About Dr David J Fox
Dr. David Fox is a consultant cardiologist and electrophysiologist specialising in the management and treatment of Atrial Fibrillation and all heart rhythm disorders.
Each year he performs an high volume of catheter ablation procedures and he is one of the UK's most active doctors in the field.
His results are audited annually and demonstrate high success rates with a low complication rates
He was the top medical student at the University of Dundee, having won numerous prizes. He was one of the only 4 students out of 140 that graduated with honours degree and the only student of his year to also have a first class honours degree of Medical Sciences in Pharmacology. He worked in some of the major hospitals around Manchester and trained in Cardiology at the North Western Deanery. During his fellowship at the University of Western Ontario, Canada, he became an expert in cardiac pacing and the latest ablation techniques especially for atrial fibrillation. He trained under the supervision of Professor George J Klein, a leading name in the field. Dr. Fox's great interest in atrial fibrillation ablation is reflected onto his research work as he has published several very influential papers on the topic.
He was appointed Consultant Cardiologist at the University Hospital of South Manchester in 2008, where he is the lead clinician of the open access atrial fibrillation clinic and the rapid access palpitation clinic.

On behalf of my wife and myself, we wish to offer Dr Fox our grateful thanks for his 'restoration' with the pacemaker fitment and subsequent 'retune'. After so many hospital visits with really no feedback on positive results - to get an instant diagnosis and positive information from Dr Fox was a revelation. It is a great pity that we had not known about him sooner!
Words cannot express how thankful I am for everything that Dr Fox has done. He has given me my life back. Before the procedures I could only have walked between 300-500 steps. Now I do an average of 8,000 -12,000 plus a day!. My life has changed so much from having the flutter ablation , I am back enjoying my sleep and gradening etc. I can now get on with my life and it has even helped me loose a stone in weight. I find Dr Fox's combination of affability and to-the-point professionalism very commendable. He engages with me fully, is a good listener and asks appropriate questions, proffering information that I - as a non-medical person - can understand, thus making me feel at ease.
