Nurses and clinicians very friendly and made the experience much more bearable (Dom, Karen, Svetlana and Maria - thank you!) Main issue with my experience was inability to get basic medication required for pain relief post-surgery. Was told my procedure would be finished and we could leave around noon. But my pain medication (codeine and paracetamol, so nothing complicated!) had to be couriered from a local pharmacy. We waited over 4 hours for it to arrive and it never came. In the meantime my numbing had worn off and I was in a lot of pain - my partner had to go and ask the nurses if there was any spare codeine I could have while I waited. We eventually gave up and went home after many hours wasted, and had to pay for a private prescription at a pharmacy near home. Appreciate delay was with pharmacy and nurses did their best to get updates, but this system is not working.

I had LASIK surgery with Allon Barsam yesterday, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. My vision feels unbelievably clear, almost like seeing through the eyes of a superhero. Allon guided me through every step of the procedure as it was happening, which made the entire experience feel calm, safe, and reassuring. The surgery was genuinely painless; there was one brief moment of discomfort that lasted no more than 10 seconds, and he calmly counted down the seconds so I knew exactly what to expect. My eyes stung a little afterwards, but after a short nap I woke up feeling completely fine. If you’re considering laser eye surgery, I can’t recommend it highly enough. Mr Bagley stepped in after my previous consultant refused to attend. He hastily but professionally conducted my initial and confirmation appointments together and agreed to proceed with the planned surgery. I was very relieved. The surgery went well and all the staff involved were friendly and professional. I developed an infection after and had to see Mr Bagley twice but I was prescribed antibiotics and it cleared. At every step of the process Mr Bagley was professional and explained everything. I would definitely recommend him.

I had my second knee replacement in November last year my first was January last year .My second one was so different it was very swollen before I had it done I found it took me longer to do with out my crutches but I did it bit at a time . Everyone was so helpful and made my stay in hospital good . Mr Malek puts you at ease and explains everything I hadn't had an operation before my first knee no hesitation when it came to my second .All you have to do is everything they tell you and then there is no worries.

The doctor and nurses here are very kind and really helped me during a nerve wracking procedure that I was highly anxious for. I do think given how much we pay for these appointments, that the facilities could really use a revamp. It fees tired and dated in the common areas and the toilets were not very clean. On top of that, you can never find a parking spot, which adds extra anxiety to pre appointments.

Excellent consult. Unfriendly reception. Not particularly clean. The worst part the hospital didn’t order my medication. Said to my consultant we can get it tomorrow. He was down from Scotland. Only for the day. I was travelling to London. So he went and got it from another hospital. Next time I see him we won’t be coming there!

I was asked to arrive approximately 1.5 hours before the procedure with a full bladder, the latter of which was not necessary. It was a very long and uncomfortable waiting time and I would have brought a book should someone have told me this in advance. This was no reflection on Mr Alhasso though, who was excellent.
