A Life-Changing Experience – Thank You My wife is 62 years old and has battled alcoholism for 27 years. She had been to rehab three times before, but this time was different. After losing her mother – her last remaining close relative – she turned to alcohol once again, retreating from the world in her grief. As a family, we were at breaking point. In a desperate effort to keep a promise to her late mother, I kept her at home until the funeral so she could attend sober. It was one of the hardest challenges I’ve ever faced, but I managed it. Sadly, after the funeral, the drinking returned and we lost her to the bottle once more. When a small inheritance came through, I decided to try again. From the very first conversation, they understood exactly what we were going through. They acted quickly, knowing how critical timing is — when an addict asks for help, you must act immediately before the addiction takes over again. Addiction is not just the addict’s disease — it affects the whole family. They supported all of us, not just my wife. It’s now been four months, and I see a change in her I have never seen before. She is beginning to embrace sobriety in a genuine, lasting way. She speaks openly when she feels low or has a difficult day, instead of turning to the bottle. That openness has been life-changing for the whole family. I will always be grateful for their understanding, dedication, and wisdom. They didn’t just help my wife — they helped give our family hope again.

My experience was great, if things can be described as great when in despair, and making the very difficult decision to ask for help,, as so many are when entering rehab. The staff were very approachable, knew what they were doing, and stood for no nonsense (in a kind way), which was exactly what I needed. As a result I have been sober for 6 months, and am much healthier and happier as a result, so thank you to all involved for giving me back the choice to not drink….i had no choice before your ,springboard’ to recovery, now I have choice, and I am choosing to stay sober and enjoy my life, so thanks again, and good wishes for all you do.

The moment my first telephone call was answered, I was made to feel so welcome and at ease in seeking advice over where to find help for an addiction. The phone call I took this afternoon was unexpected, by so helpful. It was good to reaffirm that I was making good decisions with regard to my loved one. It was also comforting to know I am moving in the right direction. I know this process will take time and not be easy, but it is good to know help is only a phone call away.
