    Miss Kenga Sivarajah

    Obstetrician & Gynaecologist

Dr. Kenga is the best possible doctor we could have hoped for. If we have any future children (which we’re planning to!), we’ll be going straight back to her. She consistently went above and beyond, from preparatory planning to postnatal care, and made every step feel supported. We live primarily abroad, so navigating the UK system was initially daunting, but she made the entire experience not only smooth but genuinely enjoyable. That’s saying a lot, given this was childbirth! Her credentials already speak for themselves: she’s a Consultant Obstetrician at King’s College Hospital, Labour Ward Lead, Lead Obstetrician for Perinatal Mental Health, and deeply involved in perinatal education and care for women with complex medical conditions. But beyond the impressive titles, the experience - including her responsiveness far exceeded expectations. We had an elective C-section, and the technical skill was exceptional. The scar healed quickly and beautifully. What stood out that I think worthy to note was her attentiveness and empathy in addition to the physical; she took the time to understand our situation holistically. Having gone through a long journey from IVF to local doctors before reaching Dr. Kenga through Central Health, we can say with full confidence that she stands out. We would recommend her without hesitation to anyone in London, or traveling to London, who needs an OBGYN they can trust completely. She also connected us with excellent support networks from paediatrics to hospitals, which made the entire experience seamless from start to finish. We’d highly recommend Dr. Kenga for anyone looking for an OBGYN in London who wants to feel deeply supported throughout their journey (especially those navigating international pregnancies, IVF, elective C-sections, high-risk or complex pregnancies) or simply seeking a doctor who has the rare balance of being balanced in her compassion, highly experienced, skilled, and just excellent across the board.

The security and reception staff were absolutely wonderful - welcoming, professional, and efficient. When I went up to the 3rd-floor neurology department, there weren’t very clear directions on where to check in, but I eventually found the desk (ironically, not the easiest task for someone visiting a neurologist!). After checking in, I was seen quite promptly. The neurologist herself came out to collect me - something I didn’t realise until we were already in her office, as she hadn’t introduced herself. I think my presence uneased her and I even commented that I thought she was the porter, as that’s what I had seen with other patients being escorted in. Unfortunately, the appointment itself was disappointing. The neurologist came across as very judgmental and accusatory, suggesting that my symptoms were exaggerated or imagined, despite my clear explanations and the observations of my colleagues, doctors, specialists, and family who have witnessed my neurological decline. When she asked about my profession, she seemed skeptical that I could perform my job without issues, which was uncomfortable and disheartening. I have a follow-up appointment with a neuropsychiatrist, but honestly, I’m not looking forward to it. I can only hope they’ll be more open-minded and empathetic.

I had a Rhinoplasty here with Lucian Ion. I'm grateful to all of the staff at the hospital for making my stay so comfortable; the room was clean and comfortable, and whenever I needed help the nurses were quick and helpful, plus the food was really good. The surgery and anaesthetic itself went smoothly, and it was re-assuring to talk to both surgeon (Mr Ion) and anaesthetist (Dr Warwick Marchant) beforehand, and then see Mr Ion multiple times after the surgery. When I was soon to be discharged from the hospital I momentarily (for a few minutes) felt very rough; the hospital staff were really friendly and there wasn't any rush to discharge. One thing I did note is that there wasn't always complete consistency between the surgeon and the hospital, e.g. on the admission time, or on how to clean the wounds, so I would suggest trying to improve this (the patient, at least speaking for myself, isn't always a reliable intermediary), however this was a very minor issue.

I completed 30 sessions of rTMS treatment for depression at Living Mind Clinic, and it has made a real difference in my life. Before starting, I was struggling with low mood and lack of motivation despite trying various treatments. The team at Living Mind was incredibly kind, professional, and supportive throughout the process — they made me feel comfortable and explained everything clearly. After finishing the course, I noticed a gradual but steady improvement in my mood, energy levels, and overall outlook. I feel more like myself again, and everyday tasks don’t feel as overwhelming as before. The treatment was gentle and completely manageable, and the staff’s genuine care made the experience so much easier. I’m very grateful to the team and would highly recommend rTMS and Living Mind Clinic to anyone struggling with depression who hasn’t found relief with other treatments.

