The security and reception staff were absolutely wonderful - welcoming, professional, and efficient. When I went up to the 3rd-floor neurology department, there weren’t very clear directions on where to check in, but I eventually found the desk (ironically, not the easiest task for someone visiting a neurologist!). After checking in, I was seen quite promptly. The neurologist herself came out to collect me - something I didn’t realise until we were already in her office, as she hadn’t introduced herself. I think my presence uneased her and I even commented that I thought she was the porter, as that’s what I had seen with other patients being escorted in. Unfortunately, the appointment itself was disappointing. The neurologist came across as very judgmental and accusatory, suggesting that my symptoms were exaggerated or imagined, despite my clear explanations and the observations of my colleagues, doctors, specialists, and family who have witnessed my neurological decline. When she asked about my profession, she seemed skeptical that I could perform my job without issues, which was uncomfortable and disheartening. I have a follow-up appointment with a neuropsychiatrist, but honestly, I’m not looking forward to it. I can only hope they’ll be more open-minded and empathetic.

Back in March I landed heavily on an astroturf pitch whilst trying to make a comeback as a hockey player at the age of 69, not so clever! This resulted in sciatica type pain in both legs, lower back pain, and car journeys of more than twenty minutes being extremely painful. I attended a well known local sports physio clinic who had sorted numerous other instances of “sporting excess” over years. Unfortunately this time there was no significant improvement after three months. Looking for an alternative approach I found Claudiu’ clinic on Facebook, and thought that his more modern methods might be the way forward where traditional manipulation and exercises had failed. It took a few visits for there to be significant improvement , but gradual improvement there was. It was then a case of two steps forward, one step back, until after about three months the pain when driving had largely subsided, and life had settled at it’s “new normal”. Now with a 70 year old body , I am again in the gym three or four times a week, spinning, doing pilates and yoga, and now boxing…it’s never too late to find a new way to hurt yourself:-). Seriously Claudia has got my body working again, and I am thankful I found his clinic. I will have hesitation in using it again in the future.

My entire treatment plan and visits have all gone extremely smoothly. I suppose the first point is that the pain I had prior to the operation is now gone, so that has been a huge success. The recovery has also been remarkably straight forward to this point. From my first visit to the latest post-op visit, I have found Mr Stafford to be very clear and precise with all the details of my injury and options to treat it. There was no pressure on what option to choose, the facts were simply given to me and the prognosis for each treatment explained. The booklet provided gives a very detailed and comforting explanation of all that was involved, including the full journey back to recovery in the future. I am very pleased with my choices and very grateful to Mr Stafford for the treatment and consultations during this process. Mr Stafford is obviously very skilled in his work and this, along with the many successful procedures he has completed gave me full confidence to proceed with the successful arthroscopy.

The surgery was very efficient and I recovered well. I did find some of the administration was confusing. I had letters sent changing times and dates. My first operation was cancelled as I was about to go into theatre and then I had a letter with a new appointment which was the date of the cancelled op. Phone numbers given were for the general switchboard who had no idea where to direct my call. However Dr Moussa’s secretary was extremely efficient and helpful. She had various queries from me as I kept getting letters with different times for various tests. All the staff I saw were helpful and caring and working under a great deal of pressure.

I was very apprehensive about getting both of my eyes done at the same time. I cant believe how easy and painless it was ,all of the staff were amazing in looking after me and putting me at ease. Having 24 hr support was amazing ,my concerns were addressed quickly . If only everything was as easy as this ,within 3 days i could see perfectly ,i never realised how much of a difference it would make . From my consultant ,nursing staff, opthamologists, domestic staff and receptionist they went above and beyond in their care. Nothing was too much bother. Dont hesitate to go ,you will be amazed .

My visit for my hip operation was very calming, no stress involved as it was an operation. The nursing staff (Liam) was very helpful with information about my procedure timetable. After my operation I was looked after by 2 further nurses (Jan & Yvonne). They looked after my pain medication during the.night as well as the rest of my needs. Couldn’t have asked for better support, many thanks to them. The physio was round the next morning with crutches so I could walk and instructions on what I could and couldn’t do. Again very supportive which put me at ease.

Avni is absolutely brilliant and I cannot recommend her enough. She started treated me during pregnancy but I have continued to see her after. Avni is really caring and intuitive and the only osteopath that I have been to who really manages to address any pain that I have been experiencing. She doesn't insist that you come back week after week, unless the treatment specifically requires a few sessions. She takes a holistic approach to wellness and provides really useful tips and recommendations that have helped me in all aspects of life.
