I recently underwent a mini tummy tuck procedure with Jane Kirby after years of being very self conscious with the appearance of my lower belly. After my first consultation with Jane I knew that she was the right surgeon for me, she was very professional, personable and her excellent bedside manner made me feel at ease. Jane took the time to listened to my concerns and what I hoped to achieve with surgery as well as explaining the procedure at length with realistic and achievable outcomes. Pre and postoperative instructions were discussed in length about what to expect on the day of the surgery and what the healing and recovery process would involve. Jane also kindly send me recommendations of post operative clothing which would help aid with my recovery. The day of the surgery I was looked after by an amazing team and the surgery went very well, I was definitely in the best hands with Jane as my surgeon. The post operative care was outstanding, Jane would check in daily for the first 3 days and then weekly from then as well as face to face appointments, I knew that if I had any questions or concerns Jane would definitely be there if needed. My recovery went well, with minimal pain and discomfort. I strictly followed the post operative advice given - sleeping in the correct position, wearing my binder provided and compression shorts, this definitely helped my recovery go as smooth as possible. I am now 9 weeks post surgery and the results have exceeded my expectations, Jane is a very skilled surgeon and my scar is so neat and flat, my lower tummy is flatter and firmer. Jane is such a warm, friendly person and a very professional, knowledgeable skilled surgeon. Jane has given me my confidence back and I cannot thank her enough. If anyone is thinking of having any plastic or cosmetic surgery I can not recommend her enough, she is an absolute credit to the medical profession.

I attended for spinal MRI. Unfortunately the technician was running late for which I was happy to wait but because of timing his communication to me was very poor. I was shown a room to change and left there without any guidance, I was then taken to the MRI machine and not spoken to really to ask if I was okay or to provide any reassurance. I don’t like MRI scans because can feel anxious within the machine. All it takes is a little bit of reassurance and acknowledgement for which I had none. Throughout the test the technician did not speak to me at all to ask if I was okay. I am not sure if this is normal but I found during the MRI it became quite hot which I have not experienced before. When the test was over he hurried me away from the machine without acknowledging my back could be hurting when getting up, which it was a little. He didn’t show me to the door so I had to ask if I was allowed to go and then left the room to change and go home. My review would be it is the smallest common curtesies that makes all the difference to a patient and this time I did not experience this at all. So much so I won’t be choosing to go to this venue for another investigation

Kingsbridge Diagnostic and Treatment Centre

I travelled by car from the north west to the Kingsbridge Diagnostic Centre, tucked in behind the Kings Hall. Parking was difficult to find, and as the letter instructed me to arrive 15 minutes early, I anxiously clambered out, leaving my husband to park the car while I located the building and the correct floor. The reception staff were mediocre at best, though I did manage to get checked in. Once called through, the procedure itself was completed and an outcome provided. However, the consultant was abrupt and condescending. While I appreciate that private healthcare is under pressure due to NHS waiting times, this is not the standard of service I would expect for something I am paying for. The assistant involved in the process appeared either tired or lacking job satisfaction in their role. Altogether, the atmosphere was dispiriting, and I could not wait to leave the building and be on my way.

From the very first appointment, Dr. Mellon made me feel supported, informed, and truly cared for. Her calm, reassuring presence made a world of difference, especially as my due date approached. During labor and delivery, Dr. Mellon was compassionate, attentive, and incredibly skilled—everything you could hope for in such an important moment. I felt safe in her hands every step of the way. I cannot thank Dr. Mellon enough for helping bring my daughter into the world with such kindness and professionalism. She is an exceptional OB, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for outstanding care.

I went into The London Clinic for a Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy under general anaesthetic. I was quite anxious when I first arrived in the theatre ward as I had a migraine and also had to walk a long way and ascend a busy lift from my room to the theatre on the other side of the hospital and I had been fasting for 24 hours at that point. Dr Rajendran visited me before the anaesthetic and he was very patient and kind and spent a lot of time with me explaining what to expect, he made me feel calm and relaxed. After the procedure he visited me once I had woken up and explained what he had found. I then had a follow-up telephone call with him a few days later where he was again very patient and able to explain everything to me in great detail. It is very much appreciated. Thank you.

