Mr Pranav Patel is a highly skilled Consultant Oesophageal and Gastric Cancer Surgeon and General Surgeon specialising in upper gastrointestinal conditions and complex surgical oncology. Committed to delivering comprehensive, patient-centred care, he offers advanced diagnostic and therapeutic management for a wide range of upper gastrointestinal disorders. Mr Patel graduated with honours in medicine from Imperial College London, where he earned his MBBS degree. He subsequently completed higher surgical training across the East Midlands and London, incorporating specialist training at major oesophago-gastric cancer centres and an accredited post-CCT fellowship in robotic upper gastrointestinal surgery. Demonstrating a strong dedication to academic excellence, he earned a PhD from Imperial College London in 2020, focusing his research on lipid dysregulation in oesophageal cancer. A Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Mr Patel is also a Joint Advisory Group accredited Endoscopist, a member of the International Gastric Cancer Association, and serves as the surgical representative on professional and patient education for the UK & Ireland Oesophago-Gastric Cancer Group.

In his clinical practice, Mr Patel focuses on the surgical management of oesophageal and gastric cancers, as well as gastrointestinal stromal tumours. He is proficient in minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques designed to enhance surgical precision and patient recovery. Additionally, Mr Patel regularly performs both diagnostic and therapeutic upper gastrointestinal endoscopy.
