Outstanding and Great Patient Experience badges are awarded to healthcare providers annually and will display a date indicating the year it was awarded.
To ensure that these badges reflect recent and long-term patient satisfaction, providers are scored on multiple metrics:
- The number of verified patient reviews they’ve received
- Their overall Patient Trust Score (0 – 5 stars)
- The recency of the verified patient reviews they’ve received
Their score against these metrics determines which badge, if any, they have earned:
- Outstanding Patient Experience: Awarded to the top 10% of providers.
- Great Patient Experience: Awarded to the next 20% of providers (10-30th percentile).

Leaving reviews on Doctify
How do I leave a review?
If your healthcare provider uses Doctify to collect patient feedback
They will invite you to leave an anonymous review via Doctify after your appointment. Usually via email, SMS/WhatsApp, QR code, or a tablet in the clinic.
If you were not invited to leave a review, you can:
- Ask your healthcare provider directly for their Doctify review link. They are obliged to provide you with the ability to leave a Doctify review after your appointment.
- Or, contact us at patientreviews@doctify.com and we’ll help you submit your review.
You’ll need to share proof of your appointment with us, such as:
- An invoice or payment receipt
- An appointment or discharge letter
Your proof of your appointment should clearly show:
-
- The clinic and/or health professional’s name
- The date of your appointment
- Your full name
If your healthcare provider does not use Doctify to collect patient feedback
If you believe in the power of patient voices, let your provider know. Many welcome feedback – and knowing you want to share your experience may encourage them to start using Doctify to collect patient feedback.
My doctor is not collecting reviews on Doctify – why?
If their profile says “Not actively collecting reviews right now”, they are not using Doctify’s review software and so reviews cannot be submitted.
Only specialists and clinics who subscribe to Doctify’s review software can collect patient reviews via Doctify.
If your healthcare provider isn’t subscribed:
- Their profile will show 0 reviews
- You’ll see the message “Not actively collecting reviews right now”
- There is no way to leave a review, even if you had an appointment
If you believe in the power of patient voices, let your healthcare provider know. Many welcome feedback – and knowing you want to share your experience may encourage them to start using Doctify to collect patient feedback.
What happens after I leave a review?
- You will receive a confirmation SMS (text message) and WhatsApp message:
“A review has been submitted on Doctify using your phone number. If this wasn’t you, please click the following link: [url].”
• Opt-Out Option: Don’t want your review to be published? No problem! Just click the link in the SMS and Whatsapp within 7 days to flag and remove it.
• Automatic Verification: If no opt-out action is taken within 7 days, the review is automatically verified.
- Once automatically verified, your review will then be moderated before being published on the profile of the specialist or practice that you reviewed.
This can take several working days. We publish all reviews that adhere to our Patient Review Policy.
If you’d like an update on your review, please contact the Patient Support Team at patientreviews@doctify.com and include the phone number you used to leave the review. We’ll be happy to help.
Can I edit or remove my review?
Get in touch with our Patient Support Team at patientreviews@doctify.com if you would like to edit or remove it.
In your request, please confirm the phone number used to leave the review and the amendments you would like to make,
I left a review but I can’t find it on their profile – why?
There are a few possible reasons why your review may not appear on the profile:
- It couldn’t be verified: If there was an issue with the phone number provided, or if you opted out during the SMS or WhatsApp verification process.
- It’s under assessment: If the review was flagged (by either Doctify or the provider) for potentially breaching our Patient Review Policy, it may be temporarily hidden while our Clinical Governance Committee assesses it.
- It was removed: If the review was found to violate our Patient Review Policy, it may have been permanently removed after independent review.
- The provider is no longer subscribed to Doctify’s review collection software: If a provider stops using Doctify’s review software, all reviews on their profile are unpublished and archived. If they re-subscribe, those reviews will be reinstated.
If you’d like an update on your review, please contact the Patient Support Team at patientreviews@doctify.com and include the phone number you used to leave the review. We’ll be happy to help.

Doctify Reviews
What’s the difference between Doctify and other websites with reviews?
Only real patients can leave reviews, and only verified health professionals can leave skill endorsements.
This keeps Doctify trustworthy, unlike open systems (like Google Reviews) where anyone can chime in and leave a fake or misleading review.
Why have I been asked to leave a review via Doctify?
Doctify is a healthcare directory, powered by verified patient reviews.
Your review helps in two key ways:
- Improve care: Providers use your feedback to enhance patient experience.
- Guide others: Future patients rely on reviews to make informed choices. 90% look for online reviews before booking an appointment!
Additionally, reviews via Doctify are:
- Completely optional: You’re free to ignore the request.
- Privacy respected: Reviews are anonymous. Plus, your personal data isn’t shared or used for marketing purposes.
Can doctors choose which patients are allowed to leave a review?
No. All patients have the right to leave a review – not just those with positive experiences.
Healthcare providers using Doctify’s review software must not selectively invite only certain patients to leave reviews. This kind of “cherry-picking” goes against regulatory guidelines and Doctify’s own rules.
If your healthcare provider is using Doctify’s review software, but you were not invited to leave a review after your appointment, you can:
- Ask your healthcare provider directly for their Doctify review link. They are obliged to provide you with the ability to leave a Doctify review after your appointment.
- Or, contact us at patientreviews@doctify.com and we’ll help you submit your review.
You’ll need to show us proof of your appointment, such as:
- An invoice or payment receipt
- An appointment or discharge letter
Your proof of your appointment should clearly show:
- The clinic and/or consultant’s name
- The date of your appointment
- Your full name
Can doctors delete or edit reviews they don’t like?
No. Healthcare providers cannot delete or edit reviews just because they disagree with them.
All reviews on Doctify go through a fair and independent moderation process to make sure they follow our Patient Review Policy. Providers cannot change, block, or hide reviews simply because they are negative or unflattering.
However, if a provider believes a review violates our policies – for example, if it contains offensive language – they can flag it.
What happens when a review is flagged?
Flagged reviews are:
- Temporarily unpublished
- Independently assessed by our Clinical Governance Committee
What’s the outcome of the assessment?
- If the review meets our policy, it is reinstated.
- If it violates our policy, it is permanently removed.
All decisions are made independently by the Clinical Governance Committee – not by the healthcare provider.
Examples of why a review might be removed by the Clinical Governance Committee:
- Offensive, abusive, hateful, or obscene language
- Personal or identifying information (reviews must remain anonymous)
- Comments focused only on pricing, not quality of care
- Promotional, advertising, or spam content
- Misleading medical claims or statements requiring expert validation
- Defamatory statements or impersonation
- Content promoting violence, discrimination, or illegal activity
- Threats, harassment, or anything likely to cause distress
Since doctors pay Doctify, are only positive reviews shown?
No. Healthcare providers cannot influence which reviews are published, even if they pay for our service.
Here’s how it works:
- Health professionals and practices pay a subscription fee to use Doctify’s software for collecting reviews.
- This allows them to gather structured patient feedback, but not to control or filter it.
- Reviews are moderated by Doctify – not the provider – based only on content policies.
Even if a provider is paying Doctify, negative or mixed reviews are still published. Our priority is to ensure that patient feedback is trustworthy, unbiased, and transparent.
