Although I'm based in the north of England, under London Prostate Clinic they had been keeping a watching brief on a low level prostate cancer diagnosis and enlarged prostate since 2018. Taking a daily Tamsulosin tablet had been effective until December last year when I had a UTI that made me quite ill. In March this year, another serious UTI caused me to have a catheter fitted at an A+E hospital. My difficulty passing urine had worsened due to the increasing enlargement of the prostate, so after research I decided that the HoLep route of treatment would be the most effective and have the least side effects long term. I discovered Dr. Matthew Liew working out of Spire Manchester hospital and from the first consultation he put my mind at ease with his calm professional manner and good humour. The operation date was arranged within 3 months and was a complete success. I am now back to normal urine flow and complete bladder emptying. My PSA reading has dropped from a high of 11.5 to 5.2. I had 2 post op consultations with Dr. Liew where any questions or concerns were discussed and I am now looking forward to maintaining a normal life, urologically speaking! (age 66).

Having worked for a group of plastic surgeons in the past, I received my 1st ever botox & fillers treatment on my 50th b'day from a leading Consultant, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon, Ms Effie Katsarma. After I left the hospital/ industry, I was eager to find an aesthetic nurse practitioner who could maintain her high standard of work. My research eventually led me to Giacinto. I'm particularly fussy & wanted a medically qualified & skillful aesthetic nurse with a keen, creative eye. I knew instantly Giacinto was exceptional. He has been maintaining my ongoing botox requirements for approx the past 7/8 yrs. I've also recently had profilio & fillers for the 1st time at his Harley St practice. He never tries to upsell, is highly knowledgeable & always achieves a fantastic aesthetic result (no bruising!). He is an absolute pleasure to deal with, I trust him implicitly & wouldn't dream of going to anyone else... I highly recommend him.

We took our baby to Dr Sood because he'd had diarrhea for 3 weeks and was chronically very spewy. Dr Sood diagnosed gastroenteritis, which is fine, but he also told us we shouldn't feed our (exclusively breastfed and four months old) baby more than every 3-4 hours, and that when he cried for milk sooner than that we should "put cotton wool in [our] ears". We've since been told by NHS doctors and health visitors that this is very old-fashioned advice that could cause dehydration in a diarrhetic baby. He also said to give 6 feeds a day, but we realised when we got home that it's not possible to follow both pieces of advice without waking him up in the night for extra night feeds! (We did tell Dr Sood that our baby sleeps 11 hours at night with just one night feed, but he didn't seem to believe us?)

I suffered a severe full pectoral rupture in 2021 during the Powerlifting British Championships, attempting a 190kg bench. Mr. Jariwala reviewed and scheduled and urgent surgery explaining the steps throughout. Following a long surgery my pec was reattached and the extent of the repair was thoroughly explained. Quite a large scar was left but very little physical deformity can be noticed. Recovery was painful, but as a powerlifting coach it was very important that I managed to recover in order to continue my participation in the sport. I was back to competitive lifting within two years and with continued focus on strengthening I was able to bench 200kg in November 2025, more than I had ever attempted prior to injury.

Mr Al Lami is friendly, professional and explains conditions very well. I was surprised to hear that there were simple procedures, such as a Barium swallow, which could not be done (with payment) at WHH. That was a benefit I had expected of attending a relatively small private hospital that is next door to a main Kent NHS one. However the process of referral to another hospital was very quick ; and I got an appointment for radiography tomorrow , also very quick , so I am pleased with the service. I do hope there will be a surgical cancellation on his list that will allow me to have any procedures necessary completed before January .

At 50 years old I wondered whether the operation was worth while and considered whether to go through with the process. However, after meeting Mr Farrar and getting a clear understanding of the procedure and the recovery period I decided to go ahead. The procedure took place in June and I was back cycling and exercising in September. The first 6 weeks of recovery are a bit tedious, and this was clearly explained to me. Would I go through with it again? Yes, however really do hope that I don`t need to!! Thanks you very much to Mr Farrar and the team - Outstanding Job!!

Was a little confused and concerned with all the last minute changes for surgery, then to be told and left waiting in a room for surgery to then say ur appointment was not the appointment time when u came in on our computer so they did change my appointment time! Other than that surgeon was fantastic brilliant and friendly After Care - as given a bag of meds and a latter and cards for the doctor with no sore dressings for wound area.

Very thorough, didn't feel rushed at all. I just don't know what exactly he found, what it means, or what it could mean long term. I am assuming he'll explain thoroughly at my next appointment once he has the test results. Though I don't know what the test entails either. An advisory in the appointment letter for patients to wear shorts under their trousers would be beneficial for modestly, or the loan of a gown.
