I honestly cannot thank Dr Sherif Awad and the whole team enough for looking after me throughout my gallbladder surgery. As someone who had never had a surgery before, being away from home and without family around made the whole experience quite frightening. I had so many questions and, naturally, a lot of anxiety. I was initially diagnosed and seen by another doctor at the same hospital. Although my first impression was positive, when it came to discussing the surgery, the consultation lasted no more than 15 minutes. I left feeling unsure and still quite scared. When the doctor noticed my hesitation, he even said, (“Your gallbladder can’t be as bad as the traffic on Sheikh Zayed Road.”) I appreciate it may have been intended as a joke, but at that moment, I really needed reassurance rather than humour. A friend then recommended Dr Sherif, and I’m genuinely so glad I decided to see him. Our first consultation lasted almost an hour. He took the time to go through my case properly, explain everything from A to Z, talk me through the pros and cons and answer every question I had. Nothing was rushed, and I never felt silly for asking questions or expressing my fears. For the first time, I felt that someone had really taken the time to understand how I was feeling, not just look at my medical case. I left that consultation feeling much calmer and confident about going ahead. That care continued from the day I was admitted, throughout the operation and during my recovery. Dr Sherif kept checking on me personally, which I found incredibly reassuring. I also want to say a huge thank you to Dr Sherif, Dr Lamia the anaesthetist and the ER crew on the surgery day as well as Charice and Binu, who were so lovely and patient with me post surgery and to all the other nurses and staff who looked after me, including the lovely girl serving my meals in room #515 whose name I unfortunately didn’t get. You all made such a difference to my stay. When you’re going through your first surgery in a country where you don’t have your family around, you really appreciate the little things. The kindness, the check-ins, the reassuring words and simply having someone there when you need them. I felt genuinely looked after, and that meant more to me than words can explain. Dr Sherif, thank you for your time, your expertise, confidence and for making what was a very daunting experience so much easier. I’m so grateful I was referred to you and that I put my trust in you. I hope you and the entire team know how much your care meant to me. I won’t forget it ✨🤍✨

I would like to share my concerns regarding my recent consultation, I had a very disappointing experience. During the appointment, I tried to explain my symptoms, including shoulder and arm pain, as well as my concerns about my high blood pressure and cholesterol levels. I also explained that Dr. Mir Ali had recommended that I consult a cardiologist for further assessment and possible investigations. However, I did not feel that my concerns were properly addressed. I felt that the doctor did not take sufficient time to understand my symptoms or ask further questions about the cardiologist's recommendation. Additionally, the doctor was wearing a mask and sitting at a considerable distance, which made it very difficult for me to hear her. I had to repeatedly ask her to repeat what she was saying. At the end of the consultation, I was simply advised to continue taking my cholesterol medication and return after one month. I left feeling that my concerns, particularly regarding my shoulder and arm pain and the recommendation for further cardiac assessment, had not been adequately addressed. I believe patients should feel heard, understood and properly assessed, especially when they are experiencing symptoms that require further medical attention. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously.

The GP and Derma doctor I visited today were very professional and did their best to guide me and find a solution to my recurring allergic reactions. The nurses sitting at the nurse stations were however not very helpful and seems like they didn’t care. I had to myself ask them where is the lab and follow up with what the doctors said I needed. I had to be pierced twice because I was sent to two different areas to do the same works- taking blood and giving medication which could have been done with just one piercing. When I asked they just said go to lab as though I’d know where lab was. Management could improve in giving directions and making it visible. I’m sure all sick people coming to the clinic are expecting and would appreciate smooth check up and treatment. Making sick people to Go from one counter to another isn’t very nice or more reflective of the care u should be providing!
