OSD is a valued alternative to my designated NHS doctors surgery who it seems is swamped and just about coping with the number of NHS patients that it has registered on its books. Since the Covid epidemic my doctors have not gone back to face to face appointments and I can only talk with whoever is available that day. Apart from that I do not get more than approximately 10minutes to relay my problem, often forgetting salient points. Therefore OSD holds an important role for me to see a specialist in a given field and to be unhurried and at ease with enough time to cover fully my problem. I feel that OSD is fulfilling an important role and easing many doctors surgeries by taking at least part of their heavy burden away from them and therefore giving them a little more time to evaluate and treat their patients.
