Users are responsible for exercising their judgment and selecting their own Healthcare Provider – Doctify does not make any endorsement or recommendation.

Doctify is an intermediary that hosts patient feedback and is not itself a provider of healthcare or clinical services. We do not endorse or recommend any Healthcare Provider, and ratings  of Healthcare Providers are determined by patient feedback. Your experience of a Healthcare Provider may not match that of other patients and feedback or a rating on Doctify should not be regarded as a guarantee of quality. The quality of care provided by healthcare Providers is a matter between the Provider, the patient and any applicable healthcare or other professional regulator and Doctify has no responsibility or legal liability in this regard.

The Platform is intended for use by adults aged 18 or over.

What’s in these terms?

These terms tell you what is permitted and prohibited while using the Doctify platform (our “Platform”) and apply to all users, and however you are accessing the Platform.

These terms include information on how we protect users from harmful or illegal content.

These terms are separate from and in addition to the legal terms and conditions that govern a contract with us for services.

We amend these terms from time to time. Please check these terms to ensure you understand the terms that apply at the time of use. These terms were most recently updated on the 25th November 2025.

We may make changes to our Platform

We may update and change our Platform from time to time to reflect changes to our offerings, our users’ needs and our business priorities.

We may suspend or withdraw our Platform

We do not guarantee that our Platform, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. We may suspend or withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any part of our Platform (whether generally or for specific users or categories of users) for business and operational reasons at our discretion. You must not disclose it to any third party.

We have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms of use.

If you know or suspect that anyone other than you knows your user identification details  or password, you must promptly notify us at hello@doctify.com.

How you may use material on our Platform

We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our Platform. Those works are protected by copyright and database right laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.

We are the owner of all intellectual property rights in content on our Platform (including reviews and other user-generated content but excepting any mention of trade marks owned by third parties).

No text or data mining, or web scraping

You must not conduct, facilitate, authorise or permit any text or data mining or web scraping in relation to our Platform or any services provided via, or in relation to, our Platform for any purpose. This includes using (or permitting, authorising or attempting the use of):

  • Any “robot”, “bot”, “spider”, “scraper” or other automated device, program, tool, algorithm, code, process or methodology to access, obtain, copy, monitor or republish any portion of our Platform or any data, content, information or services accessed via the same.
  • Any automated analytical technique aimed at analysing text and data in digital form to generate information or develop, train, fine-tune or validate AI systems or models which includes but is not limited to patterns, trends and correlations.
  • Creating or cleansing any databases, mailing lists or prospecting lists.
  • Deep linking, framing, or using similar or equivalent techniques in relation to the Platform.

The provisions in this clause should be treated as an express reservation of our rights in this regard, including for the purposes of Article 4(3) of the Digital Copyright Directive ((EU) 2019/790) and similar or equivalent UK law.

You shall not use, and we do not consent to the use of, our Platform, or any data published by, or contained in, or accessible via, our Platform or any services provided via, or in relation to, our Platform for the purposes of developing, training, fine-tuning or validating any AI system or model or for any other purposes not explicitly set out in the agreements that govern your use of the Platform.

This clause will not apply insofar as (but only to the extent that) we are unable to exclude or limit text or data mining or web scraping activity by contract under the laws which are applicable to us.

Uploading content to our Platform

Whenever you make use of a feature that allows you to create content directly on our Platform, query the Platform or upload or share content to our Platform, or to make contact with other users of our Platform, you must comply with the standards set out below under Acceptable Use.

If you wish to leave a review of a Healthcare Provider you will need a review code. This will normally be issued to you by the Healthcare Provider. Doctify can also issue a review code if relevant proof is provided of the appointment to hello@doctify.com.

Following leaving a review, Doctify will verify that review using the mobile phone number you have provided. Only verified reviews appear on the platform.

Only one review may be submitted per appointment, and only one review per patient on each Healthcare Provider can be left every 30 days.  We may verify the source of a review (including IP address) and remove duplicate or multiple reviews believed to originate from the same user.

When leaving a review, you warrant that any such contribution complies with those standards set out under Acceptable Use, and you are liable to us and indemnify us for any breach of that warranty. This means you will be responsible for any loss or damage we suffer as a result of your breach of warranty.

By uploading any content to our Platform you assign ownership of any and all rights that may arise in that content to us. You warrant to us that such content does not infringe the rights of any third party.

Without a valid lawful basis, you must not upload to the Platform any information whatsoever relating to an identified or identifiable living person (known in data protection law as “Personal Data”) or any information that is confidential, privileged, proprietary or otherwise sensitive. You must not upload personal data other than as necessary for posting lawful reviews about healthcare providers, and you must ensure such data is accurate, relevant and not excessive. You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis under UK data protection law before uploading any personal data.

We keep your information as a patient private. We only disclose your identity where we are required to by law (e.g. a statutory obligation or a court order) or where there is an imminent and credible threat to life or limb.

We have the right to remove any posting you make on our Platform if, in our opinion, your post does not comply with the acceptable use standards set below.

