his condition was very worrying from the beginning. His treatment started on the 5th day after his birth. Today, at just 2 years old, my son can walk, run, do all his daily activities, and has even started playing football. Seeing this progress feels like a miracle to us, and it has only been possible because of the timely involvement, dedication, and expertise of Mr. Verma. Mr. Verma not only treated our son but also guided us through every step, gave us strength, and supported us during one of the toughest times of our lives. A month ago I had the arthrosamid injection. I had never heard of it and initially I went online to find out how others were treating their oesteoarthritis. I found the Joint Clinic quite quickly and was amazed to read that this injection would last about 3 years rather than 3 months for the NHS cortisol injection. My knee was causing a lot of pain especially when the weather changed. I was unable to walk properly, I couldn't walk up or down stairs. My work involves walking and I really thought I would have to retire because of the pain. From day 2 of the injection, I was beginning to walk without as much pain, about 2 weeks later I wasn't limping or experiencing pain at all. It took about 3 weeks to be able to walk up and down stairs without pain. I no longer need anti inflammatory drugs (that was always hit or miss if they would work). I am very pleased with the outcome at the one month mark and I hope my knee pain is no more for years!

The appointment itself was very positive. Dr. Robert Gordon was calm, validating, and genuinely listened. The room was quiet, warm, and set up like a cosy study, which made it feel safe rather than clinical. He explained the diagnostic impressions clearly at the end in a way that finally made sense, and it didn’t feel dismissive. I left feeling understood in a way I haven’t experienced with other services, although the level of positivity felt unexpected and left me a bit uncertain about how to interpret it. The only issue was the arrival process. My appointment was in the late evening, and reception was closed. It wasn’t clear where to check in, and I had no phone signal. I had to rely on Wi-Fi and the website photos to work out where to wait. Overall, despite the initial uncertainty about the building, the clinical experience was extremely positive. Everything went smoothly, and the assessment itself was very professional.

After having ankle replacement surgery on 28/10/2025 which went very well from admission to discharge I returned today 16/12/2025 to have the plaster cast removed and fitted with a moon boot. My overall experience with Nottingham City Hospital and Mr Raglan and his team was more than satisfactory and in no way an unpleasant experience due to the excellent care of everyone involved with myself. I felt that every step was explained to me in a concise manner and I felt confident this was the right path for me. Anyone needing ankle replacement surgery should be reassured that Mr Raglan, his team and all the nursing staff will care for you In a befitting manner and there really is nothing to worry about. My overall experience was excellent. However when I got home I found I wasn't completely sure/ had forgotten exactly when and how to take all the medicines I was given and when to stop e.g. how slowly to reduce the codeine when I didn't need it any more. Clearly printed instructions to take home would have been reassuring straight away and later. I know I could have rung the Horder Centre any time for advice but at 82 years old my hearing is less than perfect and I worry I shall not remember everything I hear afterwards. The Horder hip replacement book is excellent and is still a constant source of referral and encouragement.

Holly House and its staff are excellent. The whole atmosphere was one of cleanliness, professionalism and friendliness Particular mention should go to Mo, my nurse throughout the day. He was calm, honest and made me feel comfortable and that my concerns were listened to. A great asset to the staff. (My only complaint was I was told to arrive at 6.30am, as I was to be first on the list at 7.30am; to then be told my operation would not be until midday. I didn't even bring a book! However, I did get to watch four episodes of Frasier back-to-back, so it wasn't all bad!)
