I had been experiencing symptoms for more than six months and decided to go private when my NHS referral was postponed a second time. I was nervous beforehand, but Dr Gratwicke was very reassuring. He gave me time to explain my symptoms and listened carefully. He took into account my family medical history and carried out an examination with a chaperone present. I did not feel rushed or that my symptoms were being dismissed. He recommended two scans and clearly explained the purpose of each. His report of my initial consultation came through in less than a week and was detailed and accurate. Once the scans were done, I was able to see Dr Gratwicke soon after to get my results. Again, he explained everything clearly and gave me a good understanding of what was causing my symptoms. The MRI had flagged something else as well, which required me to contact Dr Gratwicke through his admin team after the appointment. He responded to the additional information I sent through the very next day, again putting my mind at rest. Dr Gratwicke is calm, reassuring and extremely efficient in terms of organising referrals and reporting results. I am very grateful to him for his time and expertise.

Christopher Payne From my very first appointment with Chris, I found him to be very approachable. He took time to listen to me and used humour where appropriate, which put me at ease immediately. Chris explained in detail what the operation would entail. He was very thorough and knowledgeable. He suggested that in order for the procedure to continue to be successful well after the operation that a reduction in weight would be essential. He offered advice on this which was very helpful. To give me time to lose weight we agreed on a future date for the operation. The hospital was very clean and everyone I came into contact with were pleasant, helpful, friendly and supportive and again I was put at ease. The operation was successful and the whole experience in the hospital was excellent. At the follow up appointment Chris was very thorough in examining the procedure and spent time discussing this. He explained that heavy lifting from now would not be advisable. This was all done in a conversational way. I'm still working with Karima, but I felt I wanted to share how much has shifted already. I came to therapy struggling with anger issues and relational trauma that was affecting every relationship in my life, particularly with my family. Karima has been brilliant at helping me understand where the anger comes from and, more importantly, how to work with it rather than being controlled by it. She's patient, non-judgemental, and has this way of helping you see patterns without making you feel criticised. The real measure of progress for me is this: I'm actually looking forward to spending Christmas with my family this year. In previous years, I'd dread it - the tension, the miscommunication, feeling misunderstood or easily triggered. But the work I've done with Karima has genuinely changed how I communicate with them and how I manage my reactions. I know I've still got work to do, but for the first time in a long time, I feel hopeful about my relationships and like I'm not constantly battling with myself. If you're struggling with anger or family dynamics, I can't recommend Karima highly enough.

Everyone I spoke with and interacted with was invaluable and answered all my questions clearly and with as much information as I wanted. They recommended various pieces of advice tailored to any issues I was having, which contributed to my quick healing and recovery process. The anaesthetist, Paul Bailey, used for our surgery was really helpful and understanding before, during and after the surgery in advising me on the best way to manage the post-op pain. My day nurse Gary, and night nurse Debbie, were both really friendly and professional, constantly checking in to see if I needed anything or if they could help. Even down to the porters and food service, which was really nice and accommodating with food choices and timing as and when I needed. It just seemed everyone there was trying their best to help as much as possible to make everyone comfortable.

Initial experience poor. Arrived at reception, receptionist was on the phone. When call ended she walked away to do some admin. No 'Be with you in a moment'. When she came back, no smile and 'Welcome to One Hatfield' Just 'Have you been here before?' 'No' Well here's a form to fill in'. Felt a nuisance getting in the way of her important phone calls and administration work. Waiting area tired looking, main circular seating area looked like it needed a good clean. Strange seating arrangement with very narrow gaps to get through into main area. People called for their appointments from different directions and hard to hear names being called. Consultant seen was excellent, which raised the end experience overall. But not enough to make up for the indifferent receptionist.

I recently relocated back to the UK and required a specialist in Parkinson's, following my diagnosis in the Netherlands. My wife and I found DR Rakshi on Doctify through HCA Healthcare website. I have found the excellent reviews Dr James Rakshi has received to be completely justified. He is an excellent communicator, listener and gave me clear uncomplicated diagnosis. Dr Rakshi undertook a through examination, including an MRI (which i had not had previously). We meet 3 times after the initial consultation and as a result made changes to my medication regime. This has resulted in a much better management of my symptoms and improved nights sleep.

My experience at the McIndoe centre was incredible. Throughout my surgery and stay the entire team were incredibly kind and caring. I was given plenty of reassurance prior to my surgery, everyone involved during my surgery was incredibly professional and the aftercare following my surgery was incredible. All of my nurses were incredibly kind and helpful and made the process so much easier. I had a great private room and bathroom, and the food was also great! Cannot recommend the McIndoe centre enough, they will be my first choice should I have any more procedures in future

I am transformed! I came to see Mrs Langton Hewer because I had suddenly gone completely deaf in one ear. She listened to me when I explained my anxieties and then examined my ears. She diagnosed otis externa which was causing pain and there was water behind the wax causing deafness. She then very carefully removed wax and debris from my ear and my hearing was immediately restored. I am so grateful that this was diagnosed so expertly and then sorted out immediately. I would strongly recommend her for ear problems and for removal of ear wax. Thank you.

Waiting over 60 minutes for an appointment that you schedule and pay for is quite poor. The excuse I got is gynaecologist appointments take longer. Okay, then play’ 30-60 mins between slots to allow for adequate timing. I had to get out of work and work the extra time that had I been offered the actual appointment time I wouldn’t have had to do that. Change your gynaecologist appointments calendar please

I think it was really good that I had two follow up phone calls from him following the surgery as it was more complex than expected and he wanted to check in to ensure I was doing ok. My gp advised me I could have a cancer but Dr Shachi said I should wait for the results and enjoy my Christmas.
