I visited the Well Life Clinic as I had been diagnosed with ADHD three years ago and since then I have not received any treatment. This was not through any lack of trying with the NHS, and the good efforts of my local GP. The waiting list for ADHD diagnosis and treatment is getting longer and longer, with a minimum three years or more, which is a national situation for ADHD diagnosed patients, as was shown on Television recently, with Well Life and Dr Kahn featuring. I then I decided that I would try the private route, and visited the Well Life Clinic in Cobham, which is a path I would recommend to any ADHD patient in my situation. Your charming receptionists were most welcoming, polite, informative and efficient. They listened to my ADHD situation, and that I had already been diagnosed three years previously and that i had all the comprehensive documentation of my diagnosis, which they asked me to forward to them. Once my details had been taken, they said they would forward everything to the appropriate person, who would contact me. Communication at Well Life is swift and I received follow up emails and phone calls as the process advanced. If I popped into the Cobham Clinic any questions I had were answered efficiently. Excellent. Things advanced quickly, my diagnosis documentation was read and accepted by the Well Life Consultantsmand a consultation with Dr Kahn set up in Oxted. I have had two consultations with Dr Kahn, one in person in Oxted, and one on line. My first one was 40 minutes at the Well Life Oxted Clinic. It was an in-depth discussion, I had to have a blood test next day in Cobham, and within a week I was prescribed the necessary medication for my blood pressure, then after monitoring that for a week, the ADHD medication was prescribed. Dr Kahn is excellent, informative, experienced and explains everything so clearly and well. One feels that one is in the best of hands. The Clinics are excellent, clean and smart. All the staff, most welcoming and efficient, in person as well as on the phone. Emails are always sent promptly, as are reminders of appointments, or electronic sending of prescriptions. Dr Lindsay looked at mammy’s medical computer record and asked how he could be of help. He was obviously very knowledgeable about osteoporosis, its impact and difficulties with pain management. He listened to our concerns about the constant pain mammy experiences and discussed pain management strategies. Also suggested vitamin supplements. Given that mammy is in the last stage of osteoporosis we understand that she is very frail and at continued risk of fractures. Dr Lindsay provided information from the Royal Osteoporosis Society advising on managing persistent pain after fractures, pain relieving drugs etc. Dr Lindsay gave my brother and I time to go over mammy’s recent medical history and presenting issues. He had a lovely manner with mammy and involved her in the discussion.

I’ve seen many consultants in the course of treating my skin cancer over the last 30 years. I’ve had in the region of 40 procedures and Mr Chin has, by far and away been the best I’ve experienced. My last three procedures (with different consultants) were under local anaesthetic which led to me fainting as a reaction to the pain of local anaesthetic. When I presented this challenge to the next consultant, both he and his staff dismissed my request for a general anaesthetic or at least sedation. They implied that I needed to toughen up. Mr Chin however understood my concerns and took action to ensure I was ok from a pain management perspective. In every engagement I’ve had with Mr Chin I have felt cared for and respected. He’s an outstanding healthcare professional.

I was seen by Dr Heggy and a lovely staff nurse Charlotte. Dr Heggy was fantastic he actually listened to me. He listened to exactly how I was and had been feeling. I'd been told by another Dr that there was nothing that could be done so I had to see someone for pain management. I'm in pain everyday and just wanted a resolution or at least pin point what could be wrong. Dr Heggy really made me feel heard and suggested other things before we gave up and just give me medication for my pain. Nurse Charlotte was fantastic. While Dr Heggy was looking things up and trying to find other options Charlotte spoke to me like an actual human. So thank you to Dr Heggy and nurse Charlotte for your time and patience with me. It's very much appreciated

The overall experience was excellent. As an NHS patient I felt I waited too long which affected my mental health and mobility, this wait has impacted on my recovery. I would have waited even longer if I hadn’t gone to my GP and asked for my operation to be escalated. The whole process took six months of physio initial NHS xray took a further 5 months to see the consultant then a further 4 and a half months for op. This has been a nightmare. I am however extremely appreciative of my operation and the treatment I have received during my stay at Hoarders. Also on the discharge sheet I was given a number to call for worries and questions once I got home this number was however not answered and my answer phone message was not called back.

My first appointment was cancelled by the clinic this was after telling me to pay the fee upfront and re booked two weeks later. I arrived on time for my appointment and was told there would be a delay again. After waiting for sometime I asked the staff to find out what the delay was I was then seen by the clinician half an hour later. My experience with the clinician I felt was not worth the fee. I was not examined correctly I was not given any advice as to how to deal with the issue and the letter I received afterwards was not very accurate or informative. So I would not go back again or recommend.

It’s always good to talk to Professor Field. He explained the process of fitting my hip replacement clearly and I saw an X-ray of my hip with the implant in place. He explained that new bone would grow round the ball. I have had no problems at all with my new hip replacement. Professor Field was happy with my movement in the joint and my walking. I am happy too. He is always happy to answer questions and it’s a pleasure to see him. I am going for a final check in 6 months. Already my hip feels very good and I am walking well. This is marvellous after a year of pain, frustration and depression.

He takes the time to discuss my prescription in detail and also the variety of lens options available such as anti-fatigue, blue light reduction and anti-glare. I had a great experience at this practice. The hospital was exceptionally clean, well-structured, and very well organized.
