I had a distance lens inserted on my right eye and Mr. Mazen Tahhan gave me his telephone number and said to call him if I had a problem. I am a keen insect photographer and noticed with the distance lens I could not see my camera screen clearly. I was very worried about the impact on my photography skills and ability to focus on very small insects. About 8 p.m. I sent him a text and he immediately called me. He listened to my worries and when I asked about non NHS lens he sent me a lot of information on these to consider. Next day he called back and after more discussion recommended I stay with an NHS close-up lens and get as much light as possible into the eye. I followed his advice and am very, very pleased with the result and now feel confident I can continue enjoy my rewarding interest in insects. I really appreciated how he understood my concerns and helped me to make the right decision.

I had an initial consultation for varicose vein treatment (following a flyer in the post) and following further investigations/diagnosis I went ahead and had an operation. The whole experience from beginning to end was first class. Everything was fully explained to me and all my questions were answered before deciding on the most appropriate treatment. The operation (under local anaesthetic) went well with a nurse talking to me all the time and explaining everything which was happening as as well as distracting me! My recovery went as planned - and as explained - and a follow up visit to see the consultant was very reassuring. All in all I was very pleased with everything and would not hesitate in recommending Shepton Mallet Hospital.

She showed exceptional compassion and empathy, listened carefully to every concern, and addressed each point thoroughly and individually. No question felt rushed or unwelcome. This review honestly doesn’t do justice to the standard of service we received. I left the appointment feeling completely reassured and confident that I was in the safest hands. Speaking with her felt like talking to someone I had known for years—she was patient and so attentive. After seeing several gynecologists, Mr Raza was at last the most reassuring and straight forward in explaining why having a robotic laparoscopic hysterectomy would be the best way forward for me. I am now 6 weeks post op and I am feeling great. I am continuing to be amazed by how small my scar is (2cm!). I would highly recommend Mr Raza to any women doubting whether to have the operation. Every person is different of course but he is so knowledgeable, kind and professional. Mr Tibrewal and his team have given me care and attention that went beyond my expectations. I had been suffering for years with pains in my right knee. I had been misdiagnosed twice by NHS and another privately funded surgeon. Within 30 seconds of my appointment with Mr Tibrewal said “I know what’s wrong with you, take a seat”. (Long story short my ACL in my right knee was torn completely from an old rugby injury). I knew after that I was in the best of hands with him. This was my 2 nd cataract op with Mr Kamran Khan at Newmedica Leeds. I was very happy with my treatment with everyone especially Wr Kamran Khan who I can’t recommend enough, he was friendly, assuring and also the lovely nurse who looked after me after my op. Sorry I can’t remember her name but she was so caring. Anyone going for a cararact op this place is brilliant and everyone I came in contact with both times I was there I feel I couldn’t have had better. Someone calls you the following day to check that you are okay so everything perfect. Thank you all.

He was patient, friendly and made an effort to understand the symptoms I have been experiencing for some time. He quickly assigned my case to Dr Mark Samaan and appointments allocated swiftly too. I came away feeling reassured by that the Cleveland Clinic would be able to help. Also, the clinic is well kept, clean and comfortable. That is a massive plus too!

My partner and I came to the Agora for a fertility assessment as we've been trying to conceive for a couple of years. The doctor was kind in explaining our results and gave a clear plan of what they recommend moving forwards. I chose the clinic based on the good reviews and we are so happy that we did. All the staff we have come across have been very nice and answered any questions that we had. We feel comfortable choosing the Agora for IVF even though this is an unknown road ahead, i feel supported.

It was such a contrast from the NHS left eye cataract operation where I was not given the required information that there would be no compensation for my high level of astigmatism and the outcome of an even greater astigmatism due to a less than perfect lens fitting. Professor Bourne answered all my questions fully and clearly and the outcome of the operation was perfect vision in my right eye. Fantastic!
