It is a pleasure to provide the following review of the experience, assistance and advice that I received from Dr. Farooq during the last 18 months when I was quite seriously ill. At the early part of 2025 I suffered a severe lack of breath and after a discussion with my GP decided to attend at The Spire for a scan. Luckily for me, Dr. Farooq saw and examined the results of that scan and before I got home he telephoned me to state that I should go to the hospital immediately and he would endeavour to obtain a bed. During my stay in hospital Dr. Farooq arranged for a number of tests and scans - such as Echocardiogram and an Ambulatory Monitor - to be undertaken and upon my discharge he arranged for a Life Vest to be supplied and fitted which I wore for some 2 months. In addition upon leaving hospital it was found that I had developed drop foot to my right leg and again Dr. Farooq subsequently arranged for a stroke consultant to investigate. I have since attended a number of follow up appointments with Dr Farooq and receive, a few days after those appointments, a detailed letter from him – a copy of which also goes to my GP – setting out my progress to date and reviewing my medication. My experience with Dr. Farooq has been exemplary and his explanation of my current state of health at those follow up appointments have been particularly thorough - each one was undertaken with the utmost of professional standards - together with a touch of humour !! I regard myself as being very fortunate to have received this standard of care and treatment from Dr. Farooq. May 2026

Dr Burcombe thoroughly reviewed my cancer journey from the very beginning, carefully going through every single diagnostic procedure, biopsy, adverse events and result. Very well-organised appointments and professional staff throughout. Mr Sheikh clearly demonstrates profound knowledge and extensive experience in his profession. Without any prompting, he explained step by step what was required before, during, and after the surgery. This level of communication and attention to detail reflects a strong duty of care towards his patients and immediately put me at ease. I was experiencing significant anxiety due to having CF/ME, and Mr Sheikh personally took the time to call me and provide reassurance, which I greatly appreciated. His kindness and understanding made a real difference. His staff were also approachable, responsive, and happy to communicate whenever I had questions. I was surprised that the rooms in the London Clinic were old, but as I did not stay overnight, it was not an issue. The staff were very friendly and efficient, however sometimes too friendly as the man who wheeled me in for my second eye (cataracts), was chatting away, when I had been sedated. As a result, I was wide awake, especially as the darkened room I lay waiting in before for my first op (with heated blankets) was not ready, and so I was in the bright lights, with people around talking and then I walked into the surgery. So the second eye op at the London Clinic was not a great experience, compared to the first, which was seamless. The food (if not the coffee!) was good afterwards and the staff attentive and responsive.

Dr Nicholas has been so very fantastic, I cannot recommend him enough! Having had 2 very difficult and traumatic epidurals with my first 2 children, I was feeling extremely anxious in the lead up to my birth, but Dr Nicholas saw me for an anaesthetic review during pregnancy where we went through my history thoroughly, and made a plan for my C Section whilst ensuring I understood and felt comfortable with everything. On the day of my C Section, he was so reassuring to me and my partner, and did a wonderful Spinal anaesthetic which worked perfectly, and supported us with the birth of our 3rd baby in such a compassionate, kind and fun way! We can’t thank him enough for being so great!

I came to Erin to address some running injuries, specifically hip and ankle pain. From the very first day the experience working with her has been incredible. She was the first physio to truly look at my injuries holistically, and really consider how weaknesses in one part of my body could have resulted in an injury. Erin always confirmed her hypothesis about injuries with rigorous testing and always made sure that I perform strengthening exercises correctly. Thanks to Erin, I went from wondering if I will ever be able to run half marathon again, to completing a marathon in a great time (and injury free!).

I feel so very fortunate to have Mr Nick Clerk as my consultant. From my initial hospital appointment to post-op recovery - Mr Clerk has been absolutely wonderful. I have been so impressed with the care I received. Mr Clerk is very approachable and easy to talk too. I never felt rushed, he always took time to explain things and answer questions. I was treated with kindness, dignity and respect throughout. Mr Clerk checked up on me regularly after surgery- which was very reassuring. My surgery was a complete success and everything went smoothly. A huge thank you for everything you do.

I already had a hip replacement, this was carried out at a Nuffield private hospital 13 years ago. My recent replacement to my other hip was carried out at the Edgbaston Practice Plus Hospital by Mr Malek. My surgery went really well, the scar is much smaller and there was a lot less muscle impact, this has resulted in a very speedy recovery and the hip has felt really secure from the offset. I think the speed, professionalism and quality of the whole team (and especially Mr Malek) has been exemplary. I would happily recommend both the surgeon and the hospital.

Mr Singh was excellent throughout my son’s ENT treatment. My son is non verbal and awaiting an ASD assessment, and Mr Singh was incredibly patient, understanding, and caring. He did everything possible to make my son feel comfortable during appointments and fully understood how to work with both him and us as parents. Following his treatment, including grommet insertion and adenoid removal, we have always found Mr Singh very approachable, knowledgeable, and easy to deal with. We are extremely grateful for the care and support he has provided.

I had an upper bleph with Dr Sherafat to correct for heaviness and headaches caused by extra skin on my eyelids. He was conservative and balanced during our several initial consultations. I felt he really did the work to gather his own convictions as an expert in the course of treatment he advised - ultimately the upper bleph. In terms of execution, he is such a professional and the results have absolutely blown me away. The heaviness is completely gone and the aesthetic result is incredible. Natural and attractive. He absolutely nailed it.
