After trying to get my varicose veins sorted for years, (and unfortunately them getting worse over those years) I finally decided to get treatment from UK Vein Clinic in Manchester. I have had both legs treated using both ablation and foam therapy. The whole process was fantastic. I was treated so kindly by my Dr and the lovely nurses. They explained everything and took great care of me, ensuring I was comfortable. The process was very quick and I felt little discomfort. I was informed of everything happening and lots of aftercare tips. I am so glad that I chose UK Vein Clinic for treatment, their care has been fantastic right from booking a consultation to now, just after treatment. I have recently had two procedures within two months, plus outpatient appointments. All members of staff, from receptionist to nursing staff to consultants, were extremely polite, and nothing was too much trouble. I have had two separate consultants, and they were extremely knowledgeable and put me at ease, as I was quite nervous. Their secretaries were very friendly each time I rang through, and nothing was too much trouble. The outpatient department is very modern and spotless. I was very impressed and grateful that so many different eye examinations were performed on me. The in patient department is also spotless, and my meal after my operation was delicious!

From consultation to follow up after surgery, you cannot ask for anyone better than Mr. Freites. I felt comfortable and well informed about my surgery and what I could expect afterwards. But what really ment the most was the fact that he acknowledged my fibromyalgia, taking into consideration how the fibromyalgia would respond to the stress of surgery, doing whatever he could to limit that stress, even down to words of encouragement and sometimes it’s just the little things that help the most in healing. Unfortunately, they were running behind schedule. About 10 mins after my appointment time I was advised that I would not be seen for around 45 minutes. About 45 mimutes later I was advised that I was next in line. I was eventually seen about 80 minutes after my appointment time. Whilst delay was frustrating the communication was good and understand the delay created by unrealistic time per patient schedule.
