I cannot recommend Mr John Pereira highly enough. From the initial consultation through to post-operative care, I felt completely listened to, reassured, and in expert hands. I had bilateral upper blepharoplasty and lower facelift with platysmaplasty and the results are outstanding—natural, refreshed, and exactly what I had hoped for. The outcome is subtle and balanced; I look like a better version of myself rather than “overdone,” which speaks to Mr Pereira’s skill and attention to detail. I was getting ready to leave home in Broadstairs to travel to Canterbury. My Son had rearranged his work to drive me. I received a phone call from the consultant I was going to see. He was under the impression that it was a telephone consultation. As it happened as far as the consultant was concerned it was not necessary for me to travel to Canterbury. He was able to tell me results of MRI and what he felt was the plan of action. There were some crossed wires and it was lucky that I had not started out earlier to use public transport. . Also lucky that the consultant had not waited till.the appointment time on the letter to ring me as i would have been at his clinic.. I was not concerned that I had not got to make the journey.

I came to see Dr Agarwal for a second opinion having been denied cataract surgery elsewhere. He tested every part of my vision, checked all aspects of eye health and then very kindly explained that I did in fact need cataract surgery. All his explanations were clear, easy to follow and delivered kindly and warmly. Cataract surgery on both eyes was done within a couple of weeks. The whole experience was very patient centred. Lots of reassurance from all members of the team and a surprisingly stress free experience. At a follow up appointment three days later Dr Agarwal was warm and genuinely delighted to show me the massive improvements to my eyesight.

The administrative processes are not always easy to naviagate but the staff at the hospital are professional and helpful. Staff on reception seem well briefed on what information is needed from patients. Clinical staff - both on the wards and in the CT scanning teams were professional and reassuring. It would be useful - for people accompanying a patient for a procedure - to have some information about facilities available to them. I was at the hospital for 12 hours and the only way to get something to eat was to go out of the hopsital to buy it. It would have been helpful to have some catering available on site - if only by machine.

Matt Frost was terrific. I'm surprised he wasn't a senior ages ago! But congrats all the same! He's worth every bit of it. Interestingly my hearing had improved slightly from last year and I seriously wonder if this was because I had complete confidence in him. Others always good but Matt inspires confidence in a special way. He also explained the most recent Phonak model clearly so that despite my age and life expectancy, I'm going to give it a try despite the cost. Finally he adjusted my current aids and there is notable improvement. in my hearing. Thanks Matt - and all of you in the office who are always helpful

Dr Vyas was exceptional with our 9 year old son who has chronic cough. He took time speaking to and examining him. He also undertook tests which all seemed appropriate and pertinent to what his presenting symptoms were. We saw him quickly and he maintained contact whilst the tests and results took place. He then took the time to explain everything and alleviated our concerns regarding any serious pathology. He then formed a clear and structured management plan. We would highly recommend him if you have children and are concerned!

From day 1 until my father was discharged he was updating us regularly about his progress and his recovery. He didn’t even charge us and waived his fees because I am a doctor and this is very rare and not many people do that. I can’t thank him more than that and he is a real gentleman and a great surgeon.

NLM Clinic in Doncaster provides you privacy of consultation. It is located quite central, however not on the main road, which means that the privacy is maintained at all times. The environment is calm and comfortable. You are offered a drink on arrival and the consultation room, despite being small is welcoming and comfortable. Highly recommended.
