I needed a catheter for two weeks and I did find this more uncomfortable than I had expected, and the two weeks after it was removed weren’t much better, but suddenly after 5 weeks the improvements were almost instantaneous- with a flow rate just like I last experienced as a 20 year old, with no discomfort, as I now am able to completely empty my bladder when I need to.
