Mr Ruwan looked after us during our recent twin pregnancy. He was very attentive, respectful and knowlegable. I called him a few times on the weekend and in the evening as I had some concerns, and he was always available and happy to help, quickly arranging a scan at hospital to make sure everything was OK. He was in charge during the birth of our twins and the process couldn't have been smoother. His admin team, led by the incomparable and very kind Sandra, went above and beyond. We couldn't be happier with our decision to trust in Mr Ruwan and would recommend him to everyone.

We decided to go with Ruwan for our second pregnancy after we were let down by the NHS, when our daughter was stillborn 3 years ago. Our second pregnancy was anxiety filled, but having the constant reassurance, guidance and expertise from Ruwan, we were able to get through 9 months to deliver our happy and healthy baby boy. From our initial meeting, Ruwan took the time to listen and understand our obstetric history, and was honest with us that what we needed in this pregnancy is reassurance as we would naturally be very anxious. Our pregnancy was pretty straightforward, but Ruwan was really flexible is arranging appointments with us, and was always just a call or message away if we had a query (even the smallest and silliest queries!). Our experience when delivering our son was really memorable and well managed, which was important to us given our previous loss. My recovery was great and I can put this down to the expert c section procedure. There is no doubt in our mind that if were lucky enough to be blessed again, we would go to Ruwan for future deliveries. Thank you so much for everything!

After the traumatic birth of my first child, I decided to go private the second time around. I interviewed several consultants and had no hesitation about choosing Ruwan. He was the only one who had read through the reports of my previous pregnancy and labour, and also the notes from the second pregnancy until that point. He took the time to walk me through what went wrong the first time and explain all of the science. This incredibly thorough and holistic approach was consistent throughout my pregnancy. Having started my second pregnancy with high anxiety, I was able to finally relax and enjoy it. I had no doubt I was in good hands. Ruwan also took the time to call me back at any hour of the day if I had any concerns or questions. The birth itself was a very positive experience, which I can only attribute to Ruwan and his fantastic team.

We had an amazing experience with Dr Wimalasundera. He was incredibly patient, caring and thorough throughout. We always felt that he went the extra mile, beyond expectations, to make us feel comfortable and informed at every stage of the pregnancy. He was always available on the phone and extremely responsive if we had any queries and made us feel completely supported. Although my pregnancy was not straightforward, it was a very positive experience thanks to him. We are delighted that we chose him as our consultant and have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending him.

Ruwan looked after us with calm and thoughtful care throughout the pregnancy, taking time to answer all our questions and explain clearly the things we should think about. We always felt held in mind by him, which was very important to our experience. The team in the Fitzrovia Suite at UCH were fantastic. They offered expert support throughout the early days with our baby, advising and encouraging us with breastfeeding and making us feel confident. They were very responsive to our concerns and we were comfortable in the warm and friendly atmosphere on the ward. The on-going support they then offered over the phone after we had left the ward was also invaluable.

We had a fantastic experience throughout the pregnancy and the delivery of our healthy baby girl. Ruwan was excellent at putting us at ease with any concerns that we had and made us feel supported and in good hands right from the start. He is meticulous in his work and does not leave any stone unturned. We would definitely use him again for any other pregnancies and wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone else.

As an older lady having a baby I needed someone with experience and very calm under pressure with a good bedside manner. Ruwan delivered my baby calmly and quickly, it was so slick and it was such a pleasant experience. Throughout the consulting sessions, Ruwan was helpful and knowledgeable and moreover when we had odd questions or were worried, Ruwan responded immediately out of hours to either our mails or our calls. Ruwan also has a very personable PA called Sandra and she is a good ambassador and also made the whole journey even more personal and enjoyable.

Very good doctor that made me feel safe and in good hands not only during pregnancy but more importantly during labor. Highly recommended him