I was seen by Dr Heggy and a lovely staff nurse Charlotte. Dr Heggy was fantastic he actually listened to me. He listened to exactly how I was and had been feeling. I'd been told by another Dr that there was nothing that could be done so I had to see someone for pain management. I'm in pain everyday and just wanted a resolution or at least pin point what could be wrong. Dr Heggy really made me feel heard and suggested other things before we gave up and just give me medication for my pain. Nurse Charlotte was fantastic. While Dr Heggy was looking things up and trying to find other options Charlotte spoke to me like an actual human. So thank you to Dr Heggy and nurse Charlotte for your time and patience with me. It's very much appreciated

I loved the day staff. Ikram and Sennecca treated me with such kindness and so much support. I unfortunately was discharged after a week as I have other issues that need addressing before I am able to continue the treatment. The night staff in my experience have not been very attentive to my distress. As nights are the hardest time for me this was quite a big issue for me. Dr Veale is great and really knows what he is talking about. The rooms feel like a hotel and the program is scary but excellent here. Food is another issue for me and the kitchen are very accommodating to needs but the general menu is very eclectic. Overall I would say this is a very good hospital and I've seen patients with real change here.

I visited Mr Natt this week after experiencing tightness in my throat. He took the time to ask thorough questions to understand the issue and carried out a nasal endoscopy to investigate further. Throughout the procedure, he explained everything clearly, checked that I was comfortable, and showed genuine concern for my wellbeing. When the issue became visible on the screen, he carefully explained what was happening in a way that put my mind at ease. Mr Natt was kind, professional, and attentive from start to finish. I felt very well cared for and would highly recommend him.

Initial assessments were thorough and the clinicians were kind and understanding. Prescription costs seem affordable and my first prescribed medications were a slight improvement to before. My second prescription was not approved/provided on time and rationing medications/running out for a few days has caused some stress I had bad withdrawal/negative wellbeing from being requested to stop a previous medication, I feel this was somewhat unavoidable but I was not informed of what to expect stopping that med and left to work out the cause of the feelings on my own

Visit was in Luton and Dunstable hospital. I have arrived early for appointment and seen straight away by nurse on duty for first checks.( hight/weight). Then Doctors Gyampoh has seen me for a verbal consultation explained process regarding my concern regarding the condition and scan on the day. After that scan took place with another Doctor. After that Dr. Gyampoh thoroughly have explained my scan,outcome, options and process going forward. Great experience thank you very much. Keep up the good work and experience with patience.

Mr Omar Mulla

Dr Mulla listened... fortunately he is up to date on my particular, rather ambiguous, condition. I get the impression that he keeps up to date with latest developments and findings in his field of ENT. If only I had been able to see him 18 months ago, I would have been sorted in just one consultation. He is very personable, professional, friendly and efficent (by that I mean he dictated his letter to my GP in front of me before I left my appointment). This was a moment when you feel the NHS is at its best.

Dr Harding was great. I felt I didn’t answer the questions correctly. With my brain fog, especially at the end of the day, I cannot always find ways to explain things so when asked how something made me feel I couldn’t find the words so said I do not know. If I had some of the questions before hand, I would be able to process and explain it all better. I feel I failed to tell him about how it impacts my daily to day life with fatigue, feeling dizzy, nausea, digestive issues etc.

I have suffered osteoarthritis in my right knee for over 4 years. My mobility had deteriorated badly. Just to get out of a chair was excruciating. I received a total knee replacement under Mr Andy Gray at Tees Valley hospital in July 2025. 4 months on and my life has been changed totally. I am totally pain free, fully mobile. I regularly go for 5 mile walks without pain or a limp. My scar has now healed and is virtually invisible. I cannot thank Mr Gray and his team enough.

I had two procedures at Ashtead Hospital and both were very good. Timely, calm, courteous and considerate. My only suggestion is that the need to wait about an hour for the pupils to dilate was not explained in the booklet. I knew second time around but found the wait on the first occasion slightly frustrating - simply because I wasn't expecting it. Otherwise, very good indeed.
