Dr Robin Young

Dr Robin Young is a dedicated Consultant Medical Oncologist specialising in the comprehensive management of complex cancers. As a Clinical Lead in teenage and young adult cancer care, he provides empathetic, individualised care for patients undergoing treatment for solid tumours. His practice focuses on delivering advanced, evidence-based oncological care, ensuring that each patient receives a tailored treatment plan aligned with the latest clinical developments.

Dr Young completed his primary medical degree (MBChB) at the University of Edinburgh, qualifying in 1999. He subsequently undertook specialist higher training in Medical Oncology, during which he was awarded a clinical research fellowship. Demonstrating a strong commitment to academic medicine and clinical excellence, Dr Young went on to earn a Master of Science (MSc) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). He is also a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP).

Throughout his career, Dr Young has maintained a major focus on clinical research and trial innovation. Serving as a principal investigator for numerous national and international clinical trials, he actively explores novel targeted therapies, chemotherapy regimens, and chemo-immunotherapy combinations. His research interests particularly emphasise understanding the tumour microenvironment and developing vascular targeted therapies, with the goal of improving patient outcomes and expanding access to cutting-edge treatments.
