The visit was characterised by friendly and helpful staff, but the overall experience felt fragmented rather than joined-up. Interactions were sometimes repetitive — different members of ward and theatre staff frequently asked the same questions each time they attended — and there was no clear sense of anyone holding overall responsibility for coordinating my care on the day. In practice, my treatment amounted to a series of separate visits from willing and attentive staff, each contributing their own piece of the puzzle. The experience lacked an end-to-end process with the patient at its centre. In fairness, this reflects a broader characteristic of NHS and private care: the system is organised around discrete clinical steps and interventions, rather than around a coherent understanding of the patient's journey as a whole. The patient adapts to the process; the process rarely adapts to the patient.

My experience with having been seen to and treated for a hernia operation by Mr Vetrivel has been nothing short of excellent, i.e., the pre operation examination, on the day of the operation, post operation and the post operation follow-up check-up. Suffice to state that considering the groin-area hernia operation was performed via an incision (i.e., not keyhole surgery,) by the end of just the following day I was up-and-about walking around at home, fully upright and most steady on my feet. In just over a week later, I was back to resuming with my twice-weekly 20 kilometre swim without any operation after effect. Simply most amazing.

This left me questioning the diagnosis that I possibly have a chronic prostatitis and may have even required surgery. From start to finish my experience has been first class with absolutely no negative issues. I have to single out Senior nurse Vicky for special mention. From the very first phone call to catheter removal to follow up checks this lady is an absolute credit to your practice. Her manner is just amazing she can discuss difficult subjects and you feel you are talking to a long term best friend who anbsolutely cares about you, everything is done with a smile and you feel totally relaxed in her presence. If there was a score out of 10 higher than a 10 I would give it.

Dr. Beckett was kind and very understanding about my life struggles. He met with me twice weekly face to face and was truly considered about what was wor,ingfor my treatment and what wasn't,. He was always available if a crisis was happening and reachable. He left me with an air tight going home plan, covering everything and putting plans into place, which eased my transition home. With an immediate follow up appointment once out of the hospital. You could not be in better care than with Doctor Beckett.
