Mr Datta made what was an incredibly frightening and painful experience so much easier to cope with. I was diagnosed with a large kidney stone after an excruciatingly painful visit to A&E. I met Mr Datta a few days later, and he explained everything clearly and arranged for me to undergo a ureteroscopy just 14 days later, with seven days of pre-operative antibiotics beforehand. On admission to The Oaks, I was welcomed by friendly reception staff before being shown to a clean, comfortable room. The nursing team were kind, knowledgeable and carried out all my pre-operative checks with professionalism and compassion. The anaesthetist took the time to explain everything, and Mr Datta came to see me beforehand for a reassuring chat, which really helped put me at ease. Once I was in theatre, the whole team were incredibly friendly and reassuring. The last thing I remember hearing was, "Don't worry, we're going to take care of you." The next thing I knew, the procedure was over, and I genuinely felt as though I'd had the best sleep ever. The aftercare was equally outstanding. I was back home by late afternoon, and every follow-up appointment arranged by Mr Datta's secretary went smoothly and efficiently. I cannot rate Mr Datta and his entire team highly enough. Their professionalism, expertise, kindness and compassion made a very difficult experience so much easier. Thank you all for taking such wonderful care of me.

A year ago, I had surgery for fibroids, and almost a year later, on July 17, 2026, I returned to the hospital for a total abdominal hysterectomy, which was performed by Ms. Pushpakala Maharajan and her team. I was very pleased to be under the care of the same doctor again. The clinic is excellent—very clean, with spacious and comfortable rooms. The food was also very good. The staff were kind, professional, and always willing to help. I would like to personally thank Ms. Pushpakala Maharajan and the anesthesiologist Mark, for the excellent care they provided. I would also like to thank the day nurses, Aneta, Siji, and Sally, for their kindness and support. Night shift nurses Roxana and Anisha. Physiotherapist - Luiz. I have macular degeneration and it was discovered I needed cataract surgery as I am already blind in one eye due to the macular degeneration. I had a consultation in the Ratho clinic. On entering the clinic I was impressed with how spacious the clinic is the overall cleanliness and helpfulness of the receptionists. I was seen initially by Tony Minnelli who was very good at explaining everything to me and making sure I was aware that because of my macular degeneration they could not guarantee a successful outcome. I then saw Soo Park who was going to do the procedure the following week. He put me at ease and I felt very confident proceeding with the cataract op. On the day of my procedure the nurses and Soo Park were very kind and helpful. 6 weeks later I had my appointment with my optician and I no longer require distance glasses and only require glasses for reading. My eyesight is so much improved, I can even see my own face in a mirror which I could not do previously! I am delighted with the outcome it has exceeded my expectations and would recommend to anyone requiring cataract surgery.

Overall, the experience was good. My wait before being seeing to was longer than I expected; this was not an issue since I have retired. It was reassuring to realise that the patient before me was being given all the time necessary to complete the procedure, and that the surgical staff were not running to a timetable to meet a quota of some sort. In the pre-op period, I was instructed in the routine I was to follow in the weeks after the operation, In the surgery, I was made comfortable before the procedure began. There were no complications, and I was told that everything went well. On leaving I was given eye drops, gauze swabs and a sachet of saline solution. I was able to make my way home (by bus) without difficulty. Recovery is progressing well.

Having experienced some swelling and pain around a lower crowned molar over the weekend I was quickly given an appointment on the following Monday and seen very promptly. An X-ray was taken and clear advice given about my options. I elected to have an extraction followed in 3 months by a consultation for a dental implant. Although I was a little nervous about the extraction, not having had one for several years, it was painless and took very little time. In fact the whole process from the start of the consultation to explanatory remarks about after care took less than 30 minutes. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and expertness of both Dr Andy and the dental nurse practitioner and would highly recommend the practice for all treatments.

We had spent alot of time trying to find somewhere for a private cardiology assessment to check our child's heart before starting ADHD medication. I wish we had found MUMS first as it would have saved us alot of time and stress! Information was clear on the website and we were able to ring up and have all our questions answered then book The actual appointment was brilliant. We arrived a bit early but were seen almost straight away, the receptionists were friendly and the consultant was brilliant with our child who is neurodiverse, letting him ask lots of questions and working quickly to avoid him having to wait too long. We received an initial written report immediately and will receive the full report in around a week.

He would explaian all the options, give his recommendations with reasons and respond to all the patient's worries. Coffee and tea are provided and the waiting time is short before you have all your checks, etc. The surroundings are pleasant and spotless and it seems no time at all before you are seeing the surgeon. The nursing staff are excellent, although I note a notable difference between warmth and explanation 2 years ago to today. Today can be a little over focussed on task only - patients could do with warmth as well. The pharmacy area is an area of concern. I have raised it previously. There is inconsistency of service and one individual in particular does not listen, looks like he would prefer to be anywhere else, and does not inspire confidence. With my last visit he didn’t respond the question posed. I don’t have the energy to chase everything.
