I am relatively young to have cataracts and have always been scared of the optician especially the puffy puffer eye pressure machine. I had to go private as I was too scared to wait. It was the best decision me and my family made. Mr Kasmiya was so kind, gentle and patient with me. He explained everything to me in a kind manner and was clear as to what to expect. He never made me feel silly for being so scared of the operation and helped me throughout my time at the King Edward VII Hospital. His after care has been great no puffer machines! He has always been fair and honest in his diagnosis. I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Kasmiya for any optical issues you may have concerns with. Miss Valerie Saw recently performed very successful cataract surgery on both of my eyes and provided excellent advice and solutions to manage and significantly improve my dry eye and blepharitis conditions. Miss Saw is highly professional, extremely thorough, and communicated brilliantly throughout the whole process, so I felt confident every step of the way. During my initial consultation Miss Saw identified some complications with my left eye. She ensured further tests were carried out where required, to ensure the surgery would be a success. Miss Saw clearly explained: my diagnosis; all of my options; and provided excellent information regarding the surgery and aftercare. During the surgeries she explained what was happening, as a result I felt at ease during the operations. I first met Dr Jain at the Royal Free where I was being seen because my eye was turning out. He was extremely helpful and understood what was happening.
