Dr Muhammad Khalid has been a consultant cardiologist since 1994, initially in Saudi Arabia for seven years, and in NHS hospitals since 2001. He practises at the Alexandra Hospital and The Highfield Hospital. He has vast experience in his field and has a conscientious and caring manner, making him popular among patients.
Dr Khalid underwent cardiology training at the Royal Infirmary, Glasgow and Freeman Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne. He received dual GMC accreditation in General Medicine and Cardiology, was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of London, and is a national and international MRCP (UK) PACES examiner. He is a member of the British Medical Association, the Medical Protection Society, and the British Cardiovascular Society.
He is also an educational and clinical supervisor for core trainees as well as specialist trainees. His research interests are in atrial fibrillation and syncope.
He speaks English, Panjabi and Urdu.
