I feel very fortunate to have had my chemotherapy and radiotherapy at GenesisCare Cambridge. The standard of care is excellent and everyone at the clinic is friendly and welcoming. While spotlessly clean with fantastic facilities the centre doesn't feel overly clinical. I really like the holistic approach to treatment at GenesisCare and particularly benefited from the exercise medicine clinic which took me from gym phobic to regular gym goer with huge benefits for my physical and emotional wellbeing. GenesisCare go above and beyond to make treatment less arduous, from providing really comprehensive support to prevent or mitigate unpleasant side effects to offering a complimentary taxi service to and from radiotherapy sessions. Another plus of GenesisCare is that the consultations are never rushed - there is always time for questions and I particularly appreciated my consultant taking time to talk me through the treatment options and providing really clear answers to all my questions.

The Joint Injection Clinic

A month ago I had the arthrosamid injection. I had never heard of it and initially I went online to find out how others were treating their oesteoarthritis. I found the Joint Clinic quite quickly and was amazed to read that this injection would last about 3 years rather than 3 months for the NHS cortisol injection. My knee was causing a lot of pain especially when the weather changed. I was unable to walk properly, I couldn't walk up or down stairs. My work involves walking and I really thought I would have to retire because of the pain. From day 2 of the injection, I was beginning to walk without as much pain, about 2 weeks later I wasn't limping or experiencing pain at all. It took about 3 weeks to be able to walk up and down stairs without pain. I no longer need anti inflammatory drugs (that was always hit or miss if they would work). I am very pleased with the outcome at the one month mark and I hope my knee pain is no more for years!

I am so grateful to Delamere for my 4-week stay. The facilities are truly incredible - comfortable, well-appointed and a palpable feeling of safety. The staff are such caring, friendly and interesting people - with the relevant experience to truly empathise and help with our unique circumstances. The food is world-class, with a wide range of options and affordances for those with dietary restrictions. The suite of experiential options will introduce you to new therapeutic experiences, many of which you may take away with you. The curriculum is focussed and has real depth, and is taught by professionals with real experience of addiction. The clinical staff are wonderfully attentive and caring, and will move mountains to make you comfortable. I am so pleased to have made the decision to stay at Delamere and would recommend it whole heartedly to anyone who wants to make a change.

Highly recommend this hospital! The staff at Highgate Hospital are absolutely lovely kind, professional, and genuinely caring from the moment you walk through the doors. The entire place is spotless everything feels clean, organised and extremely well maintained, which immediately puts you at ease. I had a procedure done with Dr. Marshall and he is unbelievable truly an amazing doctor. His expertise, reassurance, and calm approach made the whole experience a 10/10. I couldn’t have asked for better care. Every member of staff I encountered was helpful and attentive, always willing to go above and beyond. From the nurses to the reception team, everyone made sure I was comfortable and informed throughout. I have absolutely no complaints only praise. A wonderful hospital with outstanding care. I had no experience which would help me choose a consultant and had to use the CVs on the Spire website. I mainly chose Mr Wemyss-Holden because of his laparoscopic expertise. He was excellent. Since then, I've met a number of patients who also have a very high opinion of him. On meeting, he immediately put me at my ease, gave a confident diagnosis, explained my operation and assured me it would be successful. All of which he duly delivered. For the operation, he once again explained what would happen and returned afterwards to tell me of its success and what to expect going forward. The following week he gave me a check over and discharged me. Throughout, Mr Wemyss-Holden was very pleasant, while giving me a great deal of confidence that my treatment would be successful. He was open to questions and explained everything in detail.

Dr Hurel has taken the time to not only go through my current case with him, which has been ongoing for a few years, but he has helped and offered to refer to specialist with regard to another (related) issue. While it is not his specialty, he has gone above and beyond to try and help me with a personal medical matter. In addition he has worked with me virtually as I have moved to another city, unable to get into London, and allowed me to use a different provider for bloodwork. It's bedside manner like this which keeps me going back to him as a private medical provider. He's clearly at the top of his field in knowledge and experience, but his personal touch to how he treats is patients is what makes him a fabulous doctor.

My recent visit was positive as always, everyone is always warm and welcoming from the moment you step into the door. The office is clean and inviting and always decorated according to the season’s festive calendar, which always a nice touch. I admired the snowflakes decal on the windows giving it a cosy festive feel and fairy lights as I was getting my treatment! I have been seeing Lil for years now and she is absolutely amazing, I feel like a different person when I walk out the practice, in the best way possible. Also, if something else is bothering me she always makes time to take a look and do the necessary adjustments or advise on what exercises to do, or see a GP!
