I have been suffering from constipation for many years and my GP did all the usual tests and then put me on laxatives rather than finding out what the root cause was. I decided to go private and went to see Dr Magee, it was the first time I had ever felt listened to and acknowledged. I was prescribed new medication, not laxatives, and it has changed my life, I am no longer constipated and I have his direct email if I want to contact Dr Magee for support. I have not felt this well in over 7 years. The best decision I ever made.

I've dealt with a lot of consultants and specialists over the years because I've had long-standing health problems, and I don't think I've ever experienced such a personable, kind, patient, reassuring, and competent doctor. I only deducted one star from 'Overall Experience' because the colonoscopy had to be curtailed mid-procedure due to pain and then I had to go through the hellish Moviprep nauseating two day 'fast' thing all over again the following week. And I think the reason the first procedure had to be curtailed was possibly because I take Low Dose Naltrexone which is an opioid antagonist, and I feel the people over-seeing the anaesthesia may possibly have realised that that would interfere with the sedation and pain meds for the first colonoscopy (I wish I had, but didn't put two and two together - though I did declare I took Naltrexone). Anyway, as far as Dr Magee himself, he was a dream of a doctor and I wish him all the best.