If you wish to contact us in relation to content you have uploaded to our Platform and that we have taken down, please contact us via the in-Platform functionality or via hello@doctify.com.

Healthcare Provider follow-up custom questionnaires.

After you submit a review, a Healthcare Provider may offer additional customised questions. These questionnaires are created by the Healthcare Provider for their benefit outside the Doctify approved review journey. Doctify stores the data in these surveys on behalf of the Healthcare Provider. Responses are shared with the relevant Healthcare Provider. Responses are User Generated Content and must fully comply with the Acceptable Use rules in Part 2 below.

Rights you are giving us to use material you upload

If you upload or post public content or share content publicly (User-Generated Content) to our Platform (for example a review of a Healthcare Provider) you assign ownership of any rights in that content to us. If for any reason that assignment of ownership is not effective you grant us the following rights in relation to that content:

  • A worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable licence to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform that User-Generated Content in connection with the service provided by the Platform and across different media including to promote our Platform, forever.
  • A worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable licence to edit your content to comply with these Terms of Use or the Acceptable Use Policy.
  • A worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable licence for other users, partners or advertisers to use the content in accordance with the functionality of our Platform, forever.
  • If you send us (or provide in any manner or format) any question, comment, suggestion, idea, feedback, or other information about the Platform or our services (‘Submissions’), you agree to assign to us all intellectual property rights in such Submission. You agree that we shall own this Submission and be entitled to its unrestricted use and dissemination for any lawful purpose, commercial or otherwise, without acknowledgment or compensation to you.
  • You waive any moral rights you may have in public User-Generated Content as fully as the law permits

User-Generated Content is not endorsed by us

Our Platform may include information and materials uploaded by other users. Some of this information and these materials may not have been verified or approved by us. Where we do review materials their addition to the Platform does not constitute endorsement or recommendation by Doctify. The views expressed by other users on our Platform do not represent our views or values. We are not responsible for the accuracy of User-Generated Content on the Platform.

See also the restrictions on User-Generated Content in the Acceptable Use section below.

Content on Healthcare Provider profiles is the responsibility of the Healthcare Provider, not Doctify.

User-Generated Content may be edited or deleted by us

We normally apply a short moderation delay (currently 24 hours) before publishing new reviews. This delay allows us to screen for profanity or personal data. We do not otherwise edit or alter the substance of patient reviews, except as required by law or our Clinical Governance Committee.

We may delete materials uploaded by users:

  • To comply with the provisions of these Terms or any applicable law, regulation, court order, OFCOM guidance or other prudent governance of an online platform.
  • If Content fails verification, cannot be linked to a genuine appointment, or contains expletives or other inappropriate elements.
  • To anonymise personal data.
  • In accordance with a decision made by our Clinical Governance Committee.

We may edit materials uploaded by users:

  • To anonymise personal data
  • To comply with the provisions of these Terms (including those relating to Acceptable Use) or any applicable law, regulation, court order, OFCOM or other regulator guidance or other prudent governance of an online platform.

Do not rely on information on the Platform

Although we make reasonable efforts to keep the Platform up to date, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on our Platform is accurate, complete, up to date, or that the Platform is suitable for any particular use. The Platform is provided on an as-is basis. As set out in more detail below, we are not responsible for content accessible via the Platform but from third party websites or other third party sources.

Please note that the Content on the Platform is provided solely for your information and you use the Platform at your own risk. The Content does not provide you with any advice or recommendation of any kind and must never be used as a substitute for, nor does it replace, professional medical advice, diagnosis, assistance or treatment or procedure. Nothing stated or posted on the Platform is intended to be and must not be taken to be the practice of medicine or other professional healthcare advice or the provision of medical care. Do not disregard, avoid or delay obtaining medical advice from a qualified Healthcare Provider based on what you have read on the Platform and do not use the Platform for emergency medical care or needs. In a medical emergency, immediately contact the emergency services.

Some listings on our Platform may be sponsored

Some listings or search results on Doctify may be marked as “Sponsored.” These are paid placements made by Healthcare Providers to enhance the visibility of their profiles within search results on the platform.

Sponsored Listings are clearly labelled and are not an endorsement or recommendation by Doctify. They do not reflect any superiority of (or any other assessment of) clinical quality, medical expertise, or patient outcomes, and should not be interpreted as such.

Doctify does not verify the medical superiority of providers who choose to sponsor their listings. All providers, whether sponsored or not, are subject to the same platform standards and listing criteria.

No patient activity or personal data (including special category data such as health information) influences the ranking of Sponsored Listings.

We are not responsible for websites and third party services we link to

You must not interfere with, damage or disrupt any software used in the provision of our Platform or any equipment or network or software owned or used by any third party on which this Platform relies in any way. You must not attack our Platform via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of-service attack. By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use our Platform will cease immediately.

Our responsibility for loss or damage suffered by you

References to “liability” in this section of the terms include every kind of liability arising under or in connection with your use of the Platform including but not limited to liability in contract, tort (including negligence), misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise.
