I recently had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Emara at OneWelBek Hospital in London, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The clinic is conveniently located in the heart of the city, and from the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming. The receptionist, in particular, was friendly and made me feel at ease. Dr. Emara was outstanding! He took the time to listen carefully to all my health concerns and thoroughly reviewed my past reports. What stood out to me was his approach: he started with reassuring, positive comments, which really helped alleviate any anxiety I had. His jovial and approachable demeanor made the entire experience much more comfortable. He even managed to crack a few jokes to lighten the mood! Dr. Emara performed two tests during my visit, and I truly appreciated how he created a relaxed environment throughout the process. After the tests, he reassured me that everything was fine and that there was nothing serious to worry about, which left me feeling incredibly relieved and positive. I’m very glad to have met Dr. Emara and his assistant, who was also extremely kind and professional. I highly recommend both the hospital and Dr. Emara for anyone looking for quality care in a supportive, friendly atmosphere. Thank you again for such an excellent experience!

The appointment I had was disappointing. I have been waiting a number of weeks to discuss an MRI with a specialist in gynaecology, when I became slightly tearful she demanded that I had ‘emotional support’ handing me a paper towel for your hands go wipe my face. I stated that would make me uncomfortable and that I wanted to support myself and she informed me that the appointment could not continue if and we would need to re book it (after waiting for many weeks in chronic pain) so I accepted her brining someone external in so we could finish the appointment. The person she bought in proceeded to come in and out of the room constantly getting leaflets which was not any sort of emotional support for me. The doctor continually referred to my history of anxiety as an ‘issue’ and did not have any sensitivity when discussing mental health especially in connection to physical illness. The way she used my history of anxiety was inappropriate and lacking in understanding.

I am leaving Abbington House tomorrow. After my time spent here at Abbington I am leaving knowing that there is a more peaceful way that I can live my life sober. My one-one professional therapist here has been “Cos”! Cos is an incredible therapist with so much personal knowledge of recovery..helping me daily to understand all so that I leave with the tools I need. All the staff here show empathy…care & kindness.. to all, they certainly do know their stuff! So if you are reading my review here & you or someone else needs the support of Abbington House ? I can 100% recommend this to you with confidence! Thanking all the lovely staff at Abbington for helping me on my way to a new life of sobriety!

Candover Clinic

Directions to the car park should be better, ie if you put Candover Clinic in the sat nav you can't get to the patient car park for MRI without going out and sitting in traffic to get around the other side of the hospital. It could also be clearer where MRI is on the map (eg circled). It was quite confusing whether I was in the right place as was given NHS forms (is a shared NHS facility). They also told me off for not reading a leaflet but I didn't get a leaflet. The lady who completed the procedure was excellent though. Before and afterwards I felt a bit more alone and confused than at other private procedures.

Weymouth Street Hospital

Was booked for a diagnostic procedure at the Weymouth Street Hospital. 5 days before the operation, the surgeon said he needed additional tests which couldn't be completed in time. The appointment was cancelled: 80% refund due. Four emails asking for a refund: no response. One formal complaint letter by recorded delivery: no response. One "letter before court action" (initiating what used to be the small claims court procedure): payment! Payment was "accidentally" rounded down to the nearest hundred pounds. Yet another email and I finally received the full refund five weeks after the cancellation.

I went to Dr Meah after a couple of years suffering with hair loss. I had tried everything and spent thousands trying to get to the root cause. Dr Meah is an expert in her field and started me on special medicated shampoo, steroid lotion and a lifelong meditation to help me manage the condition. With improvement on this combination of treatment alongside wearing some hair extensions, I feel so much brighter in myself. It has been life changing and I can’t thank her enough for all of her guidance and monitoring throughout the treatment plan.

I booked a Women's Health Check and had the pleasure of being seen by Dr Emma Sloan. I felt totally comfortable with Dr Sloan, who was kind, considerate and very easy to talk to. A couple of weeks after my appointment I received all my test results and a really detailed and comprehensive report with a lot of advice on what I could do to ensure I stay healthly. A couple of of test results were slightly abnormal and I was able to follow this up with my GP when I showed her the report. I will definitely do this again. Thank you!

I would first like to say it was SIMPLY MAGIC ! Fantastic Operation by Mr Gok Ratnarajan on Both Eyes which i would recommend to others. The process was easy and both eyes were done in only 40 mins. Mr Gok Ratnarajan the surgeon was clear with his communication and has a professional calming approach explaining each step clearly. Also, the Team were professional and clear on processes and further post operation steps. Finally i wouldn't hesitate in recommending Mr Gok Ratnarajan and his team.

Easy to make an appointment at a convenient time. Seen on time. Felt reassured by the doctor, he quickly diagnosed the problems. Provided some immediate treatment and made a new booking for a minor procedure. He felt knowledgeable and reassuring which is what I needed as I have a poor family history of skin cancer. I went away with a clear plan of action and this was followed up a few hours later by a written confirmation.

The reason I didn't give five stars to all the points is that the hospital slightly fell down on its admin/paperwork. On my first visit the address of my GP practice was incorrect, although I had given the correct one; the discharge notes were almost illegible; and I was not given an advice leaflet from Bright-Eyes on how to proceed with eye management for the first 24hrs or so, until I was able to speak to Mr Bender.

A discussion relating to perimenopausal symptoms, family /medical history & lifestyle + work helped to inform some really helpful advice. We decided on a way forward having talked through a number of options. After the appointment I received a very prompt and comprehensive summary letter and I feel happy with the plan for the next 3months.

I had the pleasure of seeing Dr Hill for an assessment. Dr Hill was calm, kind and very reassuring. I found the process and consultation put a lot of my worries at ease. I had a very positive experience. At each stage potential difficulties, alternative solutions and recovery projections were explained. The few questions I had were dealt with clearly and efficiently. Actual operation and short recovery period in hospital proceeded very smoothly with frequent opportunities to discuss progress and short term concerns.

Laparoscopic cholecystectomy - Mr Wadhawan gave clear description and explanation of the procedure along with details of risks . This was not a straightforward procedure and I am thankful that Mr Wadhawan persisted and eventually managed to do all that was necessary . I also received clear easy to understand information after the procedure.

He followed up with a letter clarifying the intervention and provided me with extra information which was very helpful.