I was scheduled for a laparoscopic bilateral cystectomy. My disappointment stems from a critical failure in communication immediately prior to surgery.Minutes before the procedure, and while already prepped, I was informed by an unfamiliar doctor—not my primary gynecologist —that a bilateral salpingectomy (fallopian tube removal) was being added to the plan. This major change, involving the removal of a reproductive organ, was sprung on me at the most vulnerable moment, leaving absolutely no time to process this significant loss or ensure fully informed consent. It felt as though my fallopian tubes were taken without my proper agreement. A change in procedure of this magnitude must be communicated well in advance, not moments before surgery.

Dr Kalla has been amazing throughout my treatment, he was open and honest from the start of my need to lose weight and advised the best options for me to do that. Until I had lost the weight he refused to consider the procedure due to the risks involved. Once I had shown the commitment to the weight loss target a plan was put in place regarding timelines for the surgery. In the build up to the procedure I was made aware of what the surgery entailed, the post surgery plan and then the follow up. This was carried out to plan with no problems whatsoever. I cannot thank him enough for everything and also his Secretary Michelle who constantly kept me up to date with everything and answered any queries I had promptly.

My knee replacement operation was explained and discussed as Mr Shankar wasnt sure if partial or full replacement was required but he'd get a better understanding once knee was open. We agreed if there was any doubt that full knee was my preference but Id use his experience and skill to decide on best outcome. The surgery was completed with minimum pain only needed pain relief for 3 days post operation, and outside of swelling there was no brusing which the physio said would be down to the skill of surgeon. The care at Spire Hartswood was fantastic pre & post operation. Im two weeks post op and apart from minor swelling, the bend and overall knee look and feel great.

I've had, and continue to have, a really positive experience with Pride in Health. Everyone I've spoken to has been so dedicated and kind. I've felt so understood and at ease, which is special to me as I've never experienced feeling this way from healthcare providers before. When I've struggled to interpret information due to my autism, the team has always been so patient and helpful and quick to answer my queries. I recall when I first reached out with questions, I was sent back a super in depth answer, answering questions I didn't even know I had. The work they do is fantastic. Thank you!

I would advise any menopausal women who may need help to come to the Cora menopausal clinic. Emily was absolutely amazing from the moment I walked into her room and till when I left. The knowledge was out of this world. Emily reassured me and listened and understood. I took away so much from this one visit and am very thankful. My symptoms were getting to the stage where I was struggling to cope with everyday life. I’m a few weeks down the road and have been on HRT and feel so much better. Thank you Emily.

I have had a brilliant experience, I was in extreme pain before my surgery & could hardly walk, Dr Ahad changed my life for the better. I was able to walk immediately after surgery & my pain has stopped. The surgery was a success & all staff made me feel completely comfortable and safe. I would recommend any one to have their surgery with Dr Ahad & his team. I now have quality of life & can do things with my family that I was unable to do before & have my independence back.

As I have very difficult veins to draw blood from, Prof Rakhit recommended that I should ask for Andrew in the phlebotomy department....which I did. They were very helpful in helping me to come in at a time when he would be there. Andrew was brilliant. He managed to find a vein without any trouble and I hardly felt the needle! My thanks to everyone for making this a much less stressful experience than it usually is!

I experienced an extremely rapid visit. Concerned about my health due to family history, I feared developing a condition similar to my father’s at my age; this concern, combined with a kidney stone episode I experienced a few weeks ago, prompted me to schedule the appointment. In a single visit, I underwent a CT scan, received screening, and obtained a diagnosis. I highly recommend Dr. Nedas.

I am over the moon with the care I have received from Mr Lomax and the team at Spire Roundhay, Leeds. Everything has been explained clearly, my treatment has been quick, I have had an easy recovery. I wish instead of trying to cope with the agony of Mortons Neuroma, if I'd have been braver I should have reached out to Mr Lomax sooner. No regrets about having the surgery

I didn’t have a negative experience with the consultant except that he disclosed the result of the procedure to my relative in front of other patients and staff in a busy waiting area. My relative noticed other people staring and this was clearly not appropriate. This should be handled more professionally in a private room.
