Overall, I would recommend The Portland Hospital for delivery. I had a c-section for my first child, and while there were a few bumps in my post-op experience, the overall care and facilities were very good. The midwives were kind, and the hospital rooms were comfortable. Lucy and Esther in particular stood out — they were so nice and helpful, and I'd especially recommend them. My main critique is around the immediate post-op period. When I was first admitted, I was placed on the gynaecological floor rather than the maternity ward, and was told I'd be moved after my c-section. Unfortunately, that move didn't happen until the next day, which made my first post-op day quite uncomfortable, as the midwives on that floor took a long time to respond and help. Once we were moved to the maternity ward, the experience improved significantly — my partner and I felt much more comfortable, and there was noticeably more focus and attention on us. I also struggled with breastfeeding after delivery, and found that different midwives gave conflicting advice, which was confusing at an already difficult time. After being discharged, I booked a lactation consultant, Antonia, who watched me feed and fixed the latching issue within minutes — she made a huge difference and I'd highly recommend her. On the plus side, the hospital offered some wonderful conveniences before discharge: we were able to register our baby's birth, get her passport photos taken, and complete her hearing test, all without leaving the hospital, which saved us so much time and hassle afterwards. Overall, a positive experience with some room for improvement on ward transfers and consistency of breastfeeding advice.

I recently had my adult ADHD assessment with Ms Colleen Mitchell at Montrose Health Group, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment the assessment began, Colleen made me feel completely at ease. She was warm, kind, professional and, most importantly, genuinely listened to everything I had to say without judgement. I never felt rushed and was given plenty of time to explain my experiences, even when I found it difficult to put my thoughts into words. The assessment was incredibly thorough, and Colleen asked thoughtful questions that helped me understand myself better. She explained everything clearly and with compassion, making what could have been a very overwhelming experience feel safe and supportive. After years of struggling and feeling misunderstood, I finally felt heard and validated. I’ve been going to Ringway Dental for a while now, and I honestly wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. Like a lot of people, I’ve never been the biggest fan of visiting the dentist, but everyone here has always made me feel at ease. The whole team are friendly, approachable, and never make you feel rushed or judged. Every appointment has been a positive experience. Everything is explained in a way that’s easy to understand, and I always leave knowing exactly what’s been done and what I need to do to keep my teeth healthy.The practice itself is always spotless, and appointments have always run on time, which I really appreciate. If I had to suggest anything, it would only be small things. A few more early morning or evening appointments would be really helpful for people juggling work, and it could be nice to see a few more tips shared on social media or by email about keeping on top of your dental health between visits. Overall, I can’t thank the team enough for the care they’ve given me over the years.They’ve completely changed how I feel about going to the dentist, and that’s something I never thought I’d say! I’d happily recommend Ringway Dental to anyone looking for a practice where you genuinely feel looked after.

Gladstones is a special place! This was the first place I learned to talk about my emotions, fears and trauma. I wasn’t judged, I wasn’t patronised, I was accepted for who I am. Small groups made a difference, I felt much safer and more at ease, more listened to. Staff took the time to get to know me, especially the night staff. I wasn’t preached to or told the 12 Steps is the only solution. Most are in recovery themselves. Phoebe was amazing as was Matt. Natalie supported me to reduce my medication. I want to thank all of the staff and management. I have now moved on with my life and am living in a dry house in Weston where I truly feel part of a community. I have people I can turn to when I’m low and groups to attend as aftercare. I couldn’t be more grateful

I visited with my son because he was having trouble sleeping. He was constantly breathing through his mouth, even after he had undergone an adenoidectomy last year. Dr. Lakhani also recommended removing my son’s tonsils to further improve his sleep. I was initially a little hesitant about this, but he reassured me that it would benefit my son, and he was right—it made a noticeable difference. I'm very pleased and couldn't ask for better results. Dr. Lakhani was very communicative and never pressured me into having surgery for my son. He took the time to explain everything in detail, answered all of my questions, and made sure I understood all of the available options. I found Dr Corless to be excellent.He carried out a very thorough physical examination ation and then we had a lengthy discussion about my symptoms and history.He.then fully explained his proposed plan for.my ongoing treatment .He ensured that I understand the whole process and next steps He involved me fully and was patient and empathetic This consultation was then followed up two days later with a very comprehensive letter detailing the discussion. I was very impressed with Dr Corless and telephone his.secretary to ask her to pass on my thanks to him He is a brilliant doctor

The visit once I arrived was excellent and I appreciated my time with Prof Dhinsa. The only negative comment I would make would be the directions. I was travelling from Rye, I don’t know Ashford and my usually reliable sat nav was challenged to locate the hospital. I had to call Reception and eventually I asked where it was in relation to William Harvey (plenty of signs for it), was told it was opposite - which it is, but not quite! Amongst all the signage around the site the One Ashford sign was subtle - so more road signage please!

All very good.Fantastic staff and care. I was irritated by the pre op phone call as questions were inappropriate for such minor surgery. I was asked about Power of attorney and not being allowed to go home immediately and that I had to pass urine before I was allowed.A nervous patient could have been overwhelmed by such questioning.
