Dr Hedley Berry

Dr Hedley Berry is a Consultant Rheumatologist and General Physician who works at The Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow, with his private practice based in Harley Street. With over 25 years of experience, he is known for precise diagnostics and personalised care, with a commitment to advancing treatment in musculoskeletal and autoimmune disorders.

His clinical interests include rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, reactive arthritis, psoriatic arthropathy, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), ankylosing spondylitis, gout and osteoporosis. He also sees patients with lower back and neck pain, non-surgical knee pain, shoulder and wrist pain, tennis elbow, fibromyalgia and work-related upper limb pain.

Dr Berry began his medical training at Wadham College, Oxford, followed by clinical studies at Guy’s Hospital Medical School in London. His early clinical experience included working as a House Physician at Guy’s and later as a Senior House Officer and Senior Registrar in Cardiology at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. He subsequently specialised in Rheumatology at the Royal London Hospital and later obtained his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Oxford, where he conducted research on anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic therapies.

For more than two decades, Dr Berry worked as an NHS Consultant at King's College Hospital, where he taught Rheumatology to medical students. He was also appointed as a recognised educator by the University of London. His academic work includes more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, and he has lectured internationally on advances in the treatment of rheumatic disease.

Dr Berry is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and a member of the British Society of Rheumatology and the Royal Society of Medicine.
