I had a fantastic experience at Nuffield St Barts. I was scheduled for a knee arthroscopy and the process from start to finish was faultless. When I arrived on the day a very friendly porter showed me to the room. I didn’t catch his name but he was in great spirits and having a chat in the lift made me feel welcomed. I had a couple of hours to wait in my room before surgery, during which time I had visits from some lovely nurses as well as my surgeon and anaesthetist. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful and kind. Surgery itself was a breeze. The anaesthetist took great care to make sure I wasn’t nervous and I woke up feeling like I had the best sleep ever. Having returned to my room the nurses kept checking on me to see how I was doing and whether I needed anything. They brought me a coffee and biscuits and then my lunch, which really hit the spot after fasting all morning. A lovely physio made sure I was safe and confident getting around and up and down stairs with my crutches. The pharmacist even brought my prescription straight to me. My surgeon popped in for a debrief between cases and I was ever so happy with the outcome. My nurse gave me very clear guidance on what to do and expect during recovery, and by 3pm I was on my way home. From start to finish I had a fantastic experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hospital.

All of the staff are amazing and friendly, and there are quick response times. I think the service is reasonably priced albeit a little expensive for some people, though definitely not as bad as some other clinics that don't offer nearly the level of service here. The doctor was open to discussion about medications/dosages within reasonable bounds which is great because it shows that they are willing to listen to you. Additionally, whilst I didn't personally use this service, I think that it is really good that you offer a service for those who DIY. It really comforted me at the beginning as I had considered DIY in the past and I knew that some doctors are adamantly opposed to DIY. The fact that you have a seperate service for this is great because DIY is a cornerstone of the trans community and it shows you really understand the needs of trans people. My only constructive feedback would be that it might be worth putting some FAQs on the website as I had to ask the team about quite a lot of small details, which I'm sure must have been a bit exhausting. Thank you!

The process from start to finish was very easy and was made to feel at ease from the get go. From booking to the recovery room. My partner chose the clinic after being recommended by another surgeon and I’m glad we listened. The family waiting room was comfortable with plenty of snacks and entertainment, I was kept up to date throughout the whole process. The nurses and Dr where amazing they instantly made me feel comfortable as I suffer from anxiety and was extremely nervous as I don’t like needles or anything surgery wise, they chatted to me about general stuff and constantly checked I was ok, DR applied more local anaesthetic whenever I mentioned I felt anything. The entire process was so relaxed that after the first hour I fell asleep which I never thought I’d be able to do, they looked after me so well and I can’t thank all the staff enough!

I’ve recently started to see Dr Radley for some challenging perimenopause symptoms including GSM/atrophy, which I’m finding painful and distressing. I’ve found her to be exceptionally compassionate and kind. She has listened to my fears and concerns and been very patient with me. Dr Radley is very knowledgeable - I feel that I can trust her to do the best for me. Her clinic letters are some of the best I’ve seen - clear, detailed, useful. She explains things well. Her help has been invaluable over the last few weeks. I’m scared about what the future holds but feel glad I have someone excellent in my corner. The admin team at the Menopause Clinic are also compassionate and excellent. Thank you. I would recommend you to friends.

I spent 5 nights at the Cromwell hospital and two in intense care, the care I received from the nurses was excellent, I was looked after very well. I was also visited by staff from the physiotherapy department, dietitians, pharmacists and pain management team and found them to be very friendly and caring and they gave me excellent advice. I only had one issue which was when I was there there were some issues with catering so it did take a while to receive my food.

Mr Hassan Elhassan

I've been suffering from a blocked nose since childhood, caused by vasomotor rhinitis and a deviated septum, which further narrowed the airways of my right nostril. I had undergone multiple surgeries before, to no avail. Mr Elhassan was actually able to solve the problem by performing a septoplasty and middle turbinate resection. Mr Elhassan is an excellent surgeon, and I can strongly recommend seeing him to anyone suffering from nasal breathing problems.

I found Mr Omih, very clear in his questions and explanations. I understood what was happening. The procedure felt effortless and I was confident I was in good hands. The really outstanding part was how Mr Omih and the nursing team interacted with each other and with me. Engaging, comforting, caring, respectful of each other but showed a great working relationship between them. And putting me at ease and checking appropriately. Really nice to see.

Booking process was easy with many questions answers, on the day I was explained thoroughly what was happening during the procedure aswell aftercare, I was nervous going in as a first timer but it’s was honestly almost painless if you’re in any doubt on whether to have it done or not I would go for it, I’m one day out swelling has went down with slight bruising nothing to be concerned about. Happy with results and will be returning for more.

You don’t get warned about having to wait a long time after your admission time. It’s very unclear how long this could be. Especially if you’re told not to eat 6 hours before you end up waiting at least 8 hours without eating. But as for staff and doctors they was lovely and very calming considering the amount of pain I was in during the procedure.
