I recently had an urgent Open Heart Bypass surgery done and am absolutely pleased that the surgery was performed by a well renowned surgeon Shahzad Raja. It was a difficult time for my family and I as this came as complete "shocker" given I did not any underlying conditions. Dr. Raja and his team were excellent right from the time we were referred by the Cardiac team at Watford General Hospital. Dr. Raja not only provided us the support and the confidence that is needed in this circumstances. The surgery was performed in a very professional manner and most importantly the aftercare that was needed was well above my expectations with Dr. Raja and his team following up personally on a daily basis during my stay 1 week stay at Royal Brampton in Harefield. From the minute I met Mr. Raja I felt at ease. He explained the procedure clearly and took the time to answer my questions so much so I had the confidence things would go well. It did and now six weeks on I am getting stronger every day and beginning to get back to 'normal'.

From my first consultation Mr Raja was very helpful, explaining my options for treatment and even arranging for me to discuss an alternative with a colleague.
