Dr Sinead O'Brien

Dr Sinead O'Brien is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician who specialises in Acute Paediatrics. She is committed to delivering high-quality medical care for infants, children, and young people presenting with urgent or complex health conditions. Her practice focuses on providing rapid clinical evaluation, effective management, and reassuring support to young patients and their families during stressful medical events.

Dr O'Brien completed her undergraduate medical education at the University of Manchester, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) in 2010. Demonstrating a broad commitment to healthcare standards and ethics, she also earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Medical Law and Ethics in the same year. She is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH).

In addition to her clinical duties as a Paediatrician, Dr O'Brien serves as a Lead for Clinical Governance in Acute Paediatrics. In this role, she actively oversees care quality, patient safety, and clinical standards to ensure optimal outcomes for children receiving acute care. Her academic grounding in medical ethics further informs her practice, ensuring thoughtful and empathetic patient care.
